...Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron **************************** I'm not a big fan of animated movies, so when my sister bought back a copy of the latest DreamWorks movie a good few years ago now, I was very unimpressed. I initially tried to think of every excuse going, I mean classics like Beauty and the Beast and Lady and the Tramp are fine, but a film about talking horses? Anyway, she talked me into it, and hence my review begins…. The actors….voices ****************** Obviously the actors would look a bit silly thrown into an animated movie so just their voices were used. ...not satisfied. One day, it happened. I was watching a television program. It showed the previews of some new released movie. There is an animated animal story, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. At first, I thought it was Disney' s, so I was not impressed. But, wow, in the preview, there is no talking animal (in human language). Hey, what is this? Then I searched for more information about this movie. This is the first information I got. And it made me happy. So it was right that there is no chattering animal in this movie. Actually, there is a narrator in this movie, plays as the Spirit' s voice. So, it just as Spirit tells his story to us. But in the "picture", there is no animal conversation. That is good. But why did they put human expressions in those animals? Yes, the animals are not chattering, but they communicate with their own language... Read review

...Spirit Messenger I was fortunate enough to go to Stoke Theatre and see Gordon Smith on the 21st April this year. It was really strange, there are quite a few mediums in the public eye at the moment, but I have not felt drawn to any of them like I have with Gordon Smith. After the initial excitement of having a ticket and knowing that I was going to see him 'live', I remembered that my husband had bought me 'Spirit Messenger' for Christmas the previous year. So off I went to my 'Meditation Room' (sounds posh, doesn't it, but in reality it is the box room which was my daughters bedroom and she has now left home). ...Spirits Bay Manuka Honey is not like any other honey I have ever tried. For example, it has a unique taste to it. It is difficult to describe. To say it has an earthy taste to it does not do it justice. For the description would leave a lot to be desired. It tastes like honey used to taste (before they all went high tech and industrial) but there's a little something else, too. Something deliciously herbal about it, I would have to say. ...Although I live in the Midlands and my regional rail operator is Central Trains, I travel on loads of Northern Spirit trains because im in Yorkshire a lot. I find myself using Northern Spirit between Sheffield sometimes and onto Wakefield and Pontefract. For starters what can I say about punctuality? Well on the whole apart from the once when it was 15 mins late, I find them to always leave the station within 3 or 4 minutes of the time they should do although most of the time they are pretty punctual. Right now for the staff, well all I can say is that they have all been friendly and polite and so I have had no problems there. Now for the condition of the trains. Well this is a slight failing point for Northern Spirit. My local operator, Central Trains have invested a fair amount in new trains and now have a decent amount... Read review

...Sorry to rant about trains but there are a few things that need putting right. The standard of Northern Spirit trains is not very high but the service does have good points which I think need pointing out. Over the two years I used the service on a daily basis I noticed the staff were very good with disabled travellers and most of them stop to ask the many mothers who use the service need a hand with pushchairs, etc. I mention it because this is a point that has been picked up in the criticisms of the national rail operators, maybe they should follow Northern Spirits example. Granted, I am one of the lucky people who live next to the 'reasonable' part of the Northern Spirit route.
