...With three girls under the age of five my partner and I and frequent visits from my sister there is a lot of laundry to do in our household. I was doing at least one load a day and as I have no garden to speak of I had to hang the wet clothes around the house on airers or on the radiators to dry. This wasn't so bad when I had the central heating on, but when it was too warm to put the radiators on my washing was taking forever to dry. I was starting to run out of places to hang it up and if I stopped washing while I waited for more space then the mountain of dirty clothes kept growing and growing. ...We bought this machine about 12 months ago, after 3 previous washer dryers had met their maker in just about 1 year each. We had previously had an integrated machine, but they are so much hassle whenever they go wrong, that we decided to dispense with the cosmetic door. We also had small space, a sparse 598mm, so many of the machines simply wouldn't fit. We wash a lot. We have a 6 year old boy, who is definitely into 'dirt' and 7 cats who seem to believe that soft furnishings were designed for muddy paws. Both my husband and I are in the gym at least 4 days a week too. We also tumble dry every load, as we have no where outside to dry it. After our previous experience with washer dryers, which seem to go wrong every 3 months, the main thing we wanted was reliability. We couldn't care about good looks and energy efficiency... ...We were bought this tumble dryer as a moving in gift for our new house, finally having space to put a tumble dryer. We went for the condenser type because there is no need for a vent to the out side, which up here in the north west of Scotland is the last thing you want during a winter gale, believe me! OPERATION.. The controls for the dryer are easy to understand and operate, the timer is settable up to 120 mins and is clearly marked. The heat setting is a 'push in/out' type with two options, low or high. There is a light that comes on when you need to empty the water bottle, but more about that latter on. The instruction book is fairly good, but i didnt pay to much attention to it. INSTALLATION.. Of potentially more serious consequence is the statement that "Items which have been pre-treated with solvent-based cleaning agents e.g. stain removers, must be allowed to dry in the open before washing" to avoid "Risk of Explosion". ...Well I must admit that there isn't much that can be said about a spin dryer! History of why we bought this spin dryer:- We first purchased a spinner about 12 years ago when we got married and didn't have a washing machine. It was invaluable but after a couple of months we got our washer and gave the spinner to my mom. She has hung onto it all this time and it's still running strong. It has had light use but is there for emergencies and as she is in the midst of choosing another washing machine she is using her spinner again. We've had a few washing machines over the years and currently have a Hotpoint First Edition. A basic 800 spin speed which has had about 8 repairs in the last 4 years (luckily my husband, Adam can do the repairs!). ...The T520 VW is a great tumble dryer. It is incredibly easy to use, with only one button and one "clock like" dial. The single button is used to select low or high heat.....and the rotating "clock like" dial to select the time desired for drying. ( Time goes from 0 to 120 mins). It is quiet, and has a reasonably large capacity and also boasts an "anti-tangle"claim. The white plastic fascia near the top of the dryer that houses the button and dial hasn't appeared to have discoloured over time....(unlike our washing machine which we've had for the same amount of time), and with the word "simplicity" embellished next to the creda logo, it really does sum up this item for itself. Simple to use, reasonably modern looking, won't discolour, and would easily fit into anyones kitchen or utility room or anywhere around the house for that matter... Read review

...This hairdryer from Vidal Sassoonn is a life-saver. The last time i used it was yesterday evening when i was going to a friend's party. I had just come out of the shower and was panicking because i only had about an hour to get ready. normally, my hair is a nightmare as it gets frizzy and uncontrollable when it has been washed. I used this hairdryer and my hair was dry and sleek in about 5-10 minutes. Unlike other hairdryers, it does not frizz my hair claiming to give it "volume". This made straightening it a breeze. The dryer has a number of different temperature settings also with a cool shot. This means that it is easy for anyone to sue as it adjusts to your hair type. I would definitely recommend this to people who have to get ready in a rush and teen girls as it is a real life-saver because it makes drying the hair so easy... Read review
