It's as simple as; put the correct size of iPod point in the dock, plug in the power cable, put the iPod in the dock and away you go. And, it would probably (for the sake of emphasis) be good for me to point out here, that to all intents and purposes, I am completely technologically inept (I can't even change a plug!!). Anyhow, if someone like me can plug and play this magnificent device, anyone can!!! There are three drawbacks with the sound-dock. Neither of them are particularly alarming. The first is that, whenever you turn it off at the plug, when turned back on, it automatically goes to full volume. On a few occasions, this has left me frantically stabbing at the control...

...In my opinion the Bose sounddock was a great spend. I was looking for a quality product to enable me to listen to my iPod. I shopped around and tried out a few other speakers, e.g. JBL onstage. The Bose sound was remarkable. It was so clear it was unbelievable. I got a surround sound feeling whilst listening to the speakers and there was no sign of the low hum or odd crackle one sometimes finds accompanies certian speakers. I have now had my Bose speakers for a year. One year on and they still look new (the newer model still looks the same) and the sound is still clear and precise. It is very easy to function and from my point of view speakers which come without a remote are an uneccesary hassle, fortunately the Bose Sounddock comes with a very well equipped remote. It is idle for homes and small gatherings, although I would not run a party off these. Pros: This system has terrific sound and can go very load despite its relative small size. As with almost all Bose speakers the quality is amazing, so long as the source you are playing it from is high quality it will allow the speakers to each its potential. Bose Sound Dock (2nd Generation)

Advantages: Incredible sound from such a small unit, good build quality

...I bought this unit in November this year. There are two models, the original sound dock which I think is about £199 and the second generation one (the one I bought) which was £279 from John Lewis. The second generation one is basically the same as the first except: a) it has a rechargeable battery b) it has a swing out dock c) it has an auxiliary (3.5mm) jack input If you just want a basic model, then go for the first gen one. I got the second gen one because I thought the battery was a useful addition as is the auxiliary 3.5mm input - I have mine connected to an apple airport express that streams itunes from my laptop to my bedroom although I have used it in a friends house with my ipod too. Can't say enough good things about the Bose SoundDock

...I got this as a very generous housewarming gift after I had been lusting after it for months and I really honestly cannot say enough good things about it. The sound quality off of it is properly amazing, to the point where you can pick up all sorts of subtleties in songs you've been listening to for years that you may have never heard before. It's phenomenal how something so wee can produce such sound, this sits unobtrusively on a side table, and is hardly noticeable, until you turn it on. Advantages: Fun and funky, very different to the other girlbands out just now.
Disadvantages: A bit girl-oriented!

...because they do, particularly Nadine, but for the next album it'd be nice to see the other members get a little more limelight. They sing the odd line here and there but for a band, they need to share out the vocals a bit more. Perhaps that would have made the album a bit more interesting to hear. Also, the lyrics on the album sway a little more in favour of the girls, so boys might feel a bit strange about buying it and singing along! The Animal Ark book series by Lucy Daniels was very popular with me, and one of the titles was Tiger on the Track. Although you should never judge a book by its cover, I always do, so it is important that it looks quite good! The cover of this particular book is quite cute. There is an image of a tiger, staring out at you. While tigers can be quite scary, it reminds me of the lion king (ironically), and holds some emotions for me. It definitely drew me in.
