The best iPod / Phone!
Advantages: unbelivably sexy and beautiful, wonderful internet and video / music
Disadvantages: needs a couple of firmware updates to become the perfect phone
...Given the rather briefness of the other iPhone reviews on Ciao, and given I've actually GOT one, I thought I'd do a proper review prior to the iPhone being launched in the UK.
Some history:
Apple have been making computers since the 1970's and were the first people to launch what we now call a home computer with the Apple II microcomputer in 1977. Since then, they have been at the front of design and innovation, despite having a few failures along the way, such as the Apple Newton in the 1990's. Apple have recently had two turnarounds, the first being the launch of the iMac in 1998 (basically a portable TV size computer with screen, but with funky colours and all in one design) and the other in 2001 when Apple launched the iPod... The rest, as they say, is history!
iPhone history:
During late 2006, rumours were...

iPhone I like
Advantages: Modern technology, amount of software and number of devices.
Disadvantages: No protective case.
...your phone, sound, brightness, wifi, ipd, photos and safari. It will take experience of using the phone to decide what is right for you. There is a good choice of graphic screensavers.
Battery usage is shown, mine reads standby time 1day 12hours and usage 2 hours 41 minutes. Memory used is also shown.
Last of the 13 is the itunes section. You can use this for browsing the itunes store and loading music on to the ipod.
The last 4 icons on the bottom row are for the phone , email, safari and ipod.
The phone is very easy to use. It has 5 controls.
Favourites, Recents, Contacts, keypad and voicemail. All functions are self explanatory, very easy to use from the beginning. When you use the phone another screen comes up with voice/speaker options. The phone lights up with a green "call" icon or red "end call". There is also an icon...

iPhone
Advantages: Great interface. Excellent Music Clarity.
Disadvantages: Limited Official Apps
...iPhone. The greatest device since GSM was first created? Yes and No. I've had the iPhone for just over 4 months and I have mixed feelings over the device. I used ZiPhone to unlock mine from AT&T in the US for use in Ireland.
Out of the box the iPhone is intruative (It has to be as a Manual is not included in the box). The box included a small quick start guide, a headset and the various connectors. Set up with iTune is a breeze even for a newbie.
The Home Screen on the iPhone differs from most WIndows based Smart devices as a simple press closes the running program down. I own a HTC Touch aswell and found it much easier to upgrade and customise than the iPhone. While the iPhone has a huge and diverse 3rd party App community you may have to wait a long time until an App you need comes about. However, once they are released you can...

I phone negetive features
Advantages: It is very nice and quite cool
Disadvantages: not worth for the money
...It is very nice and quite cool but it has got so many negetive features. In my opinion it is not worth spending so much of money for this product. negetive features like
* Very expensive for the current market, if we compare with other phone in market with similar kind of features
* we can't forward SMS's
*it has got extremely weak speaker, comparatively poor signal clarity
* we can't do Bluetooth file transfer
*it will not store or open local HTML, XML, or script files.
*IPhone lacks voice dialing, so you can't use the phone truly hands-free. I think still many will be there since i'm not having it so don't know all them.
But it is very good phone to buy with out any contract, then it is worth other wise I won't spend so much on this phone....

iPhone; Modern day Beauty and the Beast
Advantages: Touch screen, games, web browser, utilites, music, pictures
Disadvantages: Price, can not copy and paste, battery life, camera
...In a nutshell: IT?S A TOUCH SCREEN. No other phone have I ever come across since I laid my hands on has so much capabilities as this beautiful beast. It?s a phone, it?s a music player, it?s a camera, it?s a web browser, it?s everything all mashed together into one beautiful device. However its not cheap and it has many limitations so unfortunately its like my last girlfriend; a imperfect beauty.
When it comes to the iPhone, I never can make the decision over whether I hate it or love it. It?s a beautiful little device with operates on Apple?s OS X operating system. Its all touchscreen so instead of using buttons the phone has icons that appear on the very touch-sensitive screen, and this screen is big, actually its bigger than big its HUGE.
Apple claimed that the iPhone was five years ahead of the competition and when you have a play...

