...South Lakes Wild Animal Park is about 10 minutes away from us, so we visit at least twice a year, and we are never bored. The park is fairly unique in that many of the animals are free roaming, or are allowed to roam within their own areas in amongst the visitors. The free roaming animals are found in the Australasia section of the park, with lemurs, kangaroos, emus etc, Food can be purchased at 50p a bag to feed the emus and the ducks. The lemurs are the only animals in that section that cannot be fed or stroked by visitors. Also in that section there is a large walk in aviary, with parrot and vultures, visitors can watch the vultures being fed daily. Another great feature of the park is the high walk ways. These allow visitors to see the animals from above, and in the case of the tigers on their climbing frame, the visitors...

Lake Nakuru National Park

Advantages: Flamingoes, Spotting Leopards, Lions, Rhino
Disadvantages: No elephants, small park

...I used to live in Kenya, about 50km away from the town of Nakuru. A regular activity for myself and the family would be to visit Lake Nakuru National Park every Wednesday afternoon. Having lived in Kenya, I had the chance to visit so many different game parks, however Nakuru has always been a firm favourite of mine. The park is set around Lake Nakuru, and so provides the perfect setting for any visitor to enjoy their game drive. The Park is very easy to drive around, so driving yourself is not a problem. The Lake is famous for its huge attraction of flamingoes (sometimes seen in their millions) throughout the year, which adds to the beauty of the landscape. Advantages: Beatiful scenery, unspoilt and outback
Disadvantages: Very hot, very wet at certain times of the year, not easily accesible without transport

...THE KATHERINE GORGE AND NITMILUK NATIONAL PARK KATHERINE: Katherine is a mining town in the Northern Territory of Australia there is not alot in the actual town but the reason for coming here is to experience the surrounding area and the Nitmiluk National Park. FRUIT BATS: We were in to the coach for 7.30 and off to Katherine Gorge for our gorge boat ride. The area where you board the boat is set up for picnics with BBQs and tables with chairs and there were nice clean toilets areas too which we made good use of. There was no reception area to speak of or any gift shop so you just had to wait around out in the open. We were entertained by the flying foxes hanging in the trees; every now and then one would fly across to another tree then fold himself up and hang from a branch again. ...Thrybergh Country Park lies approximately 3 miles to the North West of Rotherham Town Centre and about 9 miles to the West of Doncaster, in South Yorkshire and is one of the largest Country Parks in the region. At the centre of this Park lies a Reservoir, created in 1880 to supply Water to Doncaster and the surrounding area. However throughout its history this Reservoir never met the demands that were put on it, largely due to leakage from the reservoir floor. During the 1940's this Reservoir was producing 490,000 gallons of Water a day, but losing 100,000 gallons of this every day. By the 1960's it was only producing 350,000 gallons a day, but still losing 100,000 gallons every day, so it no longer became commercially viable. Advantages: Funny beyond belief
Disadvantages: Contraversial beyond belief

...Its been over 10 years since South park was first released and its still going strong to this day.There have been a total of 174 episodes up to now and it is in its 12th season. There has also been a movie "Bigger longer and uncut" With this 3 disc DVD set however you are getting the original 13 episodes from season one. South park has changed a lot in its 11 years on tele but it was still as funny back then as it is now. It was originally created by Matt Stone and Trey Parker who have gone on to star in a few movies themselves, the best of which being "BASEketball". South Park.... weeeeaaakkkk!

...If you've read previous reviews on South Park that I've done you'll know I'm a big fan of the work :) Unfortunately though this box set is a mixed box of tricks that at one moment works and has you laughing but the next episode will break that all down and you will be bored of watching :( Things start off really well with "Chinpokomon" a direct Mickey take of Pokemon in everything but name. The crazy Japanese have a new toy fad sweeping America and every child wants one. Kyle finds this hard as he can't understand the fad nor afford it so is always trying to keep up to fit in with his friends. When he gets a Chinpokomon his friends have moved on to the video game or game cards. Whilst Kyle battles with fitting in and being bullied by his friends the Japanese have an evil agenda... The evil plan is to brainwash the children...
