St Ives Invigorating Apricot Scrub
Review of St Ives Apricot Scrub by  leebee81

Advantages: Powerful Scrub, Inexpensive
Disadvantages: Can be a bit harsh on fragile skin

...I have been using this scrub on and off for more the 4 years. I have tried many of the St Ives brand of products, but this is one i always come back to. The scrub comes in an apricot-coloured plastic tube with a transparent blue flip-top. the flip is securely teathered, and easy to open. The product flows easily from the tube with a gentle squeeze. The tube holds 150ml of product. The scrub itself is crushed walnut shell in a pale coloured-creamy base. It has a mild, pleasent scent. The shell is very abrasive. I find a small amount is all thats necessisary for a facial scrub and I only use it once or twice a week. I use a very gentle rubbing motion with the tips of my fingers, concentrating on my nose and cheeks where my pores are. I always follow with a mild light moisturiser. The creamy-base does not cleanse or foam, so I use... Read review

Apricot scrub
Review of St Ives Ultra Gentle Apricot Scrub by  fg4f

Advantages: Smells nice, not expensive
Disadvantages: makes your skin feel a bit tight

...Finally a product of the week I can comment on! I don't think I have very sensitive skin but I use this anyway because it has quite good value for money, it's a generously sized bottle, and you don't need much on your hand for each use so it's long lasting, and I love the smell. You can get a lot of information from their website, www.stives.com, such as: Apricot Scrub - what does it do? Invigorating apricot scrub - Reveal vibrant, visibly healthy skin. Beautiful visibly healthy skin is not hard to find with St.Ives invigoration formulas. Make it your secret for softer, smoother looking skin. ''This #1 selling scrub contains 100% natural exfoliants to deep clean pores. Apricot Extract deep cleans pores while gently removing dull, dead skin cells to reveal smoother skin. * Dermatologist Tested * Non-drying... Read review

St. Ives skin removal face scrub!
Review of St Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub by  SarahSkas

Advantages: Very thorough, leaves skin feeling soft and smooth
Disadvantages: Quite painful to use, takes a while for skin to calm afterwards

...to be pummelled into the skin. I'm suprised I wasn't left with dents! So what makes it so effective? Some of the natural active ingredients include: walnut shell, corn oil, apricot kernal oil, chamomile extract, sunflower extract, and some Swiss botanicals. Although these ingredients are great, there are a lot of chemical ingredients too. Due to the harsh nature of this scrub I would not recommend it for sensitive skin; if you have severe acne using this will make you feel like your face is burning off (as experienced by my brother), so caution is recommended there. I think this product is really effective, but it really depends on the individuals' skin type. I recommended it despite this, but do take heed to my warnings. For more information you can go onto the St. Ives consumer website which is on the back of the product (www.stives.com).... Read review

Amazing Apricot Scrub - Best Exfoliator!
Review of St Ives Apricot Scrub by  snarflebat

Advantages: It works! - leaves skin rosy and radiant, reasonable price, suitable for everyday
Disadvantages: May not be suitable for sensitive skin

...and unclog pores on the skin's surface, giving a more radiant appearance to the face as the dry/oily top layer of skin is cleaned away to reveal a fresher-faced you. And, I have to say, it works. Presented in a top-down squeezy tube (with the trademark St. Ives mountain motif and white and orange banding design), the scrub is designed to be used on the face but not around the sensitive eye area (where the skin is thinner and more fragile). The instructions for use are clearly printed on the tube, indicating to moisten the face and neck and gently massage in the scrub (avoiding the delicate eye area!). I tend to use the scrub in the shower (while leaving conditioner in my hair for maximum efficiency!) - as per the instructions, I liberally wet my face and neck area, being sure to have removed all traces of make-up before applying. A small... Read review

St Ives does it once again
Review of St Ives Apricot Scrub by  Katecgreen

Advantages: Not bad on price esp. as it works
Disadvantages: NONE though not advisble for sensitive skin

...a natural exfoliators which quickly and gently removes complexion-dulling impurities, leaving fresh, healthy-looking brighter skin. (It does exactly what it says on the tin…or tube) As with all St. Ives products it has a high percentage of natural ingredients (more that 90%). There are THREE different types of St Ives Apricot scrubs in the range: ·Blemish control (This is the white coloured tube). This is primarily for skin, which is prone to blemishes, i.e. greasy skin. ·Ultra gentle (I did look at this in the shop but have no memory of what colour the tube is.) This is for sensitive skin, which may find normal exfoliators too harsh. ·Invigorating (This is in an apricot coloured tube with a purple lid). I would suggest this for the majority of people who do not fit into the above categories. ~PRICE~ I initially bought... Read review

