You will love Spirals
Review of Marshalls Pasta Spirals by
lona
Advantages: Great flavour and attractive shape
Disadvantages: none
...I have been a lover of Marshalls pasta products for years.
Marshalls is a Scottish company and has been producing pasta products since 1935 although the company started in the 1880’s producing Semolina and Farola using only the finest durum wheat.
Basically only well known in Scotland in the past, the company’s products can now be found in English supermarkets as well and are fast becoming a leader when it comes to pasta products.
In recent years Marshalls have expanded their products into all forms of pasta which includes………………………..
Tagliatelle
Twists
Lasagne pasta
Macaroni
Spaghetti
And ofcourse Spirals which I am reviewing here today.
I love the shape of Spirals and as the name suggest they look similar to the ending of a corkscrew. That’s the best way I can think of to describe them.
For best...

The Downward Spiral
Review of Downward Spiral, The - Nine Inch Nails by
bubblegum_princess
Advantages: Stunning songs and production; complex and thought provoking
Disadvantages: May offend some
...There can be few bands more deserving of the recognition and critical acclaim that they have recieved from the music press than Nine Inch Nails. Never afraid to experiment with new and innovative ideas, their albums are always impeccably produced and thought provoking. In my opinion, the sign of a great album is whether it challenges you as a listener and whether you can listen to it for the 50th time and still find something new in it. I find that every NIN album I own meets these criteria and I would class them all as musical masterpieces.
NIN is essentially the creation of Trent Reznor, who provides the main vocals as well as writing, arranging and playing most of the instruments on the albums.
Released in 1994, The Downward Spiral still sounds as fresh and has as much impact now as the day it was released. In terms of style...

Seen it? SAW it!!
Review of Saw Trilogy - Saw - Uncut/Saw 2/Saw 3 - Extreme Edition (Box Set) by
babyxdoll
Advantages: reasonably priced, great film, great plots
Disadvantages: not for the faint hearted
...For a girl of my age you may find it quite unusual for me to be reviewing this product as most of you are probably aware that it is very gruesome and gory. Despite this i love all three of the saws and it never fails to bring more blood and gore to the table. I received this as a gift from my dad because he knows how much i love them! I think he may of paid around 20 pound for them but it's well worth it.
-----Saw-----
The first one is set around a blooded up bathroom which has 2 men chained to piping in the bathroom. At the begining it shows you clips of what the murderer (jigsaw) has done to past victims, All of which test you wether or not you should live. The first saw basically shows you the idea behind the murderer and why he does it. he does it to people who don't appreciate what they have people like drug takers self harmers...

The cogs in the kit go round and round!
Review of ELC Spiral Art by
kingfisher111
Advantages: Creates fantastic patterns
Disadvantages: difficult for smallchildren to use
...saw her new Spiral Art and wanted to get going straight away! It wasn't too difficult to follow the instructions and put the frames together. The way it works is that you choose your inner frame first (which can be either circle, oval or a funny shaped squashed oval!) and then you fit the outer frame over this to keep it secure. I was a bit disappointed with this because there is nothing to secure the outer frame in place so it does not take much to move it slightly which has an effect on your spiral. You have to hold it down quite firmly which is quite difficult for an adult but virtually impossible for a four year old child!
If you remember Spirograph you will have a fair idea how Spiral Art works. You have a number of small cogs with serrated edges. These fit into the serrated edges of the inner frame. Each cog has a number...

NO GETTING KINKY IN THE GARDEN
Review of Hoselock Hoselock Spiral Hose Set by
CherryBlossom
Advantages: Easy to move around with and easy to put away
Disadvantages: Unsuitable for a large gardens
...tenner for the sake of the colour? Probably not. Unless I had money to throw about, that is.
If you’re not fussy about the spray gun then £20 for this set is worth paying. £30 is too much, especially if you’re like me and buy an extra gun to use with it.
Cheap spiral hoses have been available for a while now but Hozelock, although far more expensive than the one I saw recently in our local discount shop for £4.99, is undoubtedly of a far superior quality. When it comes to water in the garden, Hozelock know their stuff.
Ours gets pulled over gravel and left out in the sun but has so far shown no signs of deterioration. Admittedly we’ve only had it for six weeks but as my last hose was Hozelock with excellent quality, I don’t see this one being any worse.
~~ CONCLUSION ~~
I can honestly say, with my hand on my heart, that unless...

