Be Bronze with Avon Self-tan Spray
Review of Avon Bronze Self Tanning Lotion Spray by
beatlesgal25
Advantages: Reasonable price
Disadvantages: Instructions aren't too clear
......
~~~ The Packaging ~~~
The self tan spray comes in a brown (almost bronze!) 150ml bottle. The bottle is a nice, slightly curvy shape, but it is not the easiest bottle to hold. On the front, 'AVON' is written in gold letters, and below is the slogan 'be Bronze'. Below that in brown is the information: 'Self Tanning Lotion Spray - Light/Medium' and then the same again in two other languages. Although this says Light/Medium, I haven't actually seen this in Medium/Dark shades - this doesn't really matter to me as I don't want to go too dark anyway, but some people do! Quite an attractive bottle for the summer!
~~~ Application ~~~
Application instructions are on the back of the bottle. I don't know whether it's just me, but Avon instructions always seem to be very vague - either that or they just don't print any instructions at all! Anyway...

sss spray-on moisturising body lotion
Review of Avon Dry Oil Spray by
zorena
Advantages: great, smooth, shiney results - - the girls best friend for perfect legs
Disadvantages: none
...I have always loved skin-so-soft products from avon. They have, over the years brought out some marvelous new products.
They now offer the skin so soft products in a range of fragrences, these include the following
Woodland Fresh, Soft & Sensual, Light & Lush, Sensitive and Fresh & Clean antibacterial.
All these sss fragrances have there own set of unique products, specificly made for that range of sss products. The best one out the lot I have found is the spray Moisturising Dry Oil Body Spray for the Soft & Sensual range. It comes in a 150ml bottle and is reasonably priced at £4.49.
This product is easily absorbed, with no greasy after feel. It contain's the ingredient's Aqua, Octyl palmitate, Glycerin, Methylparaben and much more! It will leave your skin soft, smooth, and sensual! I do however recommend all the great...

Boots Soltan Sun Care Lotion - SPF50+
Review of Boots Soltan Suncare Lotion by
liz1102
Advantages: High protection and mostly reliable
Disadvantages: Sometimes hard to get just the right amount
...I spent 6 weeks in California this June and July, so went prepared with lots of sun cream as I'm known to burn easily - especially my face, shoulders, and feet. I chose SPF 50+ from the Boots Soltan range, as it was cheaper than the same SPF in other brands (on BOGOFF at the time) and offered the highest SPF available. I also took Boots Soltan After sun with me, but that's a separate review.
~ - ~ Soltan ~ - ~
Soltan is the Boots own brand sun cream and as such is only available from Boots stores. The sun protection products are in yellow/orange bottles and the after sun range is in a 'cooling' blue color. There are both Lotions and Sprays available, and also several variations of the basic sun cream - kids, baby, wasp and insect repellent, extra tanning, and some others. I used the original kind.
The lotion comes in 200ml...

Boots "12 hour" Aftersun lotion
Review of Boots Soltan After Sun Lotion with Insect Repellent by
liz1102
Advantages: Much less peeling, smells okay, absorbs quicky
Disadvantages: just smells like aftersun, bottle gets messy
...available from Boots stores. The sun cream products are in yellow/orange bottles and the after sun range is in a 'cooling' blue color. There are both Lotions and Sprays available, and there are several variations of Aftersun - insect repellent, tan maximiser, kids, baby, aloe vera and some others. I have the original kind.
The lotion comes in 200ml and 400ml bottles and, during the summer, most of the range is on Buy One Get One Free offers. I paid £3.97 for my 200ml bottle (well, for two of them because of the offer). 400ml bottles are £6.99 and were also included in the offer. (My store didn't have any of the larger bottles or I would have gotten these instead.)
~ - ~ Use and Effectiveness ~ - ~
This Aftersun does exactly what it claims - it 'cools and soothes skin'. It claims to work for 12hours but on the most extreme sunburn I...

Spraying is the only way!
Review of Nivea Sun Spray by
Traceyfj12
Advantages: Clean and easy to use
Disadvantages: a little pricey but aren't they all?!?
...I am unfortunately one of these people that can be allergic to things like sun tan lotion and after sun creams and after trying a few (expensive but necessary!) I found Nivea Sun Spray. I tried this one and liked it immediately. It sprayed a nice even cooling spray of lotion onto your skin. Then, all you have to do is spread it about a bit and thats it. The nice thing about the Nivea Sun spray is that there are knobbly bits on the sides of the bottle so when your hands are a bit greasy and you are trying to spray the lotion, the bottle doesn't slip out of your hands. The lotion is a little on the expensive side (approx £7 - £8) but it does last well and what price do you put on you keeping your skin?!?
I then also moved to using Nivea after sun too once I had found that I wasn't allergic to Nivea. The lotion isn't too greasy...
