PEUGEOT 306 Sedan SR - Great Drive
Review of Peugeot by
madcaddies667
Advantages: Reliable, Comfortable, decent power
Disadvantages: Suspension Slightly Hard
...I have now owned 2 Peugeot Cars, a Peugeot 405, and now a Peugeot 306 Sedan SR and can safely say that they are worth every penny.
The Peugeot 306 SR is very similar to to 405 in many ways, mainly with the smooth handling and comfortable ride, but where the Peugeot 306 SR really excells over the older 405 model is in the body styling, the old straight edged design has been smoothed over on the 306 sedan and comes with an adequate 1.8 Litre SRInjection engine, the interiour is pleasent and has all the usual Peugeot electrics, the front windows and sunroof are electric and it has a rear heated window to enable easy de-misting, the 306 SR comes with an immobiliser keypad, steering protection device and Alarm with remote central locking to keep theives at bay.
the car drives superbly and have often been complimented on the comfort from...

Handy but dull
Review of Alesis SR-16 by
crustypaul
Advantages: cheap, easy to use
Disadvantages: no effects limited sound editing, dull sounds
...The Alesis SR-16 holds the title of the best selling drum machine of all time and some would say with good reason. The sound quality that this machine can produce is excellent but the drawback is that the 230 odd sounds contained within the unit are uniformly dull and uninspiring. If you need a workhorse set of drum sounds for backing tracks etc then the SR16 will do the job in style but i would not recommend it to anyone who has any kind of imagination in their music.
The operating system is fairly straightforward but some of the pattern editing is fairly cryptic if you don't have a manual, apart from that it's pretty easy to figure out whats going on. The SR16 can has 150 somewhat dodgy preset patterns but you can create another 150 of your own to string together in the 100 available songs. Outputs consist of a stereo pair and an pair...

Can these headphones live up to your expectations?
Review of Grado SR60 by
NomisG
Advantages: Good sound quality.
Disadvantages: Not too good stuffed in the backpack!
...In the interests of disclosure, I used to sell these products!
The overall look of these headphones is somewhat old-fashioned, but appearance is not what you are buying them for. They are an 'open back' design, meaning that what you are listening to will be heard by those around you as well as loud sounds around you affecting what you are hearing.
These headphones are reasonably sturdy, but are perhaps not the best at surviving being pulled in and out of a backpack with your MP3 player. Adjustment is good and the lead length generous (and also quite sturdy). The ear pads are easily and cheaply replaced.
The sound quality of the SR60 is not bad. Everything is there but they do not give the ultimate in revealing detail. They are certainly a huge sonic improvement over the standard 'phones provided with MP3 players and the like.
Some...

Good 'bang-for-the-buck' from Grado headphones.
Review of Grado SR80 by
NomisG
Advantages: Good sound, long lead, mini-jack and 1/4 inch jack provided.
Disadvantages: Some may find the 'on ear' fit difficult at first.
...In the interests of disclosure, I used to sell these products!
These are great headphones with Grado's unique vintage styling. These are the second headphone up the range and a clearly noticable improvement from the entry level (they use better wiring & technically superior, closer matched drivers). The jump up to the next headphone in the series (SR125) does not give anywhere near the same return for your money as the jump from SR60 to SR80. So in this respect at least, the extra money is well worth it. (I always felt that you needed to jump up 2 models above the SR80 to get a similar jump in quality).
They have a long lead as standard and come with mini-jack plug (for portable kit) and an adaptor to fit standard 1/4 inch jacks on Hi-Fi kit.
So what do they do well? Good bass extension, good detail in the mid range and nicely extended...

Review of Sony Handycam DCR SR50 by
profesortomas
Advantages: Easy to use, DVD quality, 21 hours of recording time.
Disadvantages: I think this camera don't have disadvantages for my use.
...I used this camera in November 2006 a friend of mine buy it, and all was perfect, i was surprised too for the easy to use.
When i saw this camera was really surprised, because the quality, the simplicity and the price.
The sound system is dolby digital Stereo, so is good quality.
The lense are Carl Zeiss, fantastic lense.
The hard disk 30Gb is a good space to save large video files, another thing is that this video camera can make photos, and the quality is very good.

Active Bass for Under £250!!
Review of Ibanez SR300DX Electric Bass by
Werksheye
Advantages: Value for money, active electronics, easy to play
Disadvantages: only comes in 3 different colours
...If you want a small bass with a punchy sound and active electronics but don't have much cash, the SR300DX is the bass for you!
I've had my SR300DX for about two years and in that time it's never let me down even after many times of being dropped, knocked over, bounced about in the back of vans and cars, left in damp rehearsal rooms and gigged.
Before the Ibanez I used a Fender Jazz bass. The jazz bass hasn't been touched since I got this bass. The Ibanez feels like a guitar compared to the jazz bass because of its weight and short length but still manages to have 24 frets (2 more than the jazz).
The neck is very slim and the frets are low and fat making this an easy bass to play. This bass would suit someone who is small or has small hands. The cutaway gives plenty of access higher up the fingerboard. The fingerboard itself...

The easiest way into biking!
Review of Yamaha SR125 by
slaveunit
Advantages: Simple, easy, reliable and fun
Disadvantages: lacks a bit of power
...For most new bikers on the roads, the SR125 was possibly the first bike they rode, as it's used a lot in CBT training. I am a motorbike instructor with a school that uses the SR125, and I have nothing but praise for them!
A very simple, cruiser/mini harley styled machine with a single cylinder, 4-stroke engine. Over the years, the SR has evolved, with tiny touches such as clocks updates and so on, but has essentially remained a 'get on and go' bike for the masses.
It's low seat/high bars position is very comfortable for riders of all sizes, and the lightweight build means that the bike is very maneuverable at low and high speeds, though high winds and bunpy roads can occasionally be a problem!
The key feature of them though, is their convenience. There is no worries of detonation of the engine from abuse (it's not a 2-stroke...

Marantz SR4400, sounds great, looks lovely
Review of Marantz SR 4400 A/V Receiver by
mendoza
Advantages: Great sound decoding, solid construction
Disadvantages: bit low on power output
...I recently bought a Marantz SR4400 and am very happy. I use it with KEF KHT2000 speakers and it sounds amazing. Saving private Ryan is awesome through this reciever the scene whith the storming of Omaha beach has bullets flying all around you powerfull explosion impacts with thunderous rumbles and tight thuds. At the same time voices can be heard clearly through the centre speaker although I had to increase the volume slightly to this channel.
Features include night mode which allows digital signals to be decreased, for example when watching action films at night while others are sleeping, turn on night mode and when their is a quiet scene followed by a loud action scene the reciever will lower the volume to a quieter level so that everyone in the house does'nt run to the bomb shelter.
The remote control has the abbility to operate...
