Entry level Sony 28" widescreen TV
Advantages: Sony quality, good picture, cheapest of range for Wega TV
Disadvantages: very heavy (43kg), limited connections
...I saw a refurbished bargain - only £160 instead of the £320 usual price. Could I refuse this for a Sony Wega 28" TV? Certainly not, so it replaced my aged Panasonic 21" normal TV.
As with any widescreen CRT TV the first thing you notice is the sheer physical size. The box only just squeezed through the door, and the TV took two people to lift. Styling is smart with curves sweeping backwards and a silver finish.
There are two scart connections at the rear, but only one is RGB compatible. There is also an AV socket at the front for videocameras etc. Higher end TVs usually have more RGB capable scart sockets so this TV requires you to either daisychain your equipment or buy a signal switcher box - I have a DVD, FTA digibox, VCR, and Sky+ all daisychained to the single RGB scart. The TV autosenses which item was last turned on so...

Sony 32" LCD WEGA Flat Panel HDTV
Advantages: great picture quality
Disadvantages: the TV may not be good for interior designing.
...Sony has a wide variety of Television to choose from. Flat TV is the most popular choice for buying a TV but have you consider buying a flat tv with HDTV?
Well, if you are planing Sony 32" LCD WEGA Flat Panel HDTV is the best product to buy. Wtih many features in this product, you cannot ask for more.
Actually, I always bought Sony products because they are always trusted when it comes to quality. My fist TV experience in this product is really awesome. This has a great picture quality that you always look in TV. And also, it is like you were on a cinema when you are watching because of it's amazing sound quality. You'll never ask for more.
Lastly, this TV comes with a great low prices. Buy 32" because TV that are 40" to 50" wide have a poor picture quality....

SONY IS NUMBER ONE!! AWESOME LCD WEGA TV!!
Advantages: Excellent Picture Quality
Disadvantages: None
...This SONY 26' LCD WEGA HDTV is the wave of the future. It has everything that you need in an LCD TV. Sony does in fact make the very best looking products and QUALITY to. I have over 35 different types of Sony products and they keep working no matter if you drop them or how hard you use them.
Well this TV takes the cake. I just bought it yesterday and it is well worth the high price tag. I also bought the 23 inch that Sony makes and that is also very good. This 26 inch LCD TV sounds great with the WOW effect. It is so easy to use and hook up. The wire management system is the very best. Here are the PROS about this TV.
PROS:
Great quality and design.
Bright, Clean, Clear and Sharp picture.
There is no picture drag/trail with fast moving objects.
Viewing angle is a 170 degrees, you cant ask for anything more than that...

Sony WEGA TV with OnDigital and surround sound
Advantages: Built in OnDigital and 5.1 surround sound for that cinema experience
Disadvantages: Expensive. Need to check on availability of signal.
...The Sony KV-32DS60U is a 32" widescreen TV with digital circuitry built in so you do not need a Digibox to receive the new digital broadcasts. The set is easy to setup as it can detect and program itself automatically. The standard analogue channels (BBC throught to Channel 5) are available as well as SHOP!, BBC NEWS 24, ITV2 and some others. Premium rate channels aren't included but OnDigital have told me that this TV, an IDTV, can receive premium channels after a subscription is set up.
Trying to contact Sony's digital helpline is a nightmare. After numerous attempts I still haven't been able to talk to anyone. This is an area where they need to definitely improve their service.
Connecting a VCR and DVD to the TV is easy. If the VCR has smartlink the TV can deliver the program presets direct to the VCR for analogue recording. If...

Out of the Middle Ages and into the 21st Century
Advantages: Excellent sound and picture quality. Picture-in-Picture Capability
Disadvantages: A bit awkward to get out of the box
...My television of 16 years was starting to become rather unpredictable. The on/off switch had already broken ? so much so I'd had to cover it with sellotape to make sure I didn't feel tempted to try to turn the television off using it. If I had been daft enough to try to switch my television off I knew I'd never get it switched back on again, so I always had to leave it on standby. Then, to make matters worse, my tv had started to take increasingly longer to warm up and show a picture ? by the time I had decided enough was enough, it was taking 10 minutes to warm up, it was driving me mad!!! I was definitely stuck in the dark ages of television and I finally had an excuse to break free.
So the great television investigation began, the report of which can be found in an op about John Lewis, where I finally purchased my Sony 28FX66...

