Xperience The Xcellence of Xperia X1
Advantages: elegant body looks, lots of feature, qwerty keyboard....
Disadvantages: Price, price, price....
...Foreword
Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 is truly an excellent smartphone that offers a lot of cool features and stilysh design. According to the price range, we can see that this is a luxury, high-end class smartphone. Being the Sony Ericsson?s first smartphone that using Windows Mobile as it?s operating system, Xperia held a great expectation from the company to be a new market leader. Lots of features, customizeable interactive panel menu, stylish design are only several great point of innovations that Xperia can offer. I will try my best to review it for you guys. Here we go?
First Impression : Design.
This smartphone using a slide-out style with solid metal polished for it?s whole body, makes it really cool and elegant. Xperia available in silver & black color, which truly represent an elegance. The display screen is one the most attractive...

Sony Ericsson's Finest!
Advantages: Great looks, feels well made, great functions
Disadvantages: Could do with a better camera.
...The Sony Ericsson X1 is the first in the new range of Xperia products by Sony Ericsson.
Although the product isn't released until 30th September 2008, I have had the pleasure to use one of the pre-production models for around two weeks. Whilst there are improvements on the launch model, I am confident that the pre-production model has given me an insight in to what to expect from this handset.
The X1 is the first, and possibly the last Sony Ericsson handset to use the Windows as an operating system. It uses Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. Sony Ericsson have not yet commented on whether the handset can be upgraded to Windows Mobile 7, however it doesn't seem they plan to release any further Windows based handsets.
I've noticed quite a few mobiles/PDAs where the keyboard slides out sideways, and in that aspect the X1...

Class, class and class Sony Cybershot DSC-HX1
Advantages: Mostly, read the review
Disadvantages: Price and picture quality
...platform promising and budding amateurs who want to make photography as a career option.
Again the rat race has probably began for megazoom dSLRS and will go on for sometime to come. Fortunately they are no longer battling for the size of the lens. Sony enters the megazoom category with Sony CyberShot DSC-HX1 probably keeping in mind 2009 will not see any decline in consumer interest for this type of super dSLRs. I must say that that entrance has in the least undermined its arrival in other categories. It is true that it is stuffed with some technologies form the Alpha dSLR ranges and they include:
1) ½.4 in 10 megapixel Exmor CMOS sensor (9 megapixel images)
2) 20X f2.8-5.2, 2.28- 560 mm equivalent optically stabilized lens.
Technically these dual incorporation should improve photo quality few notches higher than those in its class. But this...

Sony WX1 ROCKS !!
Advantages: SIZE. LOW LIGHT ABILITIES. SWEEP PANORAMIC. Full Frame Burst Mode.
Disadvantages: NO MANUAL MODES. ZOOM Limit.
...Ok. Well I feel compelled to write this brief review as I have had the opportunity of having the WX1 for a few days now. So far REALLY IMPRESSED by this camera.
First. I was surprised. It?s small. Surprisingly Small That?s a plus as it allows for discretion when you don?t want to make it obvious that you have a camera with you. It?s mobile phone size . Actually lengh wise it's Slimmer even. Width is understandably thicker though.
The 24mm lens is really handy. The w300 had a 35mm wide end and this was annoying as it meant a lot ?stepping back? or ?clipping off? of scenes? Not so with the WX1. It?s 24mm ?G? lens is Wide and believe me you will appreciate it. Nice one Sony.
I love its low light capabilities!! And I will say that twice if I have to.!
It?s AWESOME. ISO 400, 800, 1600 are all good in Program and iAuto modes...

Are You Xperienced?
Advantages: An impressive phone packed with features
Disadvantages: Software drags a bit
...The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 is a phone I have had the privilege of using during the past four weeks, it came as part of a monthly O2 24 month contract package at £30 a month so I didn't pay for the handset separately. It is a well designed phone with an overall finish of brushed metal that makes the shell case feel solid and pleasing to hold in the palm of the hand. The sleek design is enhanced by stylish peripheral buttons and the fact that there are no irritating floppy rubber doors covering ports. Yes, there are lighter and slimmer phones out there, but such attributes are really a matter of taste and fashion. Its dimensions are 17mm deep by 53mm wide by 110mm tall. Personally I really like the slim width of the phone and I like my gadgets to have substantial weight (the phone weighs in at 145 grams) to remind one that they're in your...

Sony KDL-40X3000
Advantages: Accurate Colours, Deep Blacks, Great HD picture
Disadvantages: Below-par video processing, expensive
...This television, for me, offers essentially everything - but at a price.
Aesthetics wise, it is excellent, the glass surround adding an extra element of design often missing in new televisions. There are plenty of connections available for use on the X3000/X3500, including HDMIx3 and Componentx3, and a USB slot.
Generally, I feel the Television offers very good image quality via SD Freeview, Sky or Virgin Media. During fast action scenes such as sports, the video processing of the Bravia Engine Pro lets the set down a bit - occasionally pixelated areas appear. This can be improved by activating the 'MotionFlow 100Hz' feature available, but it cannot be truely eliminated. However, HD is, as is most sets, where the Sony shines. The picture quality on Blu-Ray discs and the PlayStation 3 is excellent, with little to no motion blurring...

Never lose that phone again, Buy the I-Dect X1 Quad Set
Advantages: Four handsets. Excellent range
Disadvantages: Nothing new, need to set up numbers for each handset
...Background
We were on the lookout for a new set of phones as our old ones had seen better days. For some reason, my wife decided we needed a set of 4 so that we could have them placed strategically around the house so no matter where we were, we wouldn?t be too far away from one. We came across the iDect X1i series although, the asking price of £90 was far too steep for me. My wife, not to be beaten got onto eBay and managed to pick up a brand new set for what she described as a bargain £45. Personally, I still thought this was too much for a set of phones so I was very skeptical when they turned up at the door.
In the box
The box was reassuringly unopened. I say this as a few things that I?ve bought off eBay which have been described as new have turned out to be factory seconds. In the box were four neatly packed...

Sony D-NE1
Advantages: Great quality all around.
Disadvantages: Poor software
...I bought one of these a long time ago, just before the iPod craze went off and to be honest for it's time it was fantastic.
Of course it is a little bulky taking CD's and all, but not too much so. It is barely bigger than a CD in fact and was ideal for my needs at school. I used to have the CD part in my bag, then the remote trailed out of the zip. The remote is the coolest feature of this product as it has a small screen on it so you can read your albums and songs.
The major problem with it was the software, when you were creating an ATRAC CD it just took forever, once it was made it was perfect however. After my 3rd Gen iPod broke, and my newer Sony HDD system is on the blink this little bad boy is still going strong! Pity they're being phased out :(
Because it takes ATRAC CD you can fit stacks on CD's onto one CD (the amount depends...

I detect an IDECT X1
Advantages: unique design, cordless, sensitive buttons, LCD display, docking station, cheap
Disadvantages: None at all
...When I redecorated my flat I made sure there was plenty of silver around the main living area, with chrome edged mirrors accompanied by 2 silver and glass tables and to compliment this I decided to but the IDECT X1 cordless phone for £35 because it looks extremely cool and is packed with useful gadgets thats were bound to come in handy at some stage.
The phone sits in a little port which naturally plugs into the main socket to receive a signal and I have found that call quality is fantastic when wandering around the flat a distances up to 50 metres from the port. The battery lasts for anything up to 10 hours when not stored in the dock and the phone charges very quickly.
When in the port the phone has a speakerphone option which is crystal clear and the microphone seems to pick up sounds very well and I have no complaints...
