The Audigy
Review of Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Player by
avensis004
Advantages: Features, gaming extras
Disadvantages: None
..., etc) to start with, the CD player/MediaSource is a hell of alot better, the speaker setting improved, the EAX better.
The recorder, mini disk centre, surround centre and wave studio (never used so don't know),
The downside of the card is that firewire (in my opinion) isn't that good. I would have expected the card to just some with the old game port on it, but now a year or two later, the new Audigy ZS (I think it is) now has the old port on it.
My opinion would be to get the ZS card, as I don't think that you can get the original Audigy card anymore.
The ZS would be a far better choice as creative are in my way the best soundcard manufacturer around, and for game the best....

The Audigy 2 ZS to gives better than any I have witnessed sound quality.

Basically this card can offer anything to anyone with ears! hehe
The stuff above was in the manual so - I am not totally...

Creative Audigy 2 ZS Notebook - a phenomenon
Review of Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Notebook by
j_f_ong
Advantages: Great Sound
Disadvantages: Limited software, little expensive
...have tried it with my 7.1 Creative set and the quality was very good but not quite up to my living room 5.1 system (made by Tannoy and costing £900!). It is comparable, obviosuly the bass is diffferent. It is very deep but a bit boomy with the creative set and mid range sounds (e.g. Voices) are not as well defined. However, it is a cheap and very listenable solution. I took the test a little further by using the digital optical Input on the Audigy 2 ZS and plugged into my PS3. The 7.1 set sounded even better with a BLuray disc in however my girlfriend could not tell the difference so it might not be as big a gap as expected.
My main use for the card is to produce dance music. It is so clear in stereo mode. I love using this card and run it through an external Cambridge audio amplifier to my Tannoy Mercury F1 Customs. this gives a good...

The Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum eX
Review of Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum eX by
reMaster
Advantages: Many features, high qaulity, overall good sound card!
Disadvantages: None that I can think of
...I got this card as a birthday present some months ago and a good present it wass too!
Where to start...
Well the Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum has more features than you can shake a stick at! Just go to www.creative.com and look for it.
But from my experience here is what you get:
>Really high sound qaulity and support for analouge and digital 5.1 surround sound speaker rigs.
>A whole load of ports and sockets for pluging things into (It has a whole box of extra ports that firts in a drive bay)
>Some cool affects from echos to voice changers, I've had some great fun with those!
>Some very usefull bundeled software.
When I got everything out of the box there were so many bits I thaught "This is going to take ages" But a quick read through the quick start guide and everything was clear. I was installing it in a Compaq system and they don...

C&C on Xbox or Vista
Review of Command and Conquer: Tiberium Wars (PC-DVD) by
rbell5ciao
Advantages: The old familiar idea
Disadvantages: The old familiar idea
...mb), Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 4
In Vistas performance ratings my PC scores as follows
processor: 3.7, memory: 2.9, graphics: 2.2, gaming graphics: 3.0, primary hard disk 5.3
In Vistas games explorer c&c is recommended to score 4.1, required 3.3, my system 2.2
After installing the game I found no shortcut on my desktop nor item in the start menu.
I had to find the .exe file and pin to start menu myself.
The game opens after a lengthy blank screen and I successfully went through the 'training session'
(so much easier using keyboard and mouse)
I have played the 1st 2 levels and have come across a sound problem with my Vista machines Audigy Sound card, its preducing clicks.
I have installed this on my XP machine that has on-board sound ~
but lower spec Radeon 9250 card and it run a lot smother. Vista users beware...

VT7 compatibility issues
Review of ABIT VT7 - motherboard - ATX - PT880 by
adehh
Advantages: Side mounted IDE ports, ABIT EQ hardware monitoring
Disadvantages: Bad compatibility
...I bought this motherboard as a cheap emergency after my previous motherboard (an Abit BE-7 RAID) died on me. My first impressions of the motherboard were quite high and I was eager to get it up and running. The motherboard installed with no problems what so ever and the instructions from Abit were satisfactory as usual.
After setting up the motherboard and installing Windows, I started to play a few games only to experience some serious frequent crashes in online gaming due to my network adapter dropping connections. I started to trouble shoot the issue and eventually found the problem to stem from a hardware conflict between a Creative Audigy 2 ZS and a Netgear GA311 Gigabit Adapater. When the Audigy sound card was removed I had no problems what so ever with my machine but as soon as the card as re-inserted the problems quickly...

Creative labs gets the formula spot on, again...
Review of Creative Labs Audigy 2 by
UrkiE-UK
Advantages: Higher sound quality and depth, widely supported in games, It's from Creative Labs, huge range of features.
Disadvantages: None if it was brought as a christmas pressie :)
...might have noticed, Media Player features it's own Time-Scaling ability if you look hard enough.
Performance.
This card has lots of oomph! and pizazz!, resulting in one of the most powerful sound chips on the market. Since installing, i've even seen a boost in performance compared to my previous card. This is all because it can take whatever you throw at it and not even cough. What's more, it does this whilst performing above and beyond in terms of quality and speed. If this card's so great, do developers take note? Yes! Have you ever spotted a Sound Blaster logo on the back of a game casing? Ever noticed a THX certification stamp there aswell? They're talking about the Audigy 2, baby!
Yep, The Audigy 2 is considered the greatest sound card out at this very moment by developers all around, and so is supported and compatible with almost all...
