The robot that responds like a temperamental toddler!

Advantages: Fun, voice activated robot with a range of functions
Disadvantages: Very temperamental, difficult to assemble, falls apart easily

...Spykee Mini Vox was one of the last minute bargain gifts that I ordered online for my seven year old son in the run-up to Christmas. The interactive robot was on offer at Debenhams online for just £15, rather than the alleged £40 RRP, so it seemed too good to resist. Despite being manufactured by Meccano, this robot bears no resemblance to the metal kits that I remember from my own childhood. This robot is made from plastic but does require assembly as it comes in an assortment of different bits and pieces. I'm not sure whether the assembly process is supposed to be part of the fun but it certainly wasn't in my household. A world of robots