I Saw Saw
Review of Saw (Wide Screen) by
utero
Advantages: A novel idea, a few grusome scenes
Disadvantages: Poorly executed, resorts to cliches
...Every once in a while a small movie comes along that shakes up the genre. Saw is one of those movies, it generated a little word of mouth in the months before it’s release and was generally portrayed as a good movie with a decent premise.
You could call it the low budget version of Seven as it has a lot of comparisons to Fincher’s classic thriller. Two men awaken to find themselves in an old bathroom, each of them is chained to a pipe in opposite corners of the room. In the middle of the room lies a dead body. Both of the men can’t recall how they got there and both don’t know whom the other one is. Soon they are introduced to the warped mind of a killer known as Jigsaw. He is watching them at all times, each of them are given clues on how to escape but it would mean killing the other man. While this is going on we find out...

Saw IV - Psychological Horror 101
Review of Saw IV DVD by
GoFigure
Advantages: Intricately woven storyline and mind-boggling scenes.
Disadvantages: None - this is horror at its best.
...ninety minutes to overcome a series of demented traps and save an old friend - or face the consequences. Unfortunately for Rigg, the FBI are not convinced that he's actually another of Jigsaw's victims...
Watching 'Saw IV' felt more like a wrap-up to 'Saw III' - which inevitably gave you a glimpse of what to expect in 'Saw V', which is presently in the making. Needless to say that if you haven't watched 'Saw III', then you shouldn't be watching this latest sequel in the 'Saw' series - if you do, chances are you won't understand what's going on.
'Saw IV' was reminiscent of the original movie with its cleverly woven storyline, thought-provoking scenes and twisted ending. Who would have thought that after a totally random 'Saw III' with its lack of a solid storyline, and scenes packed with random gruesome body mutilations, that any...

Trent Reznor is my hero
Review of Downward Spiral, The - Nine Inch Nails by
pieandchips
Advantages: Great industrial music. An album you can listen to all the way through.
Disadvantages: A little heavy for some people. Couple controversial type songs
...I searched through my cd collection, trying to find that one perfect album. I looked at some Smashing Pumpkins, Our Lady Peace, Furnaceface, Hayden, KMFDM, and so on, and so on. But the one cd that I had in mind to begin with just kept sticking out, so I'm going to go with it. Nine Inch Nails masterpiece, The Downward Spiral.
A Little Background...
The Downward Spiral was released in 1994, and was Nine Inch Nails third release, following Pretty Hate Machine and the Broken EP. The Downward Spiral is the cd that brought Nine Inch Nails to the forefront of the Industrial genre, and helped to bring them to a more mainstream audience. I keep saying "them", but in reality, Nine Inch Nails is Trent Reznor and whoever happens to be playing the instruments that week. He's gone through numerous band members over the years, and the only one I...

Suffering? You definetely haven't seen SAW 3 yet!
Review of Saw 3: Extreme Edition (DVD) by
kingchris
Advantages: A fantastic, clever film, great acting!
Disadvantages: A very sick film, overflowing with gore!!!!
...Oh my, Saw 3. What a film. I doubt that no other film has managed to make 3 people faint in different cinemas while it was been screened. It seriously is one of the most sickening things you will ever see! I can stomach most things, but even this was making me flinch and turn away!
Even though it is quite a disgusting film, it is also a brilliant film. It is very clever, and all the actors are simply superb, it is possibly the best acting in a film there ever has been.
So Saw 3. The third film in the Saw series, in case you haven't seen any of the Saw films, here is a short description of the basic idea of the films.
There is a man called John Kramer. He is suffering from cancer, and he feels that people that don't realise how precious life if deserve to find out… the hard way! He creates amazing traps for these people who he...

Ironically Not Much Saw Action.
Review of Saw 2, Darren Lynn Bousman by
katygriff
Advantages: Clever Horror Film.
Disadvantages: None.
...When Saw came out and I saw it at the cinema I was so impressed with it as I thought although it is a horror and has been marketed as a horror, it was actually a very good crime movie. When I heard they were doing a Saw 2 I was interested to see what they would come up with but as soon as I heard that one of the tag lines was 'there will be blood' I thought oh no they are going to make it gorier and lose the clever script of the first film. Well I finally got to watch it the other night after getting it on DVD and this is what I thought. Oh and one thing before you carry on reading, if you have not yet seen the first Saw then I may give away some things in this review so you have been warned.
