Shiseido which is a Japanese branded skin care product have been around for many years and have a good reputation for their research and development. As a person who tan easily, the Shiseido sun protection cream with its SPF 50 have given me the protection against sun burnt and pigmentation. ...I have to say I'v never written a negative review before but in all honesty I thought that the price I paid for this hand cream was extremely high! The cream is infact non greasy i'l give it that but i found it too heavy to actually feel like it was nourishing my hands. i felt it left my skin sticky, generally i use hand cream on both my hands and feet but felt it was not suitable for either. It is a light lotion as it claims but i felt that it spread to thin and left a sticky residue on my skin. It has a lovely frangrance to it, a bit like talc so smells very clean but comes out of the tube a bit gunkish! Its a sort of grey/white colour, quite thick. I do like the fact that it is of an spf rating of 15! I find it hard to find a hand cream with a decent level of sun protection in it but it also claims an anti-oxident white tea... Read review

...I am an enthusiast of Avon products. As a child I remember hearing that Avon tested cosmetics on animals, but today it is a different story. The advertising states that they do not test their cosmetics on animals, so in theory they should be safe to be used by vegetarians. (Good, as I am a ‘veggie). So when Avon launched Anew RetroActive Face Cream a few months ago (well it must be nearly a year now) I was reluctant to try it, not because of the fear of animal testing, but due to the price, £15.00! ...expensive, it is a good ratio to have as you will run out of both products at around the same time as the face area is a lot smaller than the body area! The packaging is very nice and looks very summery. It comes in an orange box with an orange bottle inside. On the bottle is a white, gold, brown and yellow sun that is very attractive. It would look very nice on any dressing table. The box looks very expensive, but that’s what I expect for paying £12.50 (which is a discounted price on pharmacy2U.co.uk). A major benefit about the face cream that is not included in the body spray is that it is 15 SPF (sun protection factor). Although I recommend that you use an additional sun cream in the summer, for this time of year it is very good at protecting your skin from aging sun rays (what sun rays, its always raining!). ...15 minutes before sun exposure and reapply 15 minutes later and then every couple of hours. It is water resistant but it recommends to reapply after swimming. If you want a factor this high then youd probably be thinking to do this anyway just to be sure. It also says in contains 20 applications for the face but hey, i got one free so thats alot of protection! In my experience, this sun cream is excellent. You apply it and its gone and there is literally zero residue. None of this sticky skin that gets you covered in sand and you're just left feeling greasy. And therefore it doesnt block your pores. You'd swear it was like an oil free moisturiser or something. And i just apply foundation or whatever straight over the top. Its a must for those whose favourite foundation doesnt have spf but dont like the sound of traditional sun creams... Read review
