To keep your tan maintained it is recommended that you moisturise all over your body everyday. This works and helps your tan to fade evenly. If you don't moisturise the tan will wear off horribly leaving white and brown patches all over the place! Last year, being a very pale shade with the task of being a bridesmaid for one of my mates, I decided that I didn't want my pale skin to clash with the pale dress I had to wear!! So off to a salon to have the St Tropez professional tanning treatment. I was amazed! I emerged from the salon with a decent tan (as it is coloured you can see the effects immediately). The tan developed and I was left looking as though I had been on holiday. It lasted for nearly 2 weeks. A real confidence boost for the vain people amongst us!! I think it's because of aldehydes, the most important constituents of this fragrance. They possess a waxy, fatty smell that often makes think on washed and dried clothe. Aldehydes are found in nature (for example in a citrus peel), but never in amounts used in Chanel No. 5. That makes this smell a bit unnatural from one side, but it also gives an interesting exotic twist. In my opinion EDP is much softer than EDT version - the aldehydes are less sharp and the floral bouquet is more prominent.
