...I owned this phone for just over a year I was on 02 network and I paid £139.99 for it. The mobile phone software is very good but the phone itself is very disappointing!!!!! First of all the Sony Ericsson W580i comes with a 512MB memory card and a 2.0 mega pixel camera. This obviously means that there is alot of space for pictures, music and video files. The picture quality is also brilliant too. The menu's are easily accessable and is practically the same as other Sony Ericsson mobile phones. On the Sony Ericsson W580i you can listen to the local radio station, Play the Games (My phone came with two games), TrackID (This you put your phone next to a speaker and the song is ID'd but comes with a price), Video Player. A "Video dj" Which allows you to add your videos together, PhotoDJ which allows you to edit...

Sony Ericsson Story...

Advantages: Good value for money, excellent sound, good quality camera
Disadvantages: Battery runs down quickly

...I have always had a Sony Ericsson phone eversince i brought my first phone when i was very young. I really like the make and have never had any problems with Sony Ericsson phones, however i brought the W580i sometime last year and have been a bit dissapointed with its performance. I brought the phone from the carphone warehouse as i could it on the network that i wanted and for the first 6 months everything was fine but all of a sudden i began to have problems with the screen. I took it back to the shop and was told that this was quite a common problem with this model of phone. It was sent off to be repaired twice and has been ok since *touch wood!* The walkman on the phone is brilliant, it holds lots of music and the sound is really clear, the camera quality is also very good. It is an ideal shape as it can fit in to your pocket easily...

Advantages: slim, light-weight, feature packed phone

...I have had Sony Ericsson phone for the last 3 or 4 years now and am very happy with them. I find they are the easiest to use (nokia come very close) and they are good quality feature packed phones. This phone is not an exception. If you have used Sony Ericsson before you will be familiar with most of the features on this phone - the only difference really is the appearance and one or two features have been added or upgraded. If you are considering getting this phone, I would imagine you won't have to pay for it, it will be free on most contracts or around £200 sim-free! Shop around for the best deals? As this is a slide phone, you can answer a call by simply opening the phone up and end the call by closing it?it also locks automatically when it is closed which is good. Advantages: Thin, Good Memory, Aesthetically pleasing, good value for money.

...Please Note: Review was written quite a few months and has been updated. Why buy a digital camera when you can get an excellent camera and a phone in one! I had this sony ericsson k800i for about a year and a half and even though i must have dropped it like 100 times its still working really good! I've currently got another sony ericsson phone (see my review on c905). I'd say the camera on it is the best thing as it 3.2 mega pixel, the "cybershot" name pretty much gives it away on how sony erisson have made yet another gerat camera phone. As im always printing out actual photos in great quality, you would never guess they were from a phone. The camera section includes: Auto focus so the face is detected and makes taking photos easier, Picture blogging, Xenon flash which enables you to take good quality photos indoors and outdoors...

...This is a good mobile phone with lots of features. This mobile phone may be quite old today but it is very useful. If you are just a basic user of a phone like I am then this is as perfect for you as it is to me. It has all the basic communicating features such as calling, sms texting, WAP, voicemail, email. The keypad is very easy to use when texting, although people with bigger fingers my find it more difficult. The joystick is a huge improvement on the early Sony Ericsson phones as this one does not jam or stick and thus become redundant. There are also quick shortcut buttons to accessing the WAP, pictures and to the shortcut menu, which are handy. The screen is a decent size with great picture quality especially when you are taking pictures using the 3.2 mega pixel camera, which has a built in flash for taking photos in dark areas...

...does occasionally slow down and freeze and the screen sometimes takes a while to light up. I am, however pretty rough with my phones and always seem to end up dropping them etc so this has lasted well. Ease of use I had never had a Sony Ericsson phone before and I found this phone very easy to work out within a few minutes of playing around with it. I have never had nay problems with hearing people properly when they try to talk to me on this phone and find it easy to text on. It is also easy to switch between predictive and non-predictive texting. The phone can hold around 900 text messages before the memory gets full. Appearance This phone is fairly chunky and heavy as phones go. However, this is to be expected with the quality of the camera. Overall I am very pleased with this phone and would defiantly recommend it....
