Megane 1.5dci Dynamique (80)

Advantages: Economy, reliability, comfort
Disadvantages: small boot

...I've owned a 1.5DCI Dynamique from new (2004) and have covered 63,000 miles. Had a couple of minor things fixed under warranty, door handle paint and steering column knock(?), despite not buying the car from a Main Dealer they honoured warranty repairs. Cheap Road Tax, Car Insurance, comfortable, lots of toys and economical. The only unusual fault was an intermittent STOP / OIL indication, which lasted a day or two - suspected wet electrics when the car was serviced by a non-Renault garage. At the time I was a bit unnerved by the complexity of the electronic systems, 7 units talking hooked up to diagnostics, but it settled down. That was 6,000 miles ago though. Interestingly the stalling of the rear wash wipe (common) is a s/w fault, in my case I didn't bother mentioning this until the STOP light problem, but it could have beenfixed...

Advantages: Fuel Economy, high spec interior, gorgeous

...This is a review of the newest Megane, there is not that much difference in this car and it's predecesor but what changes there are would appear to be big improvements. I had a 1.4 Megane (2003) and loved it so when I got my new model I was really surprised at how much better it was. Exterior - New back light cluster and new shape front lights different grill at the front, more angled new badge at front front fog lights are further apart and housed in a new grill, Renault badge at back Interior- Much nicer styling including new dials white/blue dash lighting soft touch above dials Driving - although my previous car had a smaller petrol engine I cannot believe how much smoother and more nippy this car is, it is a pleasure to drive and the fuel consumption is fantastic already (diesels don't reach optimum consumption...

hyundai accent 1.5 MVI fantastic!!

...this car is fantastic! after searching for months for the car i wanted i fell in love with a hyundai accent 1.5 MVI. its got so many good points! firstly the only way i can describe the drive is fun! a 1.5 MVI dual overhead cam engine in a big small car! its so fun to drive its unbelieveable. change gear at the right times and you'll suprised at the intial accleration from them! not to forget the shorter change gearbox for quicker gear changes and the fun learning to drive round roundabouts, i still havent conquered this one yet! i will warn you though that the indicators and windscreen wiper controls are opposite as the cars from japan, it took me a little while to get used to this much to the amusement of other drivers while i sprayed my windscreen and wiped them to let people out at junctions! another thing is to make sure that...

...When I was looking for a reliable car that was cheap to run and one that I could afford that was also comfortable and good to drive, I opted to buy the Pug 106 1.5 diesel. Having read other reviews of the car, there was no contest: and it has lived up to all the good reviews. My car costs about £40 for a full tank and I can get up to 550 miles to a tank so I was very impressed with this. I have had my car for 18 months or so, and I have done over 40,000 miles which is well above the average (I do approx 26,000 miles a year). In this time I have replaced the radiator, 1 wheel bearing, 1 drive shaft (the other needs doing) brakes (front and back), full exhaust, rear windscreen motor, and a new set of tyres. The Sims 1.5?

Disadvantages: Ugly Sims, 'rabbit hole' community lots, slow AI, poor pathing, feels unfinished, buggy

...on them to go in. As they did, I moved the camera forward to enter the building with them and ? nothing. The whole building disappeared and I was faced with an empty floor plan. I was unable to watch my Sims dine, but a progress bar came up onscreen to show that they were doing so. After the progress bar competed, they emerged from the building, got in the car and went home. I thought it was some bug to do with my computer, but on consulting a Sims discussion forum, discovered that this is actually how it?s been scripted and that forum members were very unhappy with what they referred to as this ?rabbit holing? of the community lots. I was shocked at this, as one of my favourite features of The Sims 2 was watching my Simmies enjoying themselves out on the town. Altogether, this game feels more like ?The Sims 1.5? than a progression...

...Old mans car, I think not. Yes this car did win caravan car of the year for 2007, but value for money is second to none. The Cerato 1.5 CRDI is packed with features, full electric windows which can be operated from the drivers door, electric heated mirrors(very handy) door locking function, window locking function, again both operated from the drivers door. A/C, Power streeing, CD/Mp3 playey with six speakers. Funky little sunglass holder in the roof space. Space: Front space is good for a medium family car, with the multiple seat positions that you can choose there is no real loss of space in the rear. Rear: Again the space is good for a medium family car, head height is something that could be improved but not a major issue. A amajor plus from KIA is that they include ISOFIX points for child seats as standard in all their cars...

Review of Kia Cerato 1.5 CRDi

Olympus sp-570, a great compact camera with slr features.

Advantages: Incredible zoom, macro mode and very easy to use
Disadvantages: No rechargeable batteries and uninspiring LCD screen.

...As I opened the box the first thing that struck me was how small this camera is. Expecting something almost the size of an slr, I was pleasantly surprised. This fits comfortably in my hands and by no means needs the neck strap provided with it. Why did I buy this? Well, the zoom primarily. At 20x optical zoom, giving an equivalent of 26-520mm this was far cheaper than buying lenses to fit my dslr covering this zoom range. The zoom range itself is incredible. Although the sp590 uz boasts a 26x optical zoom, for all intensive purposes the 20x provided by the sp570 is more than enough for the ordinary shooter, or even a would be paparazzi. Performance at the end of the telephoto range (full zoom) wasn't great, but still perfectly usable. Image quality in general is very impressive for a non dslr camera, easily beating any...

GBA SP

Advantages: Comfortable and FUN!

...I've had my Gameboy Advance SP for a few years now and whilst others have replaced theirs with a Nintendo DS, I'm still happy to play mine, although it is becoming increasingly difficult to get any decent games for it without delving into the shady world of ebay trading. I was given the 'Mario Limited Edition' version of the GBASP as a gift. The bottom section (where the button are) is silver and the top (where the screen is) is red. When closed, the red part has a large red 'M' on it to signify Mario, I assume. I was impressed with the way the GBASP looked. It was much better looking than its predecessor, the original GBA, which was wider and did not fold. The screen is large and clear and displays the gameplay very well. The unit as a whole has a sturdy feel and the fact that, at least four years later, mine is still working...

Review of Nintendo Gameboy Advance SP

Good Average Car (1.5 S)

Advantages: Tough, Reliable, Comfortable, excellent composed chassis
Disadvantages: Lively ride, dull steering and ride

...I had an Almera as a company car in which i covered 15,000 miles after owning a Pug 309 GTI. Lets say these are two completely diferent cars. I found the Almera fairly dull to drive, but largely similar in character to a few other models. One model which comes to mind is the last Rover 400/45. Most people will find it easy to drive and get along with. The chassis balance is lovely and the road holding safe and grippy although the damping and spring rates are too soft, which, coupled with the dull steering makes it feel 'soft'. It is comfortable over a long journey, although overly lively on A/B roads even gven the soft suspension. The 1.5 engine I found under powered at low revs and overtaking performance is limited and reserved for higher revs - which most people wont use. This aspect is frustrating - the diesel apparently...
