An Indian merchant named Baba Budan was on pilgrimage to Mecca in the 17th Century. On his way home he managed to smuggle out seven coffee beans strapped to his stomach which he planted in his garden in Mysore, India. Dutch colonialists spread this coffee into Sumatra via Ceylon (now Sri Lanka). Sumatran coffee is rich, deep and earthy with notes of warm spice, clove, currant and liquorice and excellent creamy body.... Chez Toi is French for 'At Home' and was conceived as the domestic sales division of Cafe Du Monde Ltd. A Company that has traded for over 22 years and is today still owned and managed by its founders David and Mike. They originally began by selling the idea of putting cafetiere ground coffee in sealed sachets to ensure that the coffee was always fresh and that the amount was correct so that a perfect cup of cafetiere coffee could be served in restaurants and bars at any time of day. Advantages: Very Hot, Lovely Beach
Disadvantages: Touts, Poverty, Mosquitos
...hotel is a very friendly and clean hotel with something different on every single day.
Another experience for Sri Lanka is the Tut tut, this is the local transport, if you go anywhere it has to be on a Tut Tut. One thing to remember is to agree your price before going anywhere.
Finally before i finish i had my wedding at the Eden Resort, i would certainly recommend this.
The co-ordinators sort...

Sri Lanka - not all tea plantations
Advantages: Stunning scenery, pineapples are 10p!
Disadvantages: Can't safely see it all - roads are awful in places
...group, e.g when visiting the famous elephant orphanage.
Sri Lanka really is a beautiful place, with gentle people and amazingly good value food - we still had to buy lunches and started getting quite upset if it came to more than £2. No one suffered from any kind of travellers tummy, at least not in my earshot.
Sri Lanka did however introduce a new word to my vocabulary -
"Templed-out"...

Advantages: valued experiences
Disadvantages: No
...the south coast. It is a strange technique of fishing. Nobody knows how this technique originated from. It works as the stilts are attractive sceneries. You can catch a glimpse of the famouse stilt fishermen in the down south. You are lucky as such a sight is nowhere to be found in Sri Lanka. Stilt fishing is famous as a generational occupation among the fishermen with the child taking after father...
