Swiss Vanilla Protein Conditioner
Advantages: Delicious smell, does its job
Disadvantages: Doesn't feel good on wet hair
...Swiss Vanilla Protein Conditioner- OK, OK. So I know that this isn't in the right category but this is the closest I could get as Ciao don't give us the ability to suggest new brands, only products.
OK, so its a conditioner with the usual claims covering the packaging: leaves hair beautifully soft and manageable, radiating with health, body and shine.
Theres nothing there out of the ordinary, no claim that isn't made on almost every other conditioner bottle. The thing that attracted me to this conditioner was the name: Swiss Vanilla Protein Conditioner. Like almost everyone I know, I love vanilla. No, I adore it. I use vanilla room sprays, scented candles, perfume, shower gel, bath bubbles, the works. Vanilla is my absolute favourite smell. I think I've made my point anyway.
This conditioner is designed for normal hair. My...

A trust worthy formula
Advantages: Protects your skin from dry weather
Disadvantages: nothing !
...I cannot live without this product ! Yes, I mean it ! I am not
joking ! In Canada , we live in severe winter conditions .
Right now , we are experiencing heavy snow and freezing rains. The
temperature has gone below 0 degrees . It has been like this from
last christmas . We have a very long winter and very short fall , spring and summer .
We Canadians take every precaution to take care of our skin ,
which is subjected to extreme cold temperature most of the time.
We use many lotions and moisturizing creams to keep our body
moisturized without getting dry . I have used Johnson's skin products , Nivea , Kamille and other such brands. They are all good . I wanted to try St.Ives Swiss Formula and bought a small
pac. 75 ml pac cost...

dull and tired?
Advantages: better skin condition
Disadvantages: spots
...the back of my goodies cupboard and came up with a face mask for ?dull tired skin?. Just the thing for a dull tired Melee.
The 15ml twisty-topped tube was trapped inside a bubble fronted packet, a dangerous trial for nails, but when I finally got inside that it was easy enough to break the seal and slather thick globs of the green clay over my face. Immersed in the bath I had a little read of the St Ives blurb.
This Clay based mask promises to deep clean, restoring firmness, smoothness and elasticity (if you ever possessed such things), and drawing out impurities, toxins and dead cells along the way. Gingko, rosemary and caffeine promote enhanced blood flow to the surface of your skin to help out too. The instructions are easy enough for the most bleary eyed of you to follow: a thick layer smoothed over skin rinsed and patted dry, left...

GOOD COMBO Rosemary and Ginkgo
Advantages: Effective and Value for Money
Disadvantages: Hard to obtain
...I first came across the St. Ives body lotions whilst reading the free magazine ‘M’ from The Mirror. Each week they review something or other and this week in particular they were looking at the best creams for reducing cellulite and increasing firmness. They looked at a huge assortment from £100+ to affordable prices at under £5. So with this in mind, mum and I went in search of St. Ives Firming lotion, which was recommended as one of the best and reviewed saying “I would have paid £50 for a bottle of this”.
~ST. IVES BACKGROUND~
St. Ives Swiss formula is clinically proven to increase the skins firmness by up to 31%, skins elasticity by up to 21% and skins smoothness by up to 60%. It contains more than 89% natural ingredients such as “hydrating ginkgo” and “soothing Swiss botanicals”...

ST IVES THIRTY EIGHT YEARS AND STILL MAGIC
Advantages: FAMILY FRIENDLY
Disadvantages: Still looking for any.
...First went to St Ives with my girl friend in 1969, will go this year in September with the SAME Girl now my wife for our 36th Visit.
The first time, we had arrived by the little train that runs from St Erth (On lthe main line) to St Ives, MAGIC. And we feel this is the best way to View St Ives. Hopefully it is Sunny (Always seems to be) sit on the RIGHT side of the train facing direction of Travel and glue your nose to the Window, Watch the miles of golden sands at Lelant then St IVES will appear floating on a sea of Blue water as good or even better than all the Med Resorts of Italy and the South of France.
As a young Couple we went out to explore that first night, and could not work out why which ever street we went down we seemed to come to the Sea. Then in daylight viewing from the Top of the town you see that it is...

Im feeling like talking about the weather...
Advantages: makes your hair soft and shiny
Disadvantages: But not really that much more than any other conditioner
...Aren't Sachets great? I always see products I would love to try but I cant be arsed to pay loadsa money only to find out that it doesnt work! Im sure im not alone on this. Anyway... I decided that for just 99p I could get a 30ml sachet of St Ives Swiss Hair formula... so I did.
I am addicted to conditioners, and as I have curly hair that frizzes whenever theres even the tiniest hint of moisture in the air (I heard somewhere that in England we live in 80% saturated air... dunno if its true, but my hair was less than impressed to know this... if hair knew anthing that is.... interesting...) Anyway, I shampooed my hair and then opened the sachet... one of those annoying ones which you have to use scissors with to get into it. Then I put it on my hair, as you do with these sorts of things, and it didnt seem like anything special, just...

Revenge of the Blowtorch Hairdryers from Hell
Advantages: Thick constituency, (roto-action) pumpo-pumpo, does the job
Disadvantages: Kerching! The price (Saltire does not advocate shoplifting), like the L'Oreal folk say - "you're worth it".
...Recently, my hair had found itself in a particularly bad state after a run-in with a hairdryer which had reset to its factory setting as a blowtorch (Note: Don't try this at home, kiddies) so it was particularly important to me to stop me looking like an extra from Crystal Tipps and Alastair! (And no, I don't mean Alastair). I took myself to the nearest pharmacist in my lunch hour for some quick-repair, and found it in the form of St. Ives Swiss Formula Hair Repair - No Frizz serum.
I have long hair of the most typical kind - greasy at the roots, dry at the ends but clearly it was worse for the Hairdryer Incident. I've never had my hair any shorter than shoulder length and so it's important for me to keep it in good condition. It is also has a natural curl, which tends to develop as a frizz if I'm not careful.
I'd never...

I SMELL LIKE MY GRANNY...
Advantages: May help remind you of times past!
Disadvantages: Made my skin very dry and itchy
...crystals dissolved rapidly. I really hate sitting in a bath full of undissolved salt. It plays havoc with your cheeks!
I couldn’t work out at first what the aroma of the bath salts reminded me of, but once up to my ears in the warmness of the bath it came to me. Do you remember those individually wrapped cubes of bath salts that sometimes came in a gift box? One of my Grandmas always used to have them, and put them into my bath water when I stayed at her house. She thought that it was a real treat. Well that’s what it smelled like. In fact the overpowering flowery, and mildly disinfectant smell made me think that perhaps I was lying in a bath of Zoflora by accident!

Eye Watering Stuff
Advantages: Adds body, repairs split ends
Disadvantages: Pungent smelling, removes lustre and shine from hair
...If like me your hair is thin and very fine, and prone to split ends, you might find you have a problem with ‘limpness’ *ahem*. To try and overcome this embarrassing little problem, I tried the Swiss Formula Hair Repair Thickening Shampoo in the hope it might just cure my limpness and split ends once and for all and give me some much needed body!
The first thing I noticed was the smell! No, not from me, although that’s normally bad enough, but from the shampoo! It’s really quite powerful and at times can be simply overwhelming. It’s so strong it actually makes my eyes water and has a rather unpleasant chemical odour to it. By Jove, I thought, being so potent, this stuff has got to work!
So, I gave it a try, followed the instructions to the letter, and blow dried my hair as usual. I then stood and gawped...