St Ives Ultra Gentle Apricot Scrub
Review of St Ives Ultra Gentle Apricot Scrub by  travellednews

Advantages: Good value, Nice feel & smell
Disadvantages: Can be frustrating rinsing off the little exfoliating pieces

...I bought this for the first time to review it and I'm glad I did as I found it overall very good and will buy it again. I thought this was a good price for the amount you get. The ingredients seem pretty natural, with over 85% plant extracts, which I think is important. It smells nice, and is not too over-powering - so you don't smell like an apricot all day long. It's not too rough on your skin, but exfoliates it well, and leaves it feeling very soft afterwards. It is also creamy, and doesn't leave your skin feeling too oily, which some can. It can be tricky getting the last bit out of the tube, as you can't take the top off, but being as economical as I am, I'm used to this. Especially with toothpaste!... Read review

St Ives Apricot Scrub, Blemish Control
Review of St Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub by  curlyjo86

Advantages: It worked, Feels Amazing
Disadvantages: None for me

...I picked up this product after a sudden out burst of bad skin. I generally have quite oily skin but all of a sudden, I got these disgusting sort of black heads which look as though they are trapped under the skin. I have been using this product for about ten days now and they are nearly all gone plus my skins looks very freshed faced and all for under £3!!!! It can make your face quite red but it calms down ater a couple of minutes. Its great for the morinings, it makes you look very awake! I use the scrub every morning and night but once my skin has totally cleared I may just use it once a day as I think it will still be as effective. This is definatly a product I will always be using from now on!... Read review

Scrub Me To Heaven!!
Review of St Ives Invigorating Apricot Scrub by  BubbleLove

Advantages: Fresh, Radiant Skin
Disadvantages: Not For Sensitive Skin

..., perk and healthy! I had soft smooth skin which was a brilliant base for my foundation. It also seemed to get rid of all those annoying black heads around my nose area. I do advise that if you have sensitive skin maybe to try another product, my friend who has very sensitive skin found that it made her skin itchy and very dry. I do know that there are sensitive products available from this range so maybe you would be best trying one of those. After using the scrub 3 times a week for a month my skin is really healthy and looking radiant it really does do what it says and this has now become one of my regular beauty regimes. I would defiantly recommend this product. I bought my St Ives Invigorating Apricot Scrub from superdrug when the range was on offer I paid £1.99 for it but I think usual price is around £3.99. Although if you get... Read review

don't tantalize just buy St Ives
Review of St Ives Apricot Scrub by  fizzingwhizbee0

Advantages: Wow! Freshness, smoothness, clean feeling!
Disadvantages: hurts if you get it in your eyes...

...Wow i feel refreshed! MY STORY OF ENLIGHTENMENT I get really dry skin around my cheeks when i get stressed, spotty, red yuckness. I can't use soap as it completely dries out my skin giving me even more spots and tightness everywhere, so i gave up, leaving my skin's condition to the elements to take care of. Cornish winters are harsh, this winter has been particularly bad for my skin and i've begun flaking and feeling horrid. Sitting down with my boyfriend the other day he commented on my skin looking pretty sorry for it self and suggested i 'borrow' some of his mum's exfoliant, "I use it sometimes, it's really nice"...hmmmm I opened the copboard and there it sat, a LARGE tube of St. Ives Apricot facial scrub (suitable for all skin types although they also do a sensitive skin one, oily, acne prone and alot of others including foot... Scrub Me Silly!
Review of St Ives Apricot Scrub by  thrillerismyfavouritesong

Advantages: price, scent, great exfoliating properties!
Disadvantages: can be rough and harsh

...skin smooth for a couple days at least. HOW LONG DOES IT LAST? Depending on how often you use it, the 150 ML tube should last you about 1-5 months, as you don't need a whole lot. A 400 ML tub can last you about a year, so good value for money. OTHER VARIATIONS ON THE PRODUCT: For those who have sensitive skin: "St. Ives Apricot Scrub For Sensitive Skin". The beads in this product claim to be gentler than the one "For All Skin Types" For those who have skin problems, "St. Ives Medicated Apricot Scrub", which contains the medicinal ingredient salicylic acid. CONCLUSION: This product lives up to all it's claims except one -- gentle exfoliation. It is actually rather rough and harsh, because the beads in it are "natural" and therefore, jagged. Still I find it a better exfoliant than those with rounded beads... Read review