iLove My iPhone!
Advantages: Ease of use, style, fantastic applications, camera, text format, all of it!
Disadvantages: Can't send photo messages and have to pay for extra ringtones
...pleasing bit of kit.
So, lets talk about the product.
Appearance and Form
The iPhone is slim at one centimeter in depth, (>>>) in width and 11 in length. It's available in black or white - personally I opted for the black one. The finish is a shiny smooth surface.
On the face of the phone is one round button, which is the main menu button. This is to be used when you want to do something on your phone, as it basically unlocks it. When you want to lock it you'll need to press the button on the top of the phone, right hand side. These are the main external buttons that you'll use, but there is also a volume button on the side, to turn it up or down.
The microphone and speaker are on the bottom of the phone, they're small but pretty powerful. On the top is the socket for the headphones.
The sim card is also inserted into the top...

All about the iPhone
Advantages: Applications, touch interface, storage, screen size, camera
Disadvantages: Speaker volume
...the home screen. On the top, you will find a headphone jack and a lock/unlock button. Press the button, and your screen will shut off until you press another button. To unlock the iPhone, you press a button and slide the arrow across the screen. On the left side of the iPhone you will find a volume adjusting button and a silence switch. When you slide the switch, you are toggling the ringer on and off. When the switch is in the silenced position, your iPhone will not make any noise at all. On the bottom, you will find two speakers and the place where you plug in your charger, or computer cable. Every iPhone comes with a dock, which you can plug speakers in and charge at the same time.
Overall, the iPhone is a great phone, and I highly recommend anyone to get it....

iPhone - uPhone - wiiPhone
Advantages: Apps are addictive
Disadvantages: MT must provoke a security package
...iPhone - uPhone - wiiPhone
URL - http://www.apple.com/uk/iphone/
Type - Candybar smartphone
Original - iPhone 3G
To make an attempt in registering a knowledge in MT (mobile technology); is similar to sticking your head in a tumble drier and reciting the Greek alphabet backwards. So, I've stuck my hand in the air and admitted defeat; but I can hasten a calculated guess that all digital devices will eventually be compact to one palm sized object that will sit sweetly beside your thumb, feeling like a silicon silk and smells delicious with an accustomed aroma at different levels of eroticism. No I've not stuck my head in the tumbler nor can be bothered to Google the 'Greek Alphabet'. - But it wasn't that long ago when the idea of Smart-Phones was a brain-storm fantasy, to a lot of mobile phone manufacturers they...

Aye it's an iPhone
Advantages: Great gadget
Disadvantages: A bit bulky
...As usual I'm miles behind everyone else when it comes to technology and I've only just entered the world of mobile browsing by buying myself an iPhone. Here are several versions of the phone some with more memory than others but I plumped for the 8 gig version because that's more memory than I need
The iPhone is quite amazing, what differentiates it from other phones are the applications, the sheer amount of applications is phenomenal, you can get an app for just about everything whether it's something as simple as accessing Facebook or googling, to apps for purchasing from Ebay or Amazon. There are also plenty of applications for games and music, or word processors and spreadsheet applications. Lots of the apps need to be paid for, ranging in price from approx 49p to over £5. But many apps are free, in fact this review is being...

The iPhone 3GS is a rare thing; a product that beats the hype!
Advantages: Incredibly easy to use with huge selection of quality dowloadable apps. Almost perfect...
Disadvantages: Battery life it at best acceptable
...A couple of months ago I bought an Apple iPhone 3GS 16Gb. It is my first iPhone, and also my first smart phone. I was tempted by the original iPhone and the iPhone 3G, but was put out by some key feature omissions, notably lack of MMS and voice dialling.
The iPhone is immaculately presented in a surprisingly small, well designed box. The contents comprise the iPhone, wired headphones with microphone, a short USB charging cable and a charger. The chunky instruction manual that seems to come with every other phone on the market is notably absent; there is just a concise quick start leaflet. As always with an Apple product, EVERYTHING is meticulously designed to the same high standard. The charger is very discrete and is no bigger then a standard 13amp plug, the USB cable has incredibly small connectors at either end...