Excellent Flat-Screen TV
Advantages: Flat Screen, Great picture and sound quality
Disadvantages: Wish there are more sockets
...When my 8-year old rounded?screen television set started to produce unnecessary green and purple colours, I decided to get another telly. Though I wanted to keep that old TV for sentimental reasons, the distorted colour made me want to throw it out of the window at times. I wanted to save that television set anyway so I had it checked by a technician and he diagnosed it with a damaged picture tube so I ended up ordering SonyKV28FS20.
When the television set arrived, I was surprised with the very huge box. The two delivery men did have a hard time getting it out from the delivery van and into my house. When the box was opened, I was amazed with that big pretty TV. A rabbit antenna, a remote control and a multi-language user manual were in the box too.
SET UP
Set up was easy once the SonyKV28FS20 is installed. I just put...

Sony's WEGA
Advantages: Amazing contrast and colour
Disadvantages: Price
...I bought this TV after looking at many TVs,. I would recommend this TV for anyone who wants to get the best out of DVD's. The most shocking feature of this TV is that the screen is perfectly flat and has an amazingly vivid and colourful picture. The 100Hz processing dose not cause any artifacts or motion blur. It also has excellent sound but I would still recommend running it through a Hifi. A usfull feature of this TV is that it caches the pages on teletext so you can step through them.
The TV comes with a stand with tinted glass windows that intergrates with the TV seamlessly. Panasonic?s Tau TV' are similar but I prefer the Sony....

Sony WEGA - Probably the Best
Advantages: Picture and Sound
Disadvantages: Boy is this thing heavy (65kg), SMART setting not too smart
...I spent over a year looking around before short listing the Sony. I actually brought it through the LetsBuyIt.Com co-buyer and spent £889, but that didn't include a stand or for that matter an English-Language manual!
However, you don't need a manual to set it up the TV or to use it. One of the more striking features is that the screen is perfectly flat which does take a bit of getting used to - now I have problems looking at stand 4:3 sets!.
I would recommend this TV for anyone who wants to get the best out of DVD's. The picture is superb and the 100Hz processing appears to work with no signs of flicker. The sound is excellent even with just the two speakers, but I would recommed hooking up a surround sound system.
The TV sports 3 scart sockets on the rear, one of which can be switched to phono inputs on the front. 3...

Widen Your horizons
Advantages: Wide Screen, Digital, Brilliant
Disadvantages: sometimes, the picture
...home anyway and good enough for me (right now). But it's not the full cinema surround sound.
The TV looks good, displays a good picture and has enough options to keep us geeks busy! It also has some very useful features.
Wide screen is the way forward, so is digital TV. This TV incorporates both and is a great buy.
However, it is (or at least was when we got it) quite expensive. You get a great TV, but I wouldn't say it's worth every penny.
I love our TV, I would recommend it to anyone. And yes, it even has fast text!!

My Box Of Delights
Advantages: Excellent sound and picture quality
Disadvantages: Some may find £1600 an unacceptable price tag
...When it came to replacing my television two years ago, I was a little unsure as to which brand I would be better off with. My existing television set was a Sony Trinitron, which was a good piece of kit, but had been plagued with problems virtually since the day I bought it. I swore to myself that I would never buy another Sony, but when I started looking around, I found myself drawn once again to the Sony range. I had been reliably informed that when I bought my last Sony TV, the company was going through a bit of a bad patch, but things had now improved greatly. So, against my better judgement, I once again opted for a Sony television set.
AESTHETICS
After much deliberation, the model that I purchased was the KV 28DS60U. To the best of my knowledge, a very similar model has superseded this set, with a very similar model number...
