Advantages: Good, well structured book with case studies and food lists plus recipes
Disadvantages: Difficult to stick to

...I came across the South Beach Diet a few years ago as the book was a freebie on a magazine. I'd previously heard of the Atkins diet and thought it far too extreme for me. Don't get me wrong, I'm keen to lose weight but cutting out specific food groups indefinitely isn't something that I would be able to sustain or that imagined would be particularly healthy - not to mention some of the side effects that I had seen on TV and in magazines. In my opinion, The South Beach Diet is a "lite" version of the above. Basically, you cut out all carbs for the first 14 days, then slowly start to introduce good carbs back into the diet after 14 days. ...The Sagamore is located in Miami's trendy South Beach area close to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants, however there are many hotels to choose from in this district. This hotel was suggested to us by our travel agent for its great location and facilities but we were sceptical as it describes itself as an 'Art Hotel' - made me wonder whether the atmosphere would be stuffy and pretentious. On entering the hotel, art is very much in evidence with a selection of chairs and tables that look more like scuptures (some of which have notices telling you not to sit on them). However the reception staff were very welcoming. The elevator is a sight to behold, being lined with black alligator skin (real or fake) and minimal lighting - very 'Austin Powers'! Be a beach bum

...Grand Anse Beach is in the South West Coast of Grenada. It is on the Carribean side of the Island. The other side of the island is on the Atlantic Coast and the sea there can be quite rough at times. It is about a 10m minute drive from the capital St Georges and is reputed to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the carribean. We were staying in the next bay our hotel the Rex Grenadian was suituated at Pink Gin Beach. I just love that name. Advantages: cheap good area and close to beach
Disadvantages: not great entertainment rooms satisfactory

...Tenerife. This is a small island but with lots to do and see. With the main attraction being mount tedie. This is something that is well worth going to see and spending a day doing. It cost us about £15 per adult to go to the peek of tedie, worth taking warmer clothes as it gets rather cold and very wind (ladys don't wear a skirt) as i found out they fly away. Other places to visit which are good for shopping are Puerto de la Cruz and Santa Cruz. There are many other attractions and water parks to visit. compostela Beach resort I found this a nice clean place and are rooms were satisfactory we didnt have no tv or air conditioning which would of come in handy. As we stayed there for two weeks i did find that though we had are beds and towels changed regulary they didnt seem to sweep the floors so by the end of the two weeks...
