...Southern Comfort originated in the late 1800's as a drink called Cuffs and Buttons and was produced in St. Louis, Missouri, it is a traditional American Liqueur made from peaches and bourbon with citrus and orange overtones. I decided to go to them because the people we bought the property off recommended them. I was very impressed at the time at how quickly I got through to the Customer Services and set up an account. I had never had storeage heaters before and wasn't sure of how they worked on the Economy 7 tariff. The customer services representative was very helpful and explained how Economy 7 worked and the advantages and disadvantages and also arranged for some literature to be sent out to me on storeage heaters. Often Angsty Soul from the Southern Hummingbird

Advantages: a different voice in music, great singer, some great songs, lyrics supplied in cd inlay
Disadvantages: a couple more upbeat tracks wouldn't go amiss!, underrated artist

...Has anyone else ever bought a cd that they've barely listened to and only given it a chance a few years later? For me "Southern Hummingbird" is one of those cds. I bought it back in 2002 but only gave it a proper listen this year - and it has definitely grown on me. For Tweet (or Charlene Keys as she was christened) herself, this album was virtually a matter of life or death. TomTom Western Europe, let Jane take the strain.

Advantages: Stress free travelling, comprehensive, clear instructions, cheap
Disadvantages: Some very minor glitches in confusing bends with turns

...I recently reviewed the TomTom one, which we bought with the Western Europe maps, and I have been waiting to put Jane (our name, after the voice) through her paces in rural France. As with all TomTom maps, easy to see, easy to use, easy to understand, and easy to update. Absolutely fantastic, I have no idea how we ever coped without her/it. From getting off the ferry, the map/navigation was spot on, good clear instructions, in plenty of time, and the first time I have ever got through Paris without a hitch. To give you an idea of how good, we bought a local map of where we were going on the Limousin/Perigord borders, that did not have the town we were staying in (I call it a town loosely) as it was so small, no problem for TomTom, straight there, which was welcome after 7 hours of driving. ...The Tom Tom ONE XL Europe is one of the easiest car navigation devices to use. It is mostly self explainatry but if you are unsure how to use it, the manual is very specific and very easy to understand. In my opinion the actual software that is installed on it is excellent. When driving, it is easy to follow all of the instruction that are being said by the automated voice. The one concern with this product is the very short battery life and sometimes, when it has been previously been connected to the computer to install updates, the system gets stuck and freezes. It has to be reset for it to function properly again and then it takes up to ten minutes!! There are many options that you can choose when planning your route so you drive the route that is most suitable for you. Other than the one disadvantage, it is a very good car navigation...

I actually, did, buy the V3 model first. When I did and went to set it up in the car I noticed the windscreen suction piece wasn't in the box and to top that, the actual sat nav seemed 2nd hand. Scratches - deep scratches - all over the sat nav. So I boxed it all back up and went back into Halfords. Served by the same person - baring in mind, it's the assistant manager. I told her the situation and that I wasn't pleased. She said, "I must of forgotten to tell you the sat nav I sold you was originally a display model". Which I don't believe as I doubt a display model would have scratches all over it as it's stuck behind glass. She explained to me...

...It is not very often I have to deal with people who are completely un co-operative and refuse to listen to reason but today Southern Electric went straight to the top of the list. Let me tell you a story. I have a friend who is Swedish but lives in this country and Southern Electric are her suppliers. For several years she had paid £ 40 per month for her electricity with no problems whatsoever. When a friend informed her that it sounded a bit high for a small cottage she contacted Southern Electric who agreed with her and reduced it to £ 30 - which she has continued to pay ever since. Then - disaster struck - after years of estimating bills they finally read the meter and sent her an invoice for over £ 2700. ...As my first review about a beverage I decided I would give my opinions on what is currently my favourite spirit. Southern Comfort is quite literally an intoxicating mix of bourbon whiskey and the pleasant fruity flavour and aromas of oranges. Invented in 1874 by M.W.Heron in New Orleans Southern Comfort received a gold medal at the 1904 World Fair in St.Louis for great taste and quality. On its own Southern Comfort is a pleasant drink to have on ice, chilled down to a cool, easily palatable temperature. Unlike with many spirits the aroma of Southern Comfort as a glass is lifted towards your mouth is very appealling. When taken straight the spirit should not be just "downed" rather it should be sipped and held in the mouth briefly before swallowing.
