BMW 328i Sport Coupe
Review of BMW 328i Coupé by
baaboy
Advantages: Stylish, powerful, fast, reliable, comfortable, great fun to drive.
Disadvantages: Expensive to run, lack of luggage space, poor fuel consumption.
...This is a review of my BMW 328i Sport Coupe (E36).
BMW describe their cars at “the ultimate driving machines” and with the 328 coupe, BMW certainly does not disappoint. With stylish good looks, breathtaking performance and smooth, precise handling, the 328 coupe is a car that brings a smile to your face every time you drive it.
Performance:
With BMW’s legendary, smooth 6-cylinder, 2.8 litre engine and 193bhp, the 328 coupe is a pleasure to drive. For those interested in performance figures, 0-60 is quoted at a little over 6 seconds and top speed is limited to 143mph. But those figures don’t tell the entire story. In the 328, power is delivered in such a smooth way and, whilst acceleration is very quick, you don’t realise how quick you are going until you glance down at the speedometer! But that’s not all - the 328 just keeps...

1999 Phase 2 Megane Coupe 1.6 16V Sports Alize
Review of Renault Megane 1.6 coupé by
alnug
Advantages: Looks, handling, individuality
Disadvantages: space (but you are buying a coupe!)
...The car: MEGANE COUPE 1999 1.6 16V Sports Alize phase 2
I have had the car for 4-5 years now and guess I can judge how well the Megane Coupe has faired for me. Many reviews here don't seem to distinguise whether it is the phase 1 or phase 2 models. Phase 1 models are usually 8V whereas the phase 2 models are 16V and have a slightly different front and back styling.
The picture shown above is of a phase 2 car and is the hatchback version NOT the coupe!
Here I review my car which is the phase 2 Coupe model. In the review I'll talk about ownership and possible problems...including those which I have had :-)
THE LOOKS
I have owned the car for about 5 years now and still find driving it a joy, the individuallity, the styling and those double optic headlamps really do something for me! I have not seen a car, since the 5...

2000 Coupe 1.6 sport alize
Review of Renault Megane 1.6 coupé by
moley1a
Advantages: purchase price, drivability, looks
Disadvantages: too soon to tell
...is activated from the remote locking key.
Enough said
Driving
Not quite as chuckable as the MGF, but it feels secure on the road. The 1.6 has a good 110bhp (check the engine you are going to buy as there are a few different varients out there) and sporty enough.
Gives good milage - a tank cost £35 and I can get nearly 400miles.
Bit of roadnoise on the Motorway but not to intrusive.
Comfortable driving position with hight adjust on the drivers seat, elec heated mirrors, sterio controls next to the wiper stalk.
Suspension soaks up all but the really bad bumps which is the trade between sports and comfort, however Renault have met the fine balance well.
I knew coming from the MGF to a more sensible car was going to be a bit of a dissapointment driving wise, but having been in the Megane Coupe for only a couple of weeks, I have to admit I am...

2000 W Renault Megane Coupe - Sport Alize
Review of Renault Megane 1.6 coupé by
howardthemighty
Advantages: Great engine, good looks, high spec, reliable
Disadvantages: lacklustre handling, harsh ride, bland interior
...I bought my W-reg Renault Megane Coupe 1.6 Sport Alize January 2007. I paid nearly £3000 for this car including the value of my old Citroen AX which I part-exchanged in as part of the deal. I had been looking for this model for some time and was relieved to finally purchase one from a local garage. I bought it with 86000 miles on the clock. It now has 99000.
STYLING - Initially one the main reasons I started looking for the coupe variant of the megane was the styling. Although it is starting to show its age now compared to newer models on the market, the car is still an attractive shape. My model is bright red with the standard 15" alloy wheels and overall the car looks sporty and squat. Inside unfortunately the styling flair is not continued inside, and the fact that this car is based on the megane hatch becomes apparent. Dull grey...

Honda Civic Coupe real review
Review of Honda Civic coupé by
tomsmith500
Advantages: Large boot, handles well
Disadvantages: Expensive insurance, expensive running costs, expensive parts and servicing and awful fuel economy
...is around 35mpg. Best I ever got was 38mpg and the worst was 32mpg. Tank range is around 250 miles, dropping to around 200 if you have a lead foot. If you drive carefully and allow it to drop right into the red you might get around 300 miles. Never managed 350 though.
The large boot does allow you to carry lots of shopping. 3 people can fit comfortably on the back seat. It's a roomy car.
As far as reliability goes I can't fault Honda engineering. My car is 10 years old and all that has been really changed is the timing belt, the CV joints, an exhaust tailpipe and a battery. Good thing as Honda parts really cost.
Now the bad bits:
Group 14 insurance seems incredibly high considering this car's abilities. An MR2 sports car is only group 15 so why is this slow, family coupe group 14? Seems ludicrous.
Fuel economy is very lacklustre...

