Advantages: Easy to use, A nice selection of software Disadvantages: Heavy and Bulky, sometimes stops for a second or two, poor battery life
...I picked up this phone for £15 off EBay, which is quite a good price for a phone of this age and technical spec. The SPV (Sound, Picture, and Video) is manufactured by Orange and features the Microsoft Smartphone 2002 Operating System, meaning it's packed with the features you'd expect from a Microsoft operating system.
The Phone's features aren't all impressive now, yet aren't too bad for the price range you're looking at for this phone. They Include:
GPRS - connection to the internet via the GPRS technology allows you to download web pages and content at a reasonable speed.
177 x 200 Screen Res - Big enough to see pictures and displayed content clearly.
Videos and Music - You can easily use the SPV as a video player or an MP3 player to listen to your music (I'll cover this a bit more later)
SD Card Support - You can store as...

Review of Orange SPV
Advantages: Screen size is big Disadvantages: Very slow & Battery life
...The reason to why I went for this phone was due to me getting a phone on my partners account, one bill instead of two made sense. I wanted a phone with a camera, and Orange suggested I went for the SPV 100 and it would be free, now that was a good offer to me, so we took it.
**WHAT YOU GET**
1) A charger with different adapter's for use without the cradle and to use in other countries like the 2 pin plug.
2) A Desktop cradle for use with PC for updates
3) Sound Cards which is only 8 MB which doesn't do much, you will need to upgrade it.
4) A CD which has Active Sync software.
5) A Leather case quite thick so if you do drop your phone it won't get hurt.
6) A Camera which you plug into the bottom of the phone like you would do with the charger.
7) A Hands free, which can be used for headphones to use with the media...

Review of Orange SPV
Advantages: Excellent Introduction to PDA's - if you've not had one before. Disadvantages: Poor battery Life
...I've just upgraded to the SPV M600 - it's the first non Nokia phone I've had and it was something of a struggle to get my head around all of the features and to get used to the somewhat different way of doing things. I won't try to list all of the features- if you've had plenty of features on your phone before, suffice to say it's got most of them, although I was disconcerted at first to find no radio, stopwatch, countdown timer etc, which I had found very useful on my old phone. However, this is where the different way of doing things comes in - many features are available for purchase as extra programmes to be run via the pocket PC software, which forms the basic operating system for the PDA function of the phone. Alternatively, you can download and install Java Midlets - if you can find one that works.... To be fair, this model is...

Review of Orange SPV
Advantages: Good size with clear screen making it easy to use Disadvantages: Not enough memory for mp3 player i find i can only store up to six tracks on phone from my pc
...I have owned my SPV mobile phone for around 2 weeks now and it is by far the best mobile i have owned. It is a good size considering what it can do and is very easy to use.
If you are looking for a mobile where you can take good quality photos and videos look no further. For £160 this phone is money well spent as it has many features,
It is the first phone to have Windows built in, allowing you to access any website on internet explorer or you can receive your e-mails as msn messenger is built on to the phone too. As the phone has windows capabilities the mp3 player on the phone is windows media player 9.
Windows media player is the only real problem with the SPV as the phone only has enough memory to hold six tracks from my PC. To increase memory you have to invest in bigger memory card that can cost around £20.
When you...

Review of SPV C500
Advantages: Querty Keyboard, Easy Navigation Disadvantages: Sluggish, has a habit to freeze, poor Camera
...Having given up my Nokia N95 for the SPV E650 I was hopeful for the phone. When it arrived I unpacked it in anticipation and straight away I was disappointed with the way the phone looked and felt.
The looks are quite basic and were not impressive in the slightest. The phone is a lot heavier than other phones I have had but that is possibly to compensate the querty keyboard that slides out from underneath.
The keyboard is small and with me having quite big fingers, I found myself pressing a few buttons rather than just the one. In my opinion the keyboard is pointless as you can do most things you would use the keyboard for on the keypad. for example if you were replying to a text message using the keyboard you open it up and then have to wait for the screen to turn round before you can start typing.
I found that the keyboard was...

