MAKE HANDWASHING A THING OF THE PAST

...What good is having a modern, state of the art fitted kitchen if you haven?t got the modern kitchen appliances to go with it. I bought my fitted kitchen about three years ago from John Lewis and at the same time I purchased a Bosch SRS 5602 dishwasher machine for about £310, which was also installed by John Lewis. Dishwashers tend to be last on people?s priority list of kitchen appliances, these machines are overlooked but its not until you actually buy one that you realize how good and handy they really are. After looking at several makes of dishwasher machines I decided to go for the Bosch 5602 ~ it?s unique slimline feature was the main selling point for me. Compact Active Speakers

...I had the Sony SRS-Z510 active speakers with my old PC which I had around 3-4 years ago. They were decent active speakers at the time and did the job. The first thing I noticed was that they were quite heavy and the second thing I noticed was that although they looked small from the front, they were actually good 12cm long in height. The audio cable supplied was around 2 meters in length which was standard supplied as speakers were designed to be placed on your desk, hence the length of cable supplied. The speakers had two inputs, which was ideal if you wanted to connect you MP3 player and your PC to them at the same time. Also on the speakers was the usual headphone jack. The on/off switch was lit up by a green LED when the system was switched on. The volume knob was smooth and didn't feel loose at all, which made it easy to adjust...

For hands that don't do dishes

Advantages: Slimline, lots of programmes, hi-tech

...I have the smallest kitchen in the world (probably) so having a dishwasher seems like a crazy idea. However, my partner and I recently decided to change our kitchen totally (see my op on Kitchens from IKEA) and included in that was not to have a sink and drainer - far too big, but to have a small round sink, no drainer, but a lovely slimline dishwasher. I have some friends who work for Bosch and they recommended the SRS5602 to me. Although one of the most expensive in the range, it has some amazing features which make up for the cost. It is extremely economical to run, uses very little water and has a 'hydro sensor' which detects how dirty the water is after the first rinse. If the water is too dirty, it discards it, if not re-uses it for the main wash. It has a timer delay so you can put the machine on over night when...
