St Paul's Bay - excellent value for money
Advantages: Cheap, easy to get around, hassle free.
Disadvantages: The time share people, although we were only hounded twice.
...I booked a holiday for my husband, my mum and myself at the San Anton hotel in St Paul's Bay. The San Anton is a nice, basic hotel offering self catering or all inclusive. It's ideal for families as there is organised entertainment for both children and adults throughout the day. This was ideal for us as my mum can't walk very well and is often too tired to venture out of the hotel. There was a 5 minute walk to the nearest bus stop from the hotel so it wasn't difficult to find our way round the island on the local buses. Every thing I'd read about the local buses prior to arriving in Malta suggested they were falling to bits and were incredibly uncomfortable, however, I didn't find them any worse than the average bus at home in Glasgow, and at 80 pence, approximately, for the longest journey they offer much better value.

My Bay
Advantages: tasty addition to stews and cassorole
Disadvantages: maybe to strong for your taste
...Bay is an everygreen herb which grows like a shrub, it can be grown in open spaces or in tubs.
The flowers of the bay are yellow and it will flower in may.
The best way to get a bay plant is to buy one from a garden centre for around 99p depending on the size. I also like to get my herbs from bootsales where you can pick them up from 25p so saves money.
When your bay plant is well established in the pot re-plant it outside. It likes to be in a sunny but shaded place in the garden.
They may die off in the winter but should throw new shoots during the following spring.
Bay is a native to the east mediterranean but have been grown in europe for years. They are a very popular herb to grow in your herb garden as they have a good use in cookery. You can use the leaves dried or fresh.
Bay leaves have a very strong aromatic...

Nature at Bay
Advantages: Accessible, attractive, atmospheric
Disadvantages: Covers too small an area
...worth looking out for.
* When to go *
Spring or autumn for preference, as with most other places. The bay can also be impressively austere in winter. The time to avoid, in my opinion, is high summer, when St Valery in particular is at its busiest and the bay is most likely to be crowded with leisure craft.
* Recommendation *
In researching the background for this review, I found that the Bay of the Somme has recently been officially recognised among thirty-two "Grands Sites de France", signifying its unusual ecology and importance as a bird sanctuary. More dubiously, it is also listed on a website (www.world-bays.com) as one of the twenty-eight "most beautiful bays of the world". Since no fewer than five of these turn out to be in France, one somehow suspects that the provenance of the website might be self...

St Ives Bay Holiday Park
Advantages: excellent value for money, safe environment for children
Disadvantages: can't get into chalet/caravan till 4pm
...We first visited this holiday park in 2001. It had come recommended by a friend. On our first visit we stayed in a chalet, it is always with an air of anticipation that I open a chalet/caravan door, however I was more than presently surprised at the interior: very clean and tidy with all essentials to hand in the kitchen and even duvets provided in the bedrooms, the huge bay windows kept the room bright and inviting and lighting outside made sure you felt safe in the evenings. Each cluster of chalets has it's own play area for children well away from cars.
On our second stay we opted for a caravan and even at 9 months pregnant,(yes, we holidayed 2 weeks before our second was born!), I found the caravan roomy and comfortable, again all necessaries were available, however only blankets are provided in caravans. We have always visited...

For a Holiday to remember visit Whitecliff Bay
Advantages: Plenty of on site entertainment, Nowhere on the Island is far away and public transport is very good, Perfect for couples and families
Disadvantages: The walk back up from the beach is hard work
...Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park is located in Bembridge on the Isle of Wight. It has been established for over 50 years and is a fantastic place for a family holiday.
My family have been visiting Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park for over 7 years now and for us a summer holiday would not be the same if we didn't visit Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park.
The Holiday Park is set in the countryside and has everything on site you could wish for - ideal for those who don't want to venture off site, although it would be a shame to visit the beautiful Isle of Wight and not go sightseeing.
The facilities offered by Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park include an outdoor swimming pool, an indoor swimming pool with a water slide and a separate toddler pool, there is also a sauna and solarium located within the swimming pool area. There is an outdoor play area...

