Edward the Armless Dishwasher
Review of Bosch SPS 2024 by
clanmac4
Advantages: This takes the chore away and lets you get on with better things. The washer is dependable, we have used it for 1 year and can find no fault.
Disadvantages: There will be in increase in Electricity usage, best use it once a day if you can.
...composure.
~~ The Ideal
Dishwashing in this fast, unwieldy world that we live in today is just unnecessary. If you live busy lives get one, now, tomorrow. Why the urgency? Let me inform, divulge, enlighten. A dishwasher, specifically the Bosch SPS 2024 does this for you, wait for it, wait for it, “IT WASHES DISHES”, so you don’t have to. I mean can you think of a better reason?
~~ What the Dishwashing thingy does.
This model has 3 settings: a. Pre-rinse, for really minging dishes, b. Super, for really obscene pots and pans and c. Normal for everything not as minging as a and b. A wash cycle, dependant on which option you select will take between 40 - 60 minutes. The Bosch is very reliable, we have used it for over a year now and the machines filter system has worked its butt off, therefore I can report no wastepipe...

Fun for 'spiders' everywhere.
Review of spidermetrix.com by
debdebs
Advantages: Have fun while earning points to exchange for cash, vouchers, gifts, or donations to charity.
Disadvantages: Haven't found any!
...of 'spiderpoints', (here on known as SP’s). Typically; surveys, quickies, trials, tests and questionnaires are worth from 1 to 10 SP’s, and Full Website Ratings’ are worth 20 SP’s. They even start you off by giving you SP’s for completing your profile on sign-up.
The purpose of these SP’s is two-fold; Firstly, the more SP’s you earn, the higher-ranking ‘spider’ you become. (Higher-ranking spiders receive more SP’s per survey completed, than the lower-ranking ones).
Secondly, your SP’s can be redeemed for one (or more) of the rewards available.
...and the bit you've all been waiting for...
>>>Payments<<<
Once you have accumulated your hard-earned SP’s, you can exchange them for the reward or rewards of your choice. The rewards are divided into three categories; Gifts, Vouchers and Cash.
GIFTS These vary in amount of SP’s required...

Excellent course
Review of Social & Political Sciences by
urigubu
Advantages: Great course, teaching and resources
Disadvantages: Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology and Politics all a requirement in 1st year
...Ignore the older reviews; the SPS department has grown and matured rapidly over the last few years into one of the UK's best. The SPS degree draws on lecturers and courses from many other departments and centers (like History, Anthropology, International studies, etc.) from around the university. The lectures are interesting, the course options varied, the resources excellent. It's one of Cam's most interesting and selective courses. The course ranges from light to very heavy, depending on your approach and course choice.
The politics route within SPS is very historically/theoretically oriented - which is both a strength (Cam is world renowned for its political historians and theorists) and a weakness (if you're more interested in empirical and contemorary politics). .
Sociology within SPS is a good mix of theory and empricial...

Onestopphoneshop - never again
Review of Buyer Beware! (urgent warnings about products/services to avoid at all costs) by
daydster
Advantages: Can't think of any
Disadvantages: Lousy service unfulfilled promises non existent customer care
...A little story concerning my son and his latest mobile phone aquisition.
Mesmerised by the vast range of companies offering mobiles in the National press, young Jon was strangely attracted to the Onestopphoneshop (hereinafter 1sps) ad in the Daily Mirror, last December.
After careful consideration he chose a Sony J70 phone on an Orange business tariff costing circa £30 per month, and the order was placed. 1sps advertised free next day delivery (it arrived just under a week later), free accessories (still waiting for in car charger/hands free kit and car holder)and £80 cash back as 2x£40 cheques at 2 monthly intervals(only 1 received).
There is a freefone order line but (yes you've guessed it..) after sales customer service is a charged call. I have taken up the matter for Jon and in 6 months I have written twice, phoned 7 times...

HD-270
Review of Sennheiser HD270 by
wstockuk
Advantages: Plenty of bass, very comfortable, go very loud
Disadvantages: Hard to power
...Sennheiser headphones rarely disappoint- it's usually a case of choosing how much you can afford and buying the ones that match that price. The 270s are priced just below the 25SPs, the DJs friend.
Just like the 25SPs, if wired up to a decent amp/mixer, they will go very loud before distorting. I have yet to find their limits before concerns for my future hearing have set in.
However, they are hard to drive. Plug them into your walkman/MD player/iPod and, in addition to looking a prat, you will be hard-pressed to drown-out loud background noise (say inside an airliner). This is not to discredit the closed-back design which generally attenuates the real world very well. DJs will not have a problem mixing at club sound levels.
The long-term listener will also be grateful for the full-cup design that fully envelops the ear, rather than...