Renault Megane Coupe 2001 Reg
Review of Renault Megane 1.6 coupé by
CJLeeds
Advantages: Looks, Comfort
Disadvantages: Relability, Handling, Space
...Thank god I'v finally got rid of this car.I owned a 2001 1.6 Sport Alize Coupe and had nothing but problems with it. Firstly the coil packs went which is a common problem on all renaults. It needed both drive shafts replacing after only 40,000 miles. Needed a new gearbox after 46,000. Near side suspension collapsed whilst taking a roundabout nearly causing a very serious accident. When this car worked it was a fairly good car. Ride was comfortable, engine was nippy but by no means fast and fuel consumption used to be around 40 - 45 mpg. But this car has put me off Renaults for life. It has absolutely no space in the rear seats or boot. And before anyone says but its a coupe I now own a Rover 220 Turbo Coupe and this has acres more space in the back and boot and is alot more reliable! The car was quite a good looking machine but doesn...

Rover 216 Coupe -94
Review of Rover 200 coupé by
dpwilkie
Advantages: Reliable, Sublime handling
Disadvantages: Minor Quality Niggles
...I currently own a 216 Coupe, and have been so impressed with the car that I felt I owed it a decent review. This is my first review so be gentle!
OVERVIEW
My car is a 1994 216 which means it is equipped with the Honda D16 single cam engine rather than the later models twin-cam K-Series. It's well equipped for the money, and has proved to be utterly bulletproof so far with the 4000 miles I've put on it in the last 2 months.
IMAGE
The 200 coupe was fortunate amongst the somewhat staid Rover 200 line as it is a handsome car that wears its years well. At the end of the day though, it is still a Rover whos design is over 15 years old, so if image is important to you, it might not be the car for you.
PERFORMANCE
As I mentioned, this is the Honda 1.6 version of the car with the single cam engine, however I also own a twin cam K...

Nissan Sunny GSX Sports Coupe
Review of Nissan Sunny by
NISSANINPOSSIBLE
Advantages: Hyper Drive Power
Disadvantages: None
...I am a collector of rare retro japaneese sports cars & my most best has too be the "Nissan Sunny GSX Sports Coupe"
The engine fitted too this vehicle is a 1600cc single overhead cam chain driven block, powered by a Hitachi twin choke carburettor.
The style of engine,is much more better than the standard Sunny Coupe, which is fitted with a rubber cambelt & if not checked regular, often snaps & leads to much serious damage.
The 2 engines in question,do look alike here, but the rubber cambelt model, has a black shield casing, mounted too the right hand side of the engine block.
The engine of course is front wheel drive on all of these model Nissans.
I have had a earlier standard Nissan Sunny Coupe, about 4 years ago now, which really started the so called ball rolling on these kind of vehicles, but due too the previous owners not caring outlook...

My Hyundai Coupe FX 1.6
Review of Hyundai coupé 2.0 FX by
AussiePhoenix
Advantages: Looks, Sportyness, Handling, Acceleration
Disadvantages: Hard Ride at times, bad Paint in some cases
...Before I start, I just want to make it clear that this is MY opinion, and opinions will always vary.
This car is a head-turner... its rebellious curves don't appeal to everyone, but it is a car that stands out.
I used to believe that Hyundai made under-Par cars... well, maybe that is a thing of the past, as I am trully amazed by this car, and believe I have made a good Buy.
The Attention to detail in making this model was really good, and I believe Hyundai spared no expense to make theirs a very well equiped and afordable sports coupe.
The Well designed, confortable and spacious(for a coupe) full-leather interior, is a contrast to what lurks beneath the body.
The Handling is one of this car's strengths... MacPhearsons and 15" Ventilated Disk-Brakes in the front and Double Wishbones and 14" Disk-Brakes at the Back, and some...

2004 Audi TT Coupe 180 FWD
Review of Audi TT Coupé by
bermudaviper
Advantages: Great Design, Great Interior, Best petrol cap on a car ever!
Disadvantages: Possibly too common now, Price, Target for Vandalism and theft
...After lusting after an Audi TT for the best part of two years, I found myself in the local dealership placing an order, one Saturday afternoon.
The reason for my latest impulse purchase was the announcement of the (then) new 180FWD (Front wheel drive) coupe, which was quite a bit cheaper than it's heavier and slower 4WD (Quattro) counterpart. This release had finally brought the TT into my price range, at a shade over £21K (before options) it's not what I'd call a cheap car and after adding 18" wheels, BOSE sound system, 6CD Multichanger, and pearlescent paint I was looking at the best part of £24K. Ouch, I thought!
Due to the car only being released that week, I was told by the dealer that the car would be factory order only, and that I'd be looking at around 3 months before delivery. 3 months passed and the car was still...