David Cook
Advantages: Current American Idol winner, a musician
Disadvantages: None
...This...... is the current American Idol Winner.
David Cook is the American Idol that nearly never was. He actually was not initially going to try out for the television talent show, he was at the auditions to support his brother but, after some pushing from his brother, decided to audition too. A good decision, because he became the winner of the seventh season of American Idol in 2008.
David Cook is classified as a Rock, singer-songwriter. His sound is definitely very rocky, but in my opinion quite soft rock. He has a very deep, raspy voice that lends itself very well to this type of music. What I really like about him is that he can actually play an instrument, unlike a lot of the new pop stars out there today who are just manufactured. He plays the guitar and actually used it quite a lot when he was performing on Idol. If you look...

Blue Bay Escape, St Spyridon
Advantages: The holiday of a lifetime
Disadvantages: Coming home :'(
...Booked this holiday as a last minute booking for the whole family and I have to say, I wasn't disappointed by my decision.
Only booked a week for a party of 7 (2 apartments) 4 adults and 3 children.
Took almost 2 hours to get the St Spryridon where Blue Bay is situated, but it was well worth it. You can see Albania from the on site (salt water) swimming pool, which is where we spend the majority of the time there. The beach is sandy and close by. But my biggest suggestion would be to go All Inclusive, as there is very limited shops and amenities for those who went self catering.
You will never go hungry or thirsty being All Inc, with breakfast served between 7-9.30am, and burgers, pizza's and hotdog's from the poolside bar from 10am-9pm, and Ice cream available from 10am-9pm... the kid's will be in their element...

Britains smallest city!!
Advantages: Beautiful Scenery
Disadvantages: Not much to do in wet weather.
...). The last part of the journey through the south of Wales to reach the St David's is the worst part, hills are very steep (this is hard for cars with either little power or have a heavy load, e.g. Caravan, bikes) and the roads are very narrow. However the journey through Wales is very pretty and provides lovely views despite it's hilliness. I would recommend that people who may suffer from travel sickness take some medicine because this is one of the worst routes for travel sickness.
=WHERE WE STAYED: CAERFAI BAY=
Although this camp-site has probably one of the hardest names to pronounce, the views were spectacular as the camp-site was on top of a cliff looking across the sea providing stunning sunsets and sunrises. However although the upsides to camping on top of a cliff are beautiful views, the downside is that the winds coming off...

BAY TRADING
Advantages: Great quality, styles and prices
Disadvantages: Too cramped store
...Well the answer to my title is quite simple, um.... cash for clothes and accessories and in this case DECENT, GOOD QUALITY Bay Trading items, sorry about the dodgy title but I couldn't really think of anything else! I've only really noticed Bay Trading in my local town centre recently, I've only just started shopping there too so her goes my opinion on the shop itself.
The store itself is relatively small but have been in bigger branches, with racks down the sides of the small, thin, long store and 1 single rack all the way down the middle of the store, things can get a little cramped. When loads of people are in the tiny store all at once, things can get a litte out of hand.
Luckily the store uses the floor above it too for the changing rooms. The changing rooms are great with a big communal area and then 2 smaller changing rooms...

ROBIN HOOD'S BAY
Advantages: Beautifully preserved and evocative
Disadvantages: STEEP
...I've always wondered why Robin Hood's Bay was in North Yorkshire and not in Nottinghamshire. One explanation might be that Nottinghamshire, being landlocked, is not over-endowed with bays. Another is the sheer logistics of moving it from one county to another.
Robin Hood's Bay is around 5 miles south of Whitby, and some 15 miles north of Scarborough on the North Sea coast of North Yorks. I've researched a little, and I can find no explanation of why this place has such an interesting name - it doesn't matter anyway.
There are records dating back from 1536, apparently, of a small settlement of around 50 houses and 20 fishing boats but nothing about its namesake. Besides, the locals prefer to call it Bay Town.
There may be some tenuous connection to the 'Prince of Thieves' though. Fishing has always been the mainstay of this...
