...CASTLE LODGE It was a family day out in Ludlow and whilst I was sitting resting on the bench, waiting for my hubby to return from checking the car and the parking fees, I noticed this really old Tudor style house opposite and on closer inspection discovered that it was open to the public. We didn?t go in straight away, but I did drop a big hint like, ?I want to go in there before we go home? to the family, so that they would not be surprised after the visit to the castle that we went in here. Lovely lodges and amazing hot tubs!

Advantages: Nice lodges, fantastic hot tubs!

...Drummohr Lodges are situated on the Firth of Forth, near Musselburgh, Scotland. The park is approx 8 miles from Edinburgh. I came across Drummohr Lodges while browsing through the Hoseasons brochure last year. I was looking for somewhere new to visit for a short break with my partner for his birthday in November, and having stayed in a few Hoseasons holiday parks previously and always finding them to be really nice, I didn't really want to look elsewhere. We do like to stay in lodges, preferably ones with hot tubs! So this was a particular requirement when looking through the various holiday parks in the brochure. Disney's Wilderness Lodge: Welcome Home

Advantages: A hotel brimming with personality and themed to perfection

...The Sequoia Lodge Hotel in Disneyland Paris is a 3 key rated (out of 4 keys) hotel in the Disneyland Paris hotels list, the actual hotel is located outside Lake Disney and is really close to all the fun around the Disney Village (about a 5 mintue walk). When I arrived at this hotel on the shuttle bus to Disney from the Charles De Gaull Airport my first instinct was that the hotel was clean and tidy and seemed to have a lot of helpful staff walking around it, I also noticed the Disney Shop in the hotel (which is standard to all hotels though is very handy for picking up last minute presents and memorabilia, and also for getting the odd snack e..g. crisps and sweets and juice to bring back to your room, though the shop is quite expensive). Pastures Lodge, We keep going back for more!

Advantages: Great family atmosphere, play areas, good choice of food
Disadvantages: Often very busy!

...The Pastures Lodge is a family pub/restaurant that my family and I have been visiting on a regular basis for a fair few years. Its situated on Pastures Road, Mexborough which is a few miles outside of Doncaster. We live quite near to the centre of Doncaster and it takes us about 15 minutes by car to get to the Pastures. The Pastures is owned by Paul Shane of Hi-De-Hi fame and occasionally he can be spotted propping up the bar. The main reason we visit the Pastures is for a family meal out at a place where the children can let off some steam. The Pastures has an indoor play area and a smaller outdoor play area. The indoor play area is separate from the rest of the pub with its own seating area. The outside play area has lots of outdoor seating around and is great for the summer. ...CHELSEA LODGE HOTEL 268 FULHAM ROAD LONDON SW10 9EW 10 min walk from Fulham Broadway tube, same to Earls Court I stayed on Saturday 25 October 2008 because of its (reasonably) close proximity to Earls Court where I was attending an exhibition. There was another similar rated hotel behind the underground station but it was reported to be very noisy and I thought a 10 minute walk from hotel to destination would be refreshing, which it was. This hotel is on a busy main road on the corner of a junction, but inside the big old building you were not really aware of this. ...The Forest Lodge Hotel was built in 1820 and was used as a hunting box by King George IV. The hotel retains much of its Georgian architecture and stands in its own grounds. It is located on the outskirts of the village of Lyndhurst in the heart of The New Forest in Hampshire. It is part of a chain of 4 hotels that come under the banner of New Forest Country House Hotels. This means that each hotel can be centrally booked and have the same cost and promotions. ...Squirrel Lodge is a bed and breakfast in Eskin Street, in Keswick. Keswick is a delightful town situated in the heart of the Lake District and is an ideal base for exploring the area for activities such as walking and cycling. The town itself has a good number of restaurants, pubs and shops. The bed and breakfast is situated near to the town centre, just a few minutes walk away. It's easy to get to and the location of the bed and breakfast is very convenient. The biggest challenge can be finding car park spaces, but this is a problem for many of the establishments (and indeed locals) in the area, but we were able to find spaces not too far on each occasion.
