Advantages: deceivingly good colour

...Dilema, Just been on holiday, have come back with a great tan, but not as great as you expected and it is fading fast because of the terrible English weather! Solution: St Tropez self tanning lotion So I paid just over £50 for St Tropez Step 1 (Exfoliant), Step 2 (moisturiser) and Step 3 (Auto Brozant). As I found out later, if you follow the instructions on the bottle, you should get a good result. For a virgin self tanner (which I was), it all looks a bit daunting after having paid out so much money! I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for and once again I have been proven right. So Step 1, I am standing in the bathroom covered in exfoliator, with my poor boyfriend standing behind me exfoliating my back for me. Advantages: Easy to see where you have applied the tan

...I have tried many many self tanning products on the market. I have very pale skin and look like a ghost lol. Many of the products I have used always turn orange on me and streak really bad. The new L'Oreal glove gives a beautiful colour but the streaks on my body were terrible, and it tends to go darker on ankles, knees, elbows and knuckles. Anyway I decided to try St Tropez as everyone keeps raving about it. I purchased the trial size kit (£10.50 from Boots) The kit contains 1 bottle of body polish, 1 bottle of moisturiser and 1 bottle of auto bronzant. The body polisher is excellent, leaves your skin looking great and it feels amazing. The moisturiser is also good but it is very very greasy. Disadvantages: Don't over-rub or it will remove the tan

May appear streaky as product dries - this is normal and showering in morning will uncover a beautiful, even tan. To deepen tan, apply 3 nights consecutively. For a lighter tan, blend to desired shade ONLY with St Tropez Body Moisturiser. To maintain your colour, apply 1 to 3 times weekly. To maintain your tan, moisturise daily and use St Tropez Body Polisher every 3 days." I can't comment on applying a lighter tan as I've never tried it but I do use moisturiser to blend the tan subtly into my feet so I presume it would work on the whole body. Disadvantages: Can be too dark for some. Not exactly 'foolproof'. Price.

...Well today it has really begun to feel like Spring has sprung! Warmer days will soon be upon us, and so with thoughts of a new (skimpier) summer wardrobe on my mind I thought it might be useful to write a review based on my experiences of self-tanning, and in particular my favourite self-tan product, St Tropez. I first used this product last spring having tried and tested probably every other self-tan product on the market (for the record my recommended cheaper alternative to St Tropez would be Ambre Solaire 'No Streaks Bronzer' self-tanning spray by Garnier. At last check this retails for about £8.99 at Boots, but it will almost certainly be cheaper at your local supermarket! I think I paid about £6.49 at ASDA the last time I used this product. ...*Introduction* The St Tropez autobronzant is a thick lotion which you apply on your face and body, and then leave to absorb for 4 hours before washing off to reveal your tan. It promises to be 'non-greasy' and 'quick drying' with a 'relaxing aromatic scent'. It comes in one shade only, but you can reapply two nights in a row to deepen the tan. I have really pale skin that doesn't tan at all naturally, so I have to be careful what fake tan I use as I can be left with orange coloured skin! *Packaging and Price* The packaging is quite simple and whereas most fake tanning products come in a brown or orange bottle, it is distinctive as it comes in a white bottle with black writing. ...My first experience of St Tropez tanning mousse was approximately 2 years ago when I worked alongside the beauty section within a department store. As part of the promotion within the sunglasses section we all created the summer look, including the use of the St Tropez tan to create that gorgeous beach babe look. Well all I can say is I was very pleasantly surprised. My previous experience of Fake Tan using a pump spray from Garnier left me hideously orange, very much resembling an oompah-loompah from Charlie and the Chocolate factory. Needless to say I was very apprehensive about using fake tan after that point. Prior to tan application, I had to go through all the usual rigour of exfoliation, moisturising and general skin preparation.
