...I bought a speed Triple in May 2005 -Brand new from my local Triumph dealer (Woods of Abergele ) A dealer which I only have praise for as the service has been excellent The Model i went for was the special edition with an all black frame and wheels - the extras such as the fly screen , belly pan and Radiator cowls all came fitted as standard I have covered 2500 miles so far this year and been to a few rallies / events on it Performance -After the running in period and first service the engine seemed to loosen up a bit (first service the semi synthetic oil gets changed for fully synth .) I have fitted a High level carbon can and had the fuel injection remapped The bike sounds much better than standard with a nice howl from the 3 cylinders the performance is good with plenty of midrange grunt if you liek to pop wheelies this...

T509 Speed Tripple

Advantages: Fun, fast, quality paintwork, unique, handeling

...I have been biking now for over 20 years, since 1976 actualy. That does not mean however I am an old fart who goes for the old style bikes. Far from it I have owned and ridden some really modern sports machines, ZZR1100, YZF100R etc. Unfortunatly my knees gave out first so radical riding positions are not desirable. Also increased police presence was taking the fun out of motorcycling, so time for a complete change. I have just brough a Triumph T509 speed tripple in Roulette Green, or as I have come to know it Snot green. Great colour and great bike, it makes you think you are going faster than you are, and its suits my biking nature. Best described in looks as a thugs bike, meant to be ridden and sod the law. Lukerly you annot remain at high speed for long unless you develope a neck like Arnold. Which is what I needed to slow down...

SPEEDING

Advantages: you "feel" that you are getting to your destination faster
Disadvantages: death, injury, you often dont get there any quicker, people are ignorant about it
