Spyro the Dragon with attitude

Advantages: lots to keep you busy
Disadvantages: hard for younger children

...Spyro Gateway to Glimmer is the second of the Spyro play station games and believe me you won’t be disappointed, there is enough here to keep you busy for days, so make sure you have a memory card installed. The story begins in Avalar where he comes across hurdles and quests. The idea of the game is that you Spyro must collect gems and complete various puzzles as you go along You are then rewarded with either an orb, these you need to collect or a talisman from each world. Orbs are symbols of power and the more you collect the more power ups you will be able to use as well as high powered portals to transport you. The main object of the game being to destroy the evil Ripto However you have various enemies to get past before your final conflict. There are many people you will meet along the way to help you and give you...

The year of Spyro

Advantages: Lovely graphics, plenty of levels, variety of playable characters
Disadvantages: Fairly similar to Spyro 2

...Spyro the Dragon burst onto the PlayStation back in late 1998. This cute 'n' colourful platformer provided the most free-roaming levels since the release of Gex 3D, more than a year earlier. Most gamers settled on the opinion that whilst it looked great and was good fun, it was lacking in long-term appeal. Not long after Spyro's first adventure was released, Crash Bandicoot 3 came along and packed a graphical, playability and longevity triple punch and it seemed that the cuddly purple dragons fifteen minutes of fame were up. A sequel was announced. More fun-but-shallow platforming we thought. How wrong. Spyro 2: Gateway To Glimmer appeared and against all expectations, blew the Bandicoot out of the water. Better graphics, more abilities and a bigger challenge - it was stunning. 2001 and one PSOne outing for Spyro, and as...

Spyro I - His first story

Advantages: The game is rather enjoyable and very playable
Disadvantages: can be too easy once you've played it enough

...Spyro the Dragon is the first of, now many, adventure games starring the little purple dragon. After the dragons of the dragon kingdom insulted Gnasty Gnorc, the grumpy Gnorc turned them all into crystal dragons - only Spyro remained unscathed... Now it is up to Spyro (and not forgetting his faithful companion Sparx) to rescue his brethren and restore order once more to the Dragon Kingdom. The game is designed for people aged 3 and over so the controls are pretty simple and basic to understand. The main functions players will use are the charge, jump, flame, and glide abilities. Side-rolling is also something Spyro is capable of and can come in very handy. There are five worlds, The Artisans, The Peace Keepers, The Magic Crafters, The Beast Makers and The Dream Weavers. Each world consists of a "Home" land and within that homeland...

Spyro the dragon - absorbingly great value

Advantages: big game, lots to explore
Disadvantages: can't get my son off it long enough to have a proper go

...Spyro the Dragon is a great game. I bought it for my son last Christmas and he's still playing it - determined to finish it. Spyro is a baby dragon who travels around a world which has been 'turned bad' by evil forces, and he puts things right by seeing off enemies and rescuing dragons that have been captured. Lots of exciting action and absolutely loads of levels and worlds to visit in this one - give it a try. I think it will be running in our house for quite a while! Please remember to rate this opinion before you leave. Thankyou....

Dragons Rule.

Advantages: Not too hard. Varied worlds and levels. Fun to play.
Disadvantages: Old graphics. He's got a stupid voice. Somtimes a little vague as to what to do next.

...What would you do if a giant, ugly beasty froze all your dragon friends, nicked all their treasure, took all their dragon eggs and made the world nasty place to live in for no apparent reason? Okay, that?s quit a tricky one. So what wouldn?t you do? You defiantly would NOT send a vertically-challenged baby dragon out to stop him would you? No? I thought as much. But, as it turns out, Spyro the Dragon is actually quite good, and defiantly one for the kiddie-wunkles. So it starts. All is peaceful in the dragon kingdom, the baby dragons are playing happily and the big dragons are relaxing round the pool, drinking Martini?s. That is, of course, until one Knasty Knorc (ooh! scary!) decides to freeze them all and take all their stuff. But one baby dragon by the name of Spyro (bet ya guessed, didn?t you?). Now this baby...

Being a dragon isnt easy you know

Advantages: Loads of indepth levels, loveable characters and an interesting storyline.
Disadvantages: camerawork needs to be improved.

...it thrown in as an extra when buying my Playstation, along with a spare controller and memory card (there are plenty of advantages being a girl) paying, maybe £12ish for the game. I originally wanted the first edition ?Spyro the Dragon? however when looking around I couldn?t find it so I opted for the third one ?Spyro Year of the Dragon?. I have since bought the first one although I am yet to play on it, and am now looking out for the second one in the series ? Spyro Gateway to Glimmer? so as to complete my collection, however I am having a hard job finding it. The three games in the series each have their own story line to make the games just that bit more interesting. In ?The Year of the Dragon? the story is as follows: Every twelve years, the dragon kingdom celebrates its most important event: in the spring of this year...

Spyro

Advantages: Fun, Colourful
Disadvantages: Camera can be dodgy

...At first glance this might appear to be another cutesy platformer for little kids. However, once you start playing you realise how wrong you were! Spyro has a lot of attitude for a dragon so small, and the frequent cut scenes had me sniggering, and occasionally rolling on the floor! The difficulty level seems just about right, increasing as your skills increase, and continually presenting you with exciting challenges. However, there is the odd pixel perfect jump required which can have you pulling your hair out! The graphics are absolutely great, with the purple dragon looking gorgeous, and all of the levels being rich in colour. The animation is faultless, with all of the movements of the characters being smooth and fast. The control system is pretty standard, but the button placements are intuitive and easy to reach in...

Spyro - this one's hot!

Advantages: huge game
Disadvantages: can't leave it alone

...Spyro the Dragon is a very absorbing game for the PlayStation . You play the part of a small dragon who runs, and sometimes flies, around rescuing other, larger dragons who have been turned into stone (or is it crystal?). The gameplay is smooth and fast enough for me, although I suspect for some more serious gamers it might be a little slow. The game is very large, and so far I have only managed to complete around 70 per cent of it. I has certainly held my interest and I will keep going to the end. Please remember to rate this opinion before you leave. Thankyou....

The wrath of the dragons

Advantages: Makes great viewing
Disadvantages: YOu don't get to see what goes on after the offer, how true to life it is is questionable

...I?m sure most of you know what the Dragon?s Den is, who the Dragons are and the format of the programme, but for those of you that do not I think I had better summarise. The Dragon?s Den is a place whereby entrepreneurs can pitch their business or ideas in order to raise cash to get a new business off the ground or grow and expand an existing and current business, and this is televised for our entertainment. The Dragons consist of successful business people with excess cash to invest in new business. The current Dragons are Theo Paphitis, James Caan, Deborah Meaden, Peter Jones and Duncan Bannatyne. Profiles of the Dragons can be found on the official website http://www.bbc.co.uk/dragonsden/thedragons/theo.shtml. My opinion Equity investment is raising funds through selling shares in your company and no...
