...I recently bought this camcorder from Ebay for £440.00. The model that I have is the American model but all the SR5s are universal and you can simply change it to PAL mode in the menu. I been very impressed so far and would certainly recommend this camcorder to anyone that is looking to buy a decent High Definition camcorder. Whats in the box Bundled with the camcorder is a USB cable to connect the camcorder to a computer, (via a docking station) a remote control complete with a battery, a power cord for charging and an AV connecting cable. As mentioned before a docking station is also enclosed which is used to charge the camcorder and connect it to a computer. The Camcorder The camcorder comes complete with a built in 40 GIG hard drive so there isn't any need for any tapes or a DVD. The camcorder works in the usual way... Read review

Advantages: Great Functionality
Disadvantages: Short Battery Life

...I first bought the camera to take pictures for websites, and was plesantly surprised to find all the features it had. The main factor i considered when buying it was the price. A lot of 2 Megapixel cameras were sufficient however, i felt the extra 3 Megapixels provided by the SR5 warrented the small price penalty. I've managed to take some really good pictures with this camera, including some for a family wedding. So now i use the camera for anything rather than just for my web design work. I would say this camera would be a perfect first step for somebody wanting to go further into photography, or similarly this camera would suit the home user looking for higher quality photos. The camera has a fairly large LCD display which is easy to see, in all light conditions. I have noticed that keeping the display on does eat... Read review
