...Until recently, I'd sworn by L'oreal foundations, and found these to sit well and last the day. However, as is the case with a lot of brands, the shades were always just a touch too light or too dark. I was drawn to Mac because of the range of shades on offer. Perhaps it was just my experience, but I found the lady who served me in-store to be refreshingly blunt. Instead of the usual false air one encounters at cosmetic stands, she was extremely professional, while also flat-out telling me what didn't suit my skin tone, and also which type of foundation I should go for, based on my borderline oily skin. ...I have to say I'v never written a negative review before but in all honesty I thought that the price I paid for this hand cream was extremely high! The cream is infact non greasy i'l give it that but i found it too heavy to actually feel like it was nourishing my hands. i felt it left my skin sticky, generally i use hand cream on both my hands and feet but felt it was not suitable for either. It is a light lotion as it claims but i felt that it spread to thin and left a sticky residue on my skin. It has a lovely frangrance to it, a bit like talc so smells very clean but comes out of the tube a bit gunkish! Its a sort of grey/white colour, quite thick. I do like the fact that it is of an spf rating of 15! I find it hard to find a hand cream with a decent level of sun protection in it but it also claims an anti-oxident white tea... Read review

.... I have found, so use about half what you think you need. Once it goes on your skin it spreads thin and if you apply too much it doesnt sink in right. The correct amount will be absorbed quite quickly. It is a creamy warm white in colour, and it has a sweetish botanical scent, although no frangrance is listed. The product claims it shydrates and soothes skin, which I would agree with. Apparantley the Rosemary in this helps "clear and prevent blemishes", something which Im not a 100% sure about. To be honest, I don't think a moisturiser can help prevent blemishes in the first place, but as I was looking for a lightweight moisturiser with SPF I cant really comment. The other claim is that the lotion contains "oil absorbing powders" to reduce shine. This would be the Kaolin, a fancy name for the clay they use in clay and mud based... Read review

...My face has always been "rosy" and becomes more so with exposure to the elements, which doesn't help because I spend a lot of time outdoors. I started using this moisturizer last summer to soothe my skin before and after a day in the sun. I love that it includes an SPF! Now that it's winter, I love it even more. The cold temperatures and winds usually turn my face red and puffy to the point of stinging, but now when I get in I put on the Correcting Moisturizer to quickly calm my irritated skin. Advantages: Where do I start...convenience of one bottle with SPF's for everyone, great value for money, easy pump-action bottle, refills keep price low / are environmentally friendly, less to carry to the beach!

...This has to be one of the most intelligent, but obvious, innovations ever!!! A sun protection lotion with adjustable SPF settings….why did nobody think of this before? I’ve just been on holiday (yes, had a great time thanks!) and before I went I did my usual Boots/Superdrug raid. ...I spent 6 weeks in California this June and July, so went prepared with lots of sun cream as I'm known to burn easily - especially my face, shoulders, and feet. I chose SPF 50+ from the Boots Soltan range, as it was cheaper than the same SPF in other brands (on BOGOFF at the time) and offered the highest SPF available. I also took Boots Soltan After sun with me, but that's a separate review. ~ - ~ Soltan ~ - ~ Soltan is the Boots own brand sun cream and as such is only available from Boots stores. The sun protection products are in yellow/orange bottles and the after sun range is in a 'cooling' blue color. ...I will come clean up front. I bought my first batch of this because I liked the smell of oranges and knew that I needed to start taking daily sun protection more seriously. I also remember being terrified that a product that looked darker than my normal tinted products was going to turn me into an orange headed monster. Let's face it, the approach to choosing a product here can hardly be called the most scientific. I've always generally struggled with sun-protective products, because many have been quite heavy to wear on the face, or have involved me having to combine different things to moisturise, protect, etc. I have to admit that products seem to have come on quite a bit, but I have tried the alternative approach and gone for untinted SPF moisturisers followed by foundation, but ended up with any colour seeming to slide off my... ...This is factor 50+ but that wasnt in the list of options so ignore the spf 30 i had to put! Since noticing a few dehydration lines around my eyes recently, im becoming more and more concerned about the aging process and preventative measures i can take now! I also care about general sun damage, especially with having fair skin, which is why i have purchased this product and usually stick to self-tan rather than risk burning. As we know, damage is due to exposure to the UV radiation from the sun in the form of UVA and UVB. UVA is what affects the elastin in the skin and leads to wrinkles and skin ageing.
