Hotel International

Advantages: Location, breakfasts
Disadvantages: Poor rooms

...I recently went on a cultural girlie trip with a friend to Paris. I was left to do all the booking. I was looking for a reasonable hotel, near a metro stop, which included breakfast. I came across the Hotel International on various travel sites and it seemed fairly highly rated so I booked us in for three nights. LOCATION: The hotel is located 6 Rue Auguste Barbier in the 11th Arrondissement. The nearest Metro stop is Garcourt which was a two minute walk away and it was a five minute walk to Republique which gives good links to other lines. It's not really central enough to avoid the Metro and walk to the attractions but it was located so close to a stop that it seemed ideal. PRICE: Prices vary depending on size of room and season. There are singles, doubles and triples available. We paid Euro254 for the whole time...

ST Tropez Autobronzant

Advantages: Nice even colour, can see where it has been applied already
Disadvantages: Messy and expensive

...*Introduction* The St Tropez autobronzant is a thick lotion which you apply on your face and body, and then leave to absorb for 4 hours before washing off to reveal your tan. It promises to be 'non-greasy' and 'quick drying' with a 'relaxing aromatic scent'. It comes in one shade only, but you can reapply two nights in a row to deepen the tan. I have really pale skin that doesn't tan at all naturally, so I have to be careful what fake tan I use as I can be left with orange coloured skin! *Packaging and Price* The packaging is quite simple and whereas most fake tanning products come in a brown or orange bottle, it is distinctive as it comes in a white bottle with black writing. When buying, look carefully at the bottle to check you have the right product though as the St Tropez body polish comes in a very similar bottle...

Meet me in St Louis

Advantages: Magnificent skyline. Lots to do and see. Wonderful music heritage.
Disadvantages: A number of attractions not wheelchair accessible

...from high quality hotels to B & Bs. There are many of the value hotel chains including Comfort Hotels, Drury Inns and Holiday Inns. We opted for a Comfort Inn for our short time in St Louis. And yes, it was comfortable. ~~Getting to and from St Louis~~ St Louis is easily accessed by road with several Interstates leading to and from the city. Parking is ample in the city but there is of course a high charge. Lambert-St. Louis International Airport is owned and operated by the city of St Louis with flights available to and from 80 cities. Buses and trains both operate daily within the city. Attractions are in clusters enabling you to walk and visit a number at a time. The Jefferson National Expansion Memorial houses the Gateway Arch, The Old Courthouse and is close enough to the Riverside for the cruises. Field Park houses the Art...

Just like a hotel

Advantages: Cheap, convenient accomodation
Disadvantages: Right on a main road

...have previously stayed in. Firstly this hostel is very conveniently located within 5 minutes walking distance of three London train stations (Kings Cross, Euston and St. Pancras). Kings Cross and Euston are also on the Victoria Tube Line and one or two stops from the Circular line. Anyway I travelled there with a group of four female college friends. We had two rooms of four with me being in a room all alone and the four females sharing. Sadly my room was not en suite but the other room was. However my bathroom was right outside my room and was shared with only one other room sharing so it wasn't too bad. Both rooms had two sets of bunk beds with sheets and quilts supplied, a table, three chairs (a bit bizarre in a room for four), hanging space, coat hangers, a mirror, and lockable cupboards but only with a padlock which you need...

Belfast International Airport

Advantages: Internet, Cheap car parking
Disadvantages: Can get boring after 18 hours

...Belfast International Airport (Belfast Aiport) I flew out of belfast airport around four years ago, when I did fly out of the airport it was a bad time to fly out. The day before we where to depart to orlando the shoe bomber came on the scene! So the airport secuirty was put up. But the airline I was travelling with most of their planes had Technical difficuilties. So I was delayed for 30 hours and had to stay in the Hilton over night. So I should be able to tell you enough about it as I was in it for 24 hours. Area... The Belfast airport isn't in belfast, it is closer to Antrim a city near belfast. The airport is around 12 or 13 miles away from Belfast. So I don't know why they called it Belfast International Airport. But there is a hotel beside the airport. So if you have a early flight and you coudn't be bothered to get up...

