St Mark's Square - A magical place.

Advantages: One of the most beautiful and romantic places and cities in the world!
Disadvantages: The square can sometimes flood, back alley's with poor drainage can smell slightly but this does not affect main aress at all

...If you are not staying in Venice itself, you will usually arrive by a ferry boat that usually drops you at the mouth of the grand canal. There are a lot of different "bus" stops here so try and remember the number of the stop so you can locate it on your way back!! Once you have left the boat you will find yourself on a large walkway with buildings on one side and the open water on the other! It is very strange to know you are in a city with no roads! Once you are off the boat, take a left as this will lead you to St Marks Square and the hub of Venice. As you are walking along (depending on how far up you were dropped) you may go over a number of stunning bridge that traverse the smaller canals running into the city. Take a look to your right as you go over and you will see some picture postcard views of the local life and houses...

Advantages: good quality products
Disadvantages: none

...Marks and Spencers have a few branches within Dublin, the main branch being on Grafton St. It is set in a very old building and has 4 floors, a food centre on the lower ground floor - it has a separate entrance as well as accessible within the shop. It has also a complete food to go now and it offers snacks like soup, hot sandwiches as well as paninis and the usual array of drinks. The shop also has an expresso bar on the ground floor and more recently a roof top restaurant offering good cuisine at reasonable prices. The shop also has all the old favourites of a department shop, good clothing at nice prices. The staff are friendly in all stores but the one on grafton st has excellent service. Worth a look....

...Marks and Spencer Dine in for two at £10 offer has been running for sometime now, but I hadn't seen it in the new shop that opened nearly a year ago in Livingston, until quite recently - probably because I went at the beginning of the week and it is only on Thursday to Sunday inclusive. I think it has become so popular at Marks that other supermarkets have followed and copied the idea but I have never been tempted in Tesco, as the selection was quite poor, the wine had run out etc. We have tried this a few times now and only once have been disappointed with one product. Marks and Spencer are renowned for good quality food although they do tend to be quite expensive, but in a world where people want to cook quickly they certainly provide easy to cook and tasty prepared food. ...the parts which are extra dry. When doing my face, I dab vaseline over my eyebrows and along my hair line, as I find that this helps stop me having orange eyebrows and brown marks framing my face! One thing I should point out is that it is not a good idea to apply the lotion straight after you come out of the shower as your pores are opened up from the steam and you will be left with brown dots all over your skin! *Application* To apply I use St Tropez latex gloves, a mitt to apply to my face and hands and an applicator for my back. It is important that you cover your hands with gloves so that you are not left with bright orange palms. When I first started using this lotion, I used to just wash my hands every couple of minutes, but I was still left with orange palms and worse.. brown fingernails! Does Marks hit the mark?

Advantages: Ideal location for city centre
Disadvantages: none really

...Having to travel from time to time for work I recently found myself having to spend the best part of a week in Glasgow and in need of somewhere to lay my weary head at the end of the day and Marks hit the spot in terms of distance from the office and located right in the middle of the city centre with shops and bars a few minutes walk away. Advantages: Excellent colour, easy to see where applying as it is coloured

...This product has got to be one of the most convincing fake tans I have ever found. Last year, being a very pale shade with the task of being a bridesmaid for one of my mates, I decided that I didn't want my pale skin to clash with the pale dress I had to wear!! So off to a salon to have the St Tropez professional tanning treatment. I was amazed! I emerged from the salon with a decent tan (as it is coloured you can see the effects immediately). The tan developed and I was left looking as though I had been on holiday. It lasted for nearly 2 weeks. A real confidence boost for the vain people amongst us!! After seeing how the professionals do it, I now do it myself!!! It is much better to mix half and half with moisturiser. If you go wrong you just apply another thin coat.
