The Church of St Lawrence, Eyam

...The small Derbyshire village of Eyam is most famous for its association with the bubonic plague in the 17th century. The plague was brought here from London in 1666 via infected cloth and within just a few weeks over half of the population of Eyam had died. Many people are drawn here by this moving story and those that know the story well will know that that the Church of St Lawrence that stands in the centre of this pretty village is paramount in the story. When the plague struck in 1666 the Church had already been standing for almost five centuries. However in those days it was dedicated to St Helen and was not renamed until around 1900. Lawrence Cat Shedder

Advantages: Very effective and Easy to Clean

...This review is for the Lawrence Cat Shedder, however, as it this is just a miniature replica of the dog shedder, I can?t see there being a lot of difference. I adopted two cats a couple of years ago, one of which has a very sleek coat which turned out to be notoriously hard to groom. Since then I have been on a quest to find a brush that actually takes the dead fur off him, not just for the sake of my vacuum cleaner, but because it?s not nice or healthy for him not to be stuck with dead hair on him. Martin Lawrence Live - Runteldat

Advantages: Hilarious throughout with a twist of philosophy.
Disadvantages: Could easily offend many people. Special features don't add much.

...One weekend I was on the lookout for a good comedy film and I came across this Martin Lawrence stand up. Having only seen in him good cop - bad cop movies before (all of which I found amazingly funny) I wasn't aware that this was where he started his career so I thought I'd give him a shot. It starts with a short film about the trials and tribulations (a phrase you shall hear throughout the stand-up) in Martin's life, both personally and professionally, and is a real eye-opener for those who just thought of him as an uncomplicated comedy actor. The stand-up itself starts with the obligatory thankyou's and minor insults directed at the crowd but once he gets into his flow his comedy brilliance really shines through. Advantages: Nice even colour, can see where it has been applied already

...*Introduction* The St Tropez autobronzant is a thick lotion which you apply on your face and body, and then leave to absorb for 4 hours before washing off to reveal your tan. It promises to be 'non-greasy' and 'quick drying' with a 'relaxing aromatic scent'. It comes in one shade only, but you can reapply two nights in a row to deepen the tan. I have really pale skin that doesn't tan at all naturally, so I have to be careful what fake tan I use as I can be left with orange coloured skin! *Packaging and Price* The packaging is quite simple and whereas most fake tanning products come in a brown or orange bottle, it is distinctive as it comes in a white bottle with black writing. ...As an avid rugby fan I have recently read 3 autobiographies , Dallaglio's, Martin Johnson's and Jonny Wilkinson's. For me Dallaglio's was the bes read by some distance. Looks The cover of this book features a closeup of Lawrence in the rain playing for Wasps issuing a rallying cry to the troops. I think this captures the man perfectly and this view is further enhanced by reading the book. The back cover is a great shot of Dallaglio picking up from the back of the scrum for England vs New Zealand. Format The book starts right at the beginning of Dallaglio's life and chronicles his rugby career from the very beginnings through to the end of his playing days. The book is frank and to the point. ...This product has got to be one of the most convincing fake tans I have ever found. Last year, being a very pale shade with the task of being a bridesmaid for one of my mates, I decided that I didn't want my pale skin to clash with the pale dress I had to wear!! So off to a salon to have the St Tropez professional tanning treatment. I was amazed! I emerged from the salon with a decent tan (as it is coloured you can see the effects immediately). The tan developed and I was left looking as though I had been on holiday. It lasted for nearly 2 weeks. A real confidence boost for the vain people amongst us!! After seeing how the professionals do it, I now do it myself!!! It is much better to mix half and half with moisturiser. If you go wrong you just apply another thin coat. The Niagra of St Vincent

Advantages: Very picturesque, nice plunge pool to swim in, plenty of diving in points
Disadvantages: Not as big or impressive as I was expecting

...The Falls of Baleine are located on the North West side of St Vincent and can only be reached by boat, therefore for tourists that don?t know anyone on the island the only way to get there is to go on an organised tour. A lack of tourists on the island will mean that getting a tour is not as easy as it is in other holiday destinations, where you are touted everywhere. In St Vincent it is the tourist that has to do all the hard work and actively seek out excursions because the tour operators/locals will not come to you. Whilst you will pay for the boat trip to the falls, entry is absolutely free and other than any other tourists that may be present you will be on your own. Disadvantages: Some tourists will still find it geared towards locals, but that isn't so.

...I'd like to comment on the two reviews posted here about the St. Lawrence Market - oh nothing critical, save the statement that the market is more for the inhabitants of the city and not so for tourists. I would disagree in as much as any market that sells food is not geared towards tourist sales. However every tourist should pop in and savour the atmosphere, eat and drink what they fancy and perhaps purchase a few of the more exotic delicacies to take away with them. There really is more to the market than fish mongers selling slabs of halibut that won't and shouldn't fit into a visitor's suitcase! Definitely the best time to see the market is on a Saturday morning when across the street, the Farmer's market is in full swing. While I don't expect tourists to purchase whole chickens, there are interesting items that should be of note...
