...I purchased this for my son a while ago; I paid just £3 for it from a car boot sale, although I expect it would cost a lot more in the shops. Although it is supposed to be for 5+ I bought it for him when he was 4 as it was so cheap. It was slightly big for him, but I rolled up the legs and arms so that it fit him a bit better. Once home he wanted it on straight away, with all the padding and rolling up it did take a while to get on, and I made sure he wore his clothes underneath for more comfort. He loves wearing his suit, and still wears it now he is 6. He pretends that he's Spiderman, and tries throwing webs loll. He hates taking the suit off and would even wear it to bed if I let him. The suit is very well padded on the chest and the arms, but there is no padding on the legs at all, which I do think would have been better... Read review

...Ouch. I've just got off a Spiderman cram session, and after watching the original film yesterday, this morning I sat down with the sequel. I regard Spiderman 2 every bit as highly as the first film, but what makes it so great? And what stops it from being perfect? Get your replica Spiderman costume you bought off eBay at the ready, because I'm about to reminsce with every Spiderman fanatic, as well as inform those who have never stepped foot in a world of superheroes and villians what they have been missing. Tobey Maguire returns as Peter Parker AKA Spiderman, and the opening credits serve as reminder of what happened back in 2002. Marvel were obviously very careful when bringing their comic book series to the big screen, like they've tried to be with all the films they've recently turned from paper into moving picture... Advantages: Comical scenes as Peter turns into a complete jerk
Disadvantages: Only a few scenes escaped the justice of a 12A certificate

...of the movie that was exclusive to Amazon as it features a sleeve showing the black-suited Spiderman, I'll explain more about that as the review goes on. To my surprise, the cover underneath also featured this depressing scene, and whilst the cover is quite powerful its not as friendly on the eyes as the other covers circuling around the supermarket trolleys at the moment. My general impression was that this would be the last Spiderman movie for a while, I don't know why, and it was probably wrong of me to think this as well as it is wrong for me to describe Spiderman as a 'trilogy' as in truthfulness it has all the makings of being the next James Bond series of movies. Tobey Maguire retains his place for now as the iconic Peter Parker, the man behind the red and blue Spiderman costume. I don't want to say too much of what I have said already... Read review

...films were needed here. The costumes were brilliant. I think the Green Goblin's costume was slightly over the top however, but still worth seeing. The film is worth seeing but with a bit more work could have gained top marks. I hope the shortfalls can be overcome in the sequal. ...SpiderMan, my favourite superhero. I remember reading all the comics and annuals growing up and even had some of the toys …. Marvel had a great idea to start bringing characters from their comics and make them into movies. One of the first was Spiderman. Stan Lee's comic book hero was about to come to life. Sam Raimi the director (Evil Dead) wanted to stick to as much of the comic adaption as he possibly could without changing much of the storyline when Peter Parker became Spiderman. The actors who are involved in this include Tobey Maguire (Peter Parker / Spiderman), Kirsten Dunst (Mary Jane Watson), and William Dafoe (Green Goblin). ...When I first heard they were making the film 'Spider-man' I was so excited. As a long time fan of the comic and the cartoon, I couldn't wait to see my favourite character transferred to the big screen. I was there opening night as I thought I'd rather see it before all the criticism started incase it put me off going to see the film. I was impressed to see that they stuck to the original storyline, which so often gets lost in the glizt and glammour of movie-making, which I think is why it appeals to Spider-man's loyal fans who have followed his adventures from the beginning. So, the story goes: High school 'geek', Peter Parker is often the victim of pranks and is occasionally picked on. Advantages: Great acting and story, Its spiderman, Adrenaline pumping action

..., but that's another story. The greatest cartoon series of them all started in 1994, with Spiderman - The animated series (usually shorted to TAS). Combining computer CGI and great drawings Spiderman really came to life in some mind-blowing animation and top-notch stories. Series one contains the great Alien Costume sagas were we see the birth of Venom, rumoured to be in the next film (HOPEFULLY). A new series was created in 1999 called Spiderman Unlimited where Spiderman is draw into another dimension, but it was removed from the air in favour of Digimon (ARGGGHHHHHH). However the question on all fans lips was, "where was the high budget film?". We have had Superman, Punisher, Blade, The Crow, Supergirl, Batman, XMEN, but where was Spidey.
