...Bose SoundDock Digital Music System I happened to get this as a gift and it turned out to be quiet interesting Summary: This dock is used mainly for ipod and allows you to connet mp3 players to it and listen to high quality music via speakers. It is idle for homes and small gatherings, although I would not run a party off these. Pros: This system has terrific sound and can go very load despite its relative small size. As with almost all Bose speakers the quality is amazing, so long as the source you are playing it from is high quality it will allow the speakers to each its potential. I have a surround sound Bose set up in one of my rooms but now prefer to use this product as it is very simple to operate. Just plug the mp3 player in and press play and your set. Good replacement speakers

Advantages: Sound Quality
Disadvantages: Not very sensitive, crossover difficult to fit

...drive them - being on high volumes for not much sound output - this is because the speakers are not that sensitive, needing a decent amount of power to drive them. I would recommend using an amplifier if you have one to drive them. I fiited my MD player and this can handle them (30w RMS per channel), the speakers can handle 90w per channels. Sound quality is very good, almost up to home hifi standards, but suffered from the usual car problems of tweeters being mounted quite a was from bass drivers - this is a car problem not with the speakers. Unusually for car speakers you can tell what source material is used - you can even occasionally hear Minidiscs ATRAC compression in action which is extremely rare for car audio. Frequency range is good - almost as good as my main hifi speakers, for normal music I can see no benefits...

I considered one of the compact ones that fitted an ipod mini, but i have since bought and ipod nano and this would not have fitted. Two little tiny ones, which you can either put on your desk or fix to the monitor.(brackets included) One larger square shaped speaker that has been hiden away under the desk but could also go on the desk. I beleive this one controls base but i am only a girl, with not alot of knowledge of this. It also comes with a funny looking round control, where u can adjust the volume, it also has aux input. This seemed very easy to use. The system is simple to set up if you follow the included owner?s manual. It even tells you where you should put speakers to get the best quality. I was told it cost £190 so not cheap but it was quality stuff....

HOME CINEMA ON A BUDGET? TRY THESE.

Advantages: Small,unobtrusive satellite speakers.
Disadvantages: Not as good as larger speakers.

...I brought my set of tannoys 15 months ago and, at the time,they cost £300.Now,with a little searching around,they can be obtained for under £200. What you get in the box is five satellite speakers(two front,two rear and a centre speaker) plus a seperate powered subwoofer. You also get wall mounted supports for the two front and two rear speakers and all the speaker cables(i changed the cables to 79 stand q.e.d. speaker cable to improve the sound). Setting up the system is relatively easy:you just need an electric drill for the the wall mounted stands and once fitted,you just connect the cables to your home cinema amp. Easy!! Once you have connected everything,it is time to try out the system. My first reaction and i am sure yours will be the same was one of complete disbelief!! Excellent travel system

...Being a first time Mum, I searched around all the high street shops for a functional and attractive travel system. Out of all the prams this one had the easiest folding down system, even tho it was slightly on the heavy side I could fold it down with 1 hand! The carry cot was great for the first 4 months fitting in to the pram snuggly as the seat folded flat (which I found alot of other prams didn't do) The car seat had a base that made it so easy to take the baby in and out of the car (no messing around with seat belts every time!) It is also very well padded, however it didnt come with cushioned protectors on the straps. When we were taking baby home for the first time, the midwife told us it needed them which were only £5 extra to buy. She's in the buggy part now which has three postions and harnesses which is great. Overall fab...
