MAC Select SPF 15 - worth it for the shade!

Advantages: selection of shades; coverage; ease of blending
Disadvantages: awkward pouring; more expensive than average

...Until recently, I'd sworn by L'oreal foundations, and found these to sit well and last the day. However, as is the case with a lot of brands, the shades were always just a touch too light or too dark. I was drawn to Mac because of the range of shades on offer. Perhaps it was just my experience, but I found the lady who served me in-store to be refreshingly blunt. Instead of the usual false air one encounters at cosmetic stands, she was extremely professional, while also flat-out telling me what didn't suit my skin tone, and also which type of foundation I should go for, based on my borderline oily skin. ...I have to say I'v never written a negative review before but in all honesty I thought that the price I paid for this hand cream was extremely high! The cream is infact non greasy i'l give it that but i found it too heavy to actually feel like it was nourishing my hands. i felt it left my skin sticky, generally i use hand cream on both my hands and feet but felt it was not suitable for either. It is a light lotion as it claims but i felt that it spread to thin and left a sticky residue on my skin. It has a lovely frangrance to it, a bit like talc so smells very clean but comes out of the tube a bit gunkish! Its a sort of grey/white colour, quite thick. I do like the fact that it is of an spf rating of 15! I find it hard to find a hand cream with a decent level of sun protection in it but it also claims an anti-oxident white tea...

Lets face it, if I was going to be outside in the sun all day I would apply a seperate 30+ anyway, so 15+ is sufficiant for spending most of my day in an airconditioned office.
