My Spirit is Destined to be Read
Review of Spirit & Destiny Magazine by
Coriander
Advantages: A long and entertaining read
Disadvantages: More than a passing esoteric interest needed
...I discovered this magazine quite by accident. Having been bored and looking for something different, it was a case of this one or another on angling. Well I like angling but not the fishy kind (try a different context). So I picked it up, flicked through the pages and with curiosity firmly aroused purchased the mag.
It won’t appeal to everyone but I couldn’t resist taking "Spirit & Destiny" home. It isn’t your usual horoscope magazine but incorporates many sections on everything from aromatherapy oils to celebrity interviews. I found it diverse enough to keep me interested for more than an hour and I am still going back to it for various snippets of information even now.
If you only want to giggle your way through your monthly forecast this would be quite an expensive way to do it. But if your into natural healing...

Destiny's Child got BOOTYLICIOUS with SEXY DADDY!
Review of Survivor [ECD] - Destiny's Child by
DJ_primo
Advantages: I FANCY great tracks like DANGEROUSLY IN LOVE that give me a HAPPY FACE.
Disadvantages: Loads of filler tracks. Beyonce is a NASTY GIRL when she is a producer.
...drums that signal the introduction to Independent Women Part I. The relaxing composition of bass and drums and makes its transition into a lively collection of bass lines and drum claps, moving at a steady pace. These splendid instrumenentals take me out of my relaxation zone into the direction of head-nodding and dancing my upper body away to the music track.
The three Destiny's Child members, especially Beyonce as the frontline singer, show a lot of spirit in their vocal delivery, bringing harmony to my eardrums. Destiny's Child also manipulate their vocals really well to flow with the beats provided for Independent Women Part I.
However, the main drawback of the Independent Women Part I track is Destiny's Child's lyrics focuses on a subject matter that is cliche and uninteresting. The R'n'b singers, mostly Beyonce...

Free your spirit...
Review of Spirit - Leona Lewis by
xdonzx
Advantages: Great songs , Touching lyrics , Great voice
Disadvantages: none!
...great with Leona. The song is quite emotional.
* Take A Bow *
Beginning reminds me slightly of Destiny's Child Survivor. This song has a strong beat. It has some high notes in it that Leona manages to reaches no problem. The song slows down on the third chorus and the beat sounds quieter and then the song speeds up again.
* I will Be *
Starts off with Leona singing along to a piano. Drums come in on the second verse. The third chorus reminds me of a kelly Clarkson song.
* Homeless *
I think this song is similar to Christina Aguilera's "Hurt" due to the piano and orchestral music. You could imagine Leona sitting down by a piano singing this. There is something emotional about this song. It's a simple yet effective tune.
* My Opinion *
I think Spirit is one of the best albums out there at the moment. The album contains...

Destiny fulfilled? Same old same old
Review of Destiny Fulfilled [ECD] - Destiny's Child by
metcaljl
Advantages: Up tempo songs are great dance songs
Disadvantages: Low tempo songs, same old same old
...One of my favourite R&B albums when I was growing up was Destiny's child - writings on the wall. When I first heard 'Lose my breath' on the radio I thought it was cutting edge and fantastic. Every time I hear this song it still makes me want to go out clubbing. The record company definitely made the right decision when choosing to release this song to promote the album.
I went out and bought Destiny Fulfilled, thinking that the rest of the songs on it would be of similar standard to 'Lose my Breath'. However I was very disappointed when I first listened to the album to find that there were only a few up tempo tunes. Most of the album is familiar Destiny’s Child territory and excluding a few songs, the group don’t sound to have progressed since their temporary split.
Some examples of the less exciting songs on the album include...

Destiny Sorta Fulfilled!!!
Review of Destiny Fulfilled [ECD] - Destiny's Child by
simoon69
Advantages: Some fresh tracks some old skool style newies
Disadvantages: Only for REAL fans (download and save ya pennies otherwise)
...So they are back, after going solo and having great levels of sucess Destinys Child reform...
Unfortunately, though Lose My Breath was a brilliant promotional track, its by no means a fair showcase of Destiny Fulfilled. I was SOOOOO hopeful this would be another Survivor or Writings On The Wall and it just wasnt, but its not all bad.
Normally I would review an album track buy track but rather than right dull and uninspiring too many times ie Cater 2U, T-Shirt, Bad Habit and Love, I'll just choose the top tunes. Ones I actually like and ones that do the job!
Lose My Breath - excellent start this follows classics like 'Jumpin Jumpin', 'Survivor' and 'Bootilicious'. A proper dancefloor filler that makes ya wanna move.
Soldier - classic R & B, a good trackbut it lacks the 'instant hit' factor of Destiny's previous singles. Its...

Destiny's Child at their best.
Review of Writing's On The Wall, The - Destiny's Child by
thefatfairy
Advantages: Very few poor tracks.
Disadvantages: Annoying intro.
...As the title of my opinion suggests, I think this is by far the best of all three (four, if you count "This is the Remix") of Destiny's Child's albums. It was released at a time when Beyonce, Kelly, Le Toya and La Tavia were on the edge of monumental success, and contains just the right balance of urban RnB and comerciality to be a real get up and dance and sing along, whilst retaining the cool factor album! Basically, it's great RnB, not as "hard" as their first album, "Destiny's Child" and not as commercially poppy as "Survivor".
When you press play, don't be put off by the annoying intro in which you hear Beyonce and Co. huskily discussing "Destiny's Child's Commandments of Relationships". Yah. Just skip that part and listen to the first song, "So Good" a song penned by Destiny's Child (as are most of the songs on this album...
