...I have found the Compaq SR2125UK a very powerful machine, I bought it as a secondary machine from PCWorld back in May 2007. When I first bought it I didn't realise it's full potential of what it's very upgradable motherboard can have. It's processor which comes shipped with it is an Intel Pentium D 915 which is around one of the first Dual Core processors around and is now starting to age a little, but this machine will happily take any Intel Core 2 Duo's. It'll also take up to 4GB of PC5300 DDR2 RAM and any PCIe x16 graphic card (with a PSU upgrade). So onto my first experience with this Compaq, after it had been delivered in a massive 4x4x4 foot box I was at first a little dissapointed to find a Micro ATX tower (smaller size computer) as alot of these towers which I've had experiences with have had cooling problems. ...Hi ! The new onkyo TX-SR 606 is the best surround amp on the market for under £500 period. We borrowed one for a few weeks whilst our onkyo TX-SR 875 was being repaired. We bought our 875 last year for £999.99 and this new buget model is about 95% of the performance of the 875. It has 4 HDMI inputs and is HD audio and video compliant. It is easy to set up, and sounds fantastic with movies. We have used the HD video scaler and normal DVDs look vastly improved. The unit we borrowd was in black (it is available in silver also) and looked substantial and stylish. Regarding the sound it steers audio around the room fantastically and never seems to be trying too hard or sounding harsh at higher levels. Overall a brilliant buy.... Read review

...I recently bought a Marantz SR4400 and am very happy. I use it with KEF KHT2000 speakers and it sounds amazing. Saving private Ryan is awesome through this reciever the scene whith the storming of Omaha beach has bullets flying all around you powerfull explosion impacts with thunderous rumbles and tight thuds. At the same time voices can be heard clearly through the centre speaker although I had to increase the volume slightly to this channel. Features include night mode which allows digital signals to be decreased, for example when watching action films at night while others are sleeping, turn on night mode and when their is a quiet scene followed by a loud action scene the reciever will lower the volume to a quieter level so that everyone in the house does'nt run to the bomb shelter. Advantages: Easy to set-up, great sound, HDMI switching and upscaling

...I bought my HDMI switch box last year it cost almost £150 alone. The SR606's HDMI inputs offer either a straight through signal at 1080P or you can upscale to 1080i from either the HDMI or component inputs. The sound is very crisp and detailed. The lower frequencies are handled nicely, though not as refined as higher priced units. One thing it does do very well is steering, the surround sound this baby delivers is awesome. The remote is very basic, but does all that you need. Oh and I almost forgot to mention... the set-up procedure is automatic, you plug in a little mic, position it as instructed on your screen and set the Onkyo going. Lots of funny noises and about 10 minutes later it is ready to go. I thought this was worth mentioning as not all people are technically minded, so having this auto feature is a great addition.... ...10 days ago I bought myself a SONY DCR-SR90E. The internet and the seemingly knowledgeable salesman convinced me that it would be perfect for filming concerts, with good light sensitivity and wonderful sound. Alas. It is all that, but it is a bit ahead of it's time. First thing I noticed after downloading the films is that WIndows Media Player, Quicktime and most others don't like surround-sound, the playback of the original roughs has massive interference. So I'd wanted to resort back to normal stereo, which the pc can handle. The camera does do stereo instead of the 5.1 surroundsound when the setting is on Easy Handycam. This is the setting for novices where you can't go wrong 'cause you can change nearly nothing. But if you need to film concerts at night, you may well need to change settings for the lighting etc. So you cannot... Read review

...The Yamaha SR125 is a small, custom-style bike. Being 5'3", it was a good choice for my first bike. It's reliable and easy to ride. Over the 5 years that I owned one, all I needed to do was give it an annual service, apart from topping up the oil and replacing the headlight bulb. The bulb needed replacing, on average, about once a year. It uses the same 12v type as a scooter so there was no lack of supply. ( Scooter shops seemed to offer it cheaper than dedicated motorbike shops). The other cosmetic items that occaisionally needed replacing were the clutch and brake handles. Also pretty inexpensive, about £12, depending on where you buy from. The rear brake is a drum brake which is quite old-fashioned now, but easy enough to work with.