Review of Orange SPV E650
Advantages: very flexible Disadvantages: a bit complicated to use
...I've bought this cellphone almost two years ago, and still I can say about it's working excelent. It has a large display, after two years no dead pixels, the keyboard works perfectly, I had only one problem with it, and I heard that most of the spv c600 have it: after a few months the joystick begins working a bit harder. The solution for this bug is: wd-40, you just have to spray under the joystick and it will work imediatly.
Now, regarding it's design, I only regret the fact that it isn't available in black like it's older brother SPV C500, but the two actual colors match perfectly together: dark gray( the main housing) and silver (the keyboard and the margin around the display).
It has a 1.3 Megapixel camera, I can't say it's great, but still not very bad. It's like an usual cellphone camera, you can't expect from it to be able...

Review of Orange SPV C600
...Well, I'd hate to sum up the review in the title section, but it does serve well as an indication of what I would like to say about this phone.
Firstly it does everything under the sun. It lies somewhere between a PDA and mobile phone, with (maybe unfortunately) the emphasis higher on the PDA functions. To be brief in the disection of it's features (which you can peruse at length on the Orange website...) the SPV incorporates:
A camera
built in MP3
64,000 colour display
internet instant messaging
speakerphone
pocket internet explorer
windows media player
triband
wap
gprs
infra-red
vibrating alert
email client
voice memo
predictive text
downloadable games
SD (secure digital) memory cards
Well, there you are! But a list of features gets you no closer to discovering if...

Review of Orange SPV
Advantages: Email, camera, music player, wireless Disadvantages: Takes ages to boot, sometimes very buggy, poor email integration.
...I got this phone a few months ago, and having been a regular SPV user, i was thinking that going for a more PDA based device would be a logical step forward, especially with the let down of the SPV C600.
I got a free upgrade for this phone, so straight off, I guess you could say it was good value for money. However i was forced into an 18 month contract, this was mostly due to the tariff i chose more than the phone i think.
The phone itself is a nice size, not too bulky, but small enough for a jacket pocket or even a decent sized pocket in a pair of jeans, it comes supplied with all sorts of goodies int he box, handsfree, proper 3,5" headphone adapter, a 512meg SD card, spaer stylii and a belt-clip case. Good start i thought.
Upon booting the phone for the first time, i had no troubles with getting it to sync with my Outlook...

Review of Orange SPV M600
Advantages: Massive Screen, Lotsof Applications Disadvantages: Small Keypad,Battery Life,Scratches Easily
...I bought an SPV about 3 months ago from E-Bay so I have had plenty of time to get aquainted with it. Just Like any mobile phone the SPV has it's faults.
One of the first things you notice about the SPV is that it runs a Microsft OS(Operating System), This is a great thing because there are by far no shortage of applicatons and games available for the SPV. Many websites offer lots of things that are freeware of shareware(both free).
I have to admit the phone is quite thick but there is a good side it feels as robust as a nokia, I have dropped it a couple of times and nothing has happened,it has not powered off nor have craks appered in the non - replaceable casing.
As standered from Orange the phone comes with the following:
1)Horizonal Carry Case
2)Mains Charger
3...

Review of Orange SPV
Advantages: Large screen, well strctured layout, connects to directly to your PC. Disadvantages: Small buttons that are shiny and slippery.
...This is an excellent phone that does just about everything but make tea. The screen is large enough for most needs, but not big enough for reading maps (unless you carry a magnifying glass with you).
The navigating around the different options is simple and straightforward, and a good job to as the number of options is huge like the colour of your screen Green, Yellow, Blue or Red or whatever you fancy.
Connecting to your PC is simplicity itself your phone sits in its cradle that connects via USB cable to PC, when connected Active Sync connects automatically, you can then transfer data to phone or from phone with a click of your mouse.
The SPV has a camera that is not integrated but is a loose bit of hardware that you plug-in this is a bit of a bind (what do you do with the camera when not connected to...
