Wax On - Wax Off
Review of House Of Wax DVD by
utero
Advantages: Paris Hilton get;s bumped off
Disadvantages: Nothing new, No scares, Another lame Dark Castle film
...a nice transfer and audio mix. The film has a nice colour scheme and some decent visuals at times. These are all pretty pristine on DVD. I cranked up the Dolby Digital 5.1 soundmix and got some great surround sound experiences. There's a good amount of bass, the music is well mixed and John Ottman doing the score is never a bad thing.
Extras wise there's some decent fare. For 26-minutes you can have some of the cast talk on a sofa as they watch b-roll footage of various scenes being shot. All the while I was wondering what Elisha Cuthbert had in the mug she cradles during the whole thing.
7-minutes are spent on how the house and look of the film was designed. It's the usual fare with guys hammering up drywall, wax being sprayed etc.
10-minutes are spent fawning over the waxworks in the movie. It's also here that the producers try...

Lee Stafford Messed Up Light Wax Spray
Review of Lee Stafford Hair Styling Products by
Jellycat
Advantages: Easy to use, light, great for both curly and straight hair
Disadvantages: Bit expensive, doesn't last overly long on straight hair
...I heard about this product whilst searching for an alternative to the discontinued John Frieda Beach Blonde Ocean Waves. A statement on the John Frieda website said that they had brought out a new product to replace it (why they couldn't just start manufacturing it again is beyond me!), which was a spray wax.
Having searched around on the Boots website, I've found that this isn't available in the UK, but a search for spray wax turned up the Lee Stafford product. I have to admit that I've always been tempted to try his products (mainly due to the funky packaging, shallow I know) but as they are quite pricey, couldn't justify when I could get similar products cheaper.
However, as this was the only spray wax I could find, I thought I'd give it a try. I bought it from the Boots, for £4.49 which I think is the average retail price...

Wax away? I think not!
Review of Boots Waxing Strips by
coolcam7
Advantages: no residue left behind
Disadvantages: don't work, hurt, not reusable, all-round waste of money
...I’ve always been a shaver myself. I have used hair removal creams/ sprays/ foams etc. but after a string of fail attempts I always returned to the quick, cheap and easy method of shaving.
I decided to try waxing because I basically got fed up with the hassle of shaving. I decided that I would pluck up the courage to try my hand at waxing.
I probably should have gone to a salon since I had never been waxed before but instead I went out on a whim, to my local Boots store and scoured the shelves for something a little cheaper that I could try in the privacy of my own home.
I wanted something that could be used quickly with a minimum mess factor. I had read somewhere that wax strips were the answer to people looking for the results I wanted; long-term hair removal that was quick and mess-free to carry out.
After reading various...

Snap, Crackle and Stick
Review of Alberto Vo5 Crackling Wax Spray by
chattell
Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Sticky & Tacky
...Alberto is a well-known brand to all, within the hair and beauty range, which began in 1955, which was bought from a man named Culver, who owned a chemist named Alberto, hence the now know name Alberto-Culver, and opened in Chicago, and continue strong to this day.
I'm not an all-out fan of the products, but am always ready to try something new and/or different, and noticed this crackling wax spray in Sainsbury's a few weeks before xmas, it was on a end aisle display with many reduced priced products.
At the time my hair was shorter and I was trying out the finger look hairspray, you know spray or rub something into your hair and use your fingers to create the style that you want.
I'd never seen this before, and thought ahead to the various social gatherings that lie ahead before xmas, and thought for 99p I'd give it a whirl...

tigi
Review of TIGI Headbanger Wax Spray by
jo_field26
Advantages: wax is great
Disadvantages: nozzle cloggs
...Another great product from the Tigi Bed Head ranges and once again it is a product that has not let me down. The Bed Head range is one of the best priced decent ranges that are around, There are a lot of similar products that are cheaper, but in my opinion they are not as good, so it depends if you want quality or quantity.
Tigi Bed Head Headbanger is a great fruity scented wax that will give hair a great layered and texture look for a great hairstyle with a difference in the format of a spray.
For the best use spray directly into the roots to help to thicken the hair or for the best results and what i use it for is to spray over my entire head of hair and they move and style the hair into position where Headbanger holds it into place once it has started to set. This is great as it has firm hold but does not make you hair go hard...

How to use hot candle wax in a sex or BDSM scene.
Review of Member Advice on Waxing by
student9824
Advantages: Can be lots of fun!!!
Disadvantages: If not done safely, with the right candles, a trip to hospital could be in order.
...WARNING. This opinion is NOT about waxing your legs. It IS about DROPPING HOT WAX ONTO YOUR PARTNER’S BODY as part of SEX/BDSM play. Therefore this opinion is NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED OR THOSE UNDER 16.
Now the warning is over I will stop the annoying use of capitals for attention grabbing.
UPDATE: I have added a section near the end on where you can buy candles which have been tested for wax play incase this op sparks you interest!
Introduction
~~~~~~
The fear of ‘wax play’ (i.e. dropping hot wax onto your partner’s body) can be as important as the actual sensation of the hot wax in making the experience enjoyable. However as with all BDSM play, real world fear is not enjoyable. My aim in writing this opinion is to help you make up your own mind whether wax play is for you and if it is then how...
Wax on .... Wax off
Review of Member Advice on Waxing by
Cheekychicken
Advantages: Oh read the bloomin' opinion
Disadvantages: PAIN, ingrowing hairs
...I always promised Trampus I would write an opinion on waxing, when I originally wrote this she was taking a break from Ciao, so she missed it, tut! As she is now back I have updated it especially, Sarah this one if for you honey....
Right, let's get started then. First rule of waxing, don't try it yourself. Yes, you may have just read about the most wonderful product, how the wax rolls on easily and smoothly, but don't be fooled. Waxing isn't easy at all, that's why they have professionals that do it.
If you try it at home you will end up looking like a hairy toffee apple, unable to remove the wax or hairs properly and your legs stuck to your knickers for the day. Find yourself a decent beautician, by word of mouth preferably and let them do the work for you.
I have a girl who comes to my house, Claire. She has been with me...
Wax A Way Advanced Wax Strips - smooth operator!
Review of Wax A Way Mini Wax Strips by
Moneypenny
Advantages: Easy to use, removes hairs easily, residue washes off with water.
Disadvantages: Smaller waxing strips than other brands.
...For the past 2 years I'd been using waxing strips that I'd bought abroad. They were excellent so I stocked up on them before I came back to the UK. Sadly, I ran out of these about a year ago. This is when my search for new waxing strips began...
Why did I buy them...?
I'd seen Wax A Way strips in shops before but always tended to go for other brands which had more strips per pack but these often left me looking like a patchy gorilla! After giving these Wax A Way waxing strips a go, I thought it only fair to share the news... they actually work! (Be gone patchy gorilla!)
How do you use them...?
Like most other waxing strips, these are very easy to use. The strips are two very thin sheets of plastic sandwiched together by a thin coat of wax. You warm the wax up by holding the strip between your hands and then you peel the plastic...