A St Tropez Tan

Advantages: Excellent colour, easy to see where applying as it is coloured
Disadvantages: Quite expensive

...This product has got to be one of the most convincing fake tans I have ever found. Last year, being a very pale shade with the task of being a bridesmaid for one of my mates, I decided that I didn't want my pale skin to clash with the pale dress I had to wear!! So off to a salon to have the St Tropez professional tanning treatment. I was amazed! I emerged from the salon with a decent tan (as it is coloured you can see the effects immediately). The tan developed and I was left looking as though I had been on holiday. It lasted for nearly 2 weeks. A real confidence boost for the vain people amongst us!! After seeing how the professionals do it, I now do it myself!!! It is much better to mix half and half with moisturiser. If you go wrong you just apply another thin coat. You wash the excess off about 4-5 hours later and you...

Sun Kissed With St Tropez!

Advantages: gives an even deep tan & lasts a long time
Disadvantages: expensive

...As a girl who uses fake tan a lot, I have used many brands and St. Tropez is by far the best! I was given a gift set for Christmas (unsure where it is from) and it came with the 'every day gradual tan body lotion', exfoliator and moisturiser. St. Tropez sell many tanning products, all in different shades and different ways to apply it to your skin. Ranging from a light tan, to a deep sun-kissed glow. *The Product: The St. Tropez every day gradual moisturiser is a light moisturiser that easily absorbs into your skin. It combines the factors in vitamin E, aloe vera and fake tan. The tan gradually builds up on your skin the more you use it. 3 times in a week (using the light-medium tan) will give you a lightly tanned look, the same time using medium/dark will give you a dark sun-kissed look - the more you use the darker you get! *The...

The Niagra of St Vincent

Advantages: Very picturesque, nice plunge pool to swim in, plenty of diving in points
Disadvantages: Not as big or impressive as I was expecting

...The Falls of Baleine are located on the North West side of St Vincent and can only be reached by boat, therefore for tourists that don?t know anyone on the island the only way to get there is to go on an organised tour. A lack of tourists on the island will mean that getting a tour is not as easy as it is in other holiday destinations, where you are touted everywhere. In St Vincent it is the tourist that has to do all the hard work and actively seek out excursions because the tour operators/locals will not come to you. Whilst you will pay for the boat trip to the falls, entry is absolutely free and other than any other tourists that may be present you will be on your own. We managed to catch a boat from India Bay and the trip to the falls took around thirty five minutes. Given the size of St Vincent the trip to the falls will be...

St Tropez Self Tan

Advantages: Great colour and very even colour
Disadvantages: Takes time and alot of effort

...St Tropez is a great range that contains all the products needed for a fantastic natural looking all year round tan. It claims to work instantly for a streak less application that will last for days. It comes in an 8oz bottle with a handy pump action, which makes it a lot easier to use. I paid £26.50 for this, which I know does seem like a lot. I initially brought the St Tropez mousse however this brought me out in a rash so I had to discontinue using it. My friend used this lotion so I borrowed a little bit and I didn?t have the same reaction so decided to give it ago. I did love this at first because it brought me out in such a dark tan and I even had one done professionally, which cost £25, I thought after it was a waste of money because it really is easy enough to do it at home and get the same results. This is in my...

St Annes NOT Lytham

Advantages: lovely
Disadvantages: rubbish when it rains

...Before I start there is one thing I need to get straight Lytham and St Annes are two different places with 2 different town centres and I am reviewing St Annes and not Lytham. (ok it is now a single borough but the people that live in these places see them as separate towns) If you put either St Annes or Lytham into google etc you will get information on both Lytham and St Annes The full name is St Annes-On-the-Sea which is shortened to St Annes . A Bit of History Colonal Clifton the squire of Lytham wanted to develop the area known as 'West End' (That part is now St Annes) All there was in 1870 was Dunes, a railway from Blackpool to Lytham and some farms and cottages that paid rent to the Clifton's. They had seen the good of Lytham as a resort so saw the dunes as somewhere they...
