St Tropez Bronzing Mist
Review of St Tropez Bronzing Mist by
lilyellowfish
Advantages: Gives you some colour - better than nothing.
Disadvantages: Expensive, hard to absorb, you still have to rub in.

About St Tropez
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
St Tropez are a leading brand of self tanning products and have been around since 1996. They have a huge range of products from this Bronzing Mist, Mousse to a make up range to compliment your tan.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Why I brought the product
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have never been a fan of St Tropez products, I have always thought they were over-rated and really not that good, so I know you'll be thinking why did you buy this then? I brought it through pure vanity to tell the truth - I was desperate for a tan and my usual fake tan - Fake Bake had run out, and I didn't want to wait for it to come through the post, as I order on the internet, so I popped into my local salon and picked up a bottle of St Tropez Bronzing Mist. I thought as I'd never used this product so would give...
St Tropez Bronze Mist Superb
Review of St Tropez Instant Bronzing Mist by
bonito
Advantages: The streak free tanning effect and very advatageous as you can see where you are putting the product
Disadvantages: Drys very fast which can sometimes be too fast to keep up with and can cause streaks if not fast enough
...I have used the St Tropez bronzing mist and have found it to be the best tanning prduct that I have ultimatley used to date. I have used many tanning products from products such as Le Tan and nutrogenas version of a fake tan and before trying the Jungle Bronze self tanner and it was also very good but this St Tropez Bronzer is even 100 times better. I now have all my friends using it, It does not leave you with that horrible smell that most self tanners do and is really easy to apply with the advantage of being tinted so you can see exactly where you are placing it on your body and get the perfect "natural looking" tan, and no sun cancer needed.
Basically I exfoliate and moisturise about half an hour before using it I then use gloves to buy the product, and you can use any decent gloves, moisturiser and gloves. I have not tried the St...
Bronzed and Beautiful
Review of St Tropez Instant Bronzing Mist by
LouZ
Advantages: Natural look, no 'false tan' smell
Disadvantages: Application isn't as easy as I'd hoped
...by celebrities, I decided to splash out and try St Tropez.
I invested £20 in a 270ml bottle of Instant Self Tanning Bronzing Mist. I chose the spray rather than the mousse as I though it would be much easier to apply. So how do you apply the product? First you must prepare your skin. You can follow step 1 (the Body Polisher) and 3 (the Body Moisturiser) as directed by the marketing bumpf on the bottle, or like me you can save your self some money and use your own brand of exfoliator to remove dead skin cells and moisturiser to hydrate dry areas. Now put on gloves as the product will stain your hands if you don't protect them. If you are blonde you should also wear a shower cap to protect your hair as it may stain light hair. Make sure you're not standing on a white carpet (you are warned that it will stain fabrics although I've found...
St. Tropez - become a bronzed babe for your hols!
Review of St Tropez Whipped Bronze Instant Self-Tanning Mousse by
vcarina88x
Advantages: (+) nice texture (+) dries well (+) good on sensitive skin (+) natural or very tanned effect
Disadvantages: (-) quite expensive
...My mother introduced me to St Tropez when I was 13 years old. I never really used it, other than the occasional dab on my face using the face tanning cream. However, I began using the Tropez range quite often because I am not a fan of sunbeds; having many moles on my body, I am very cautious of UV tanning.
My skin is very pale yet this mousse formulation is great and never looks overdone. One time, I applied wayyy too much when I was in a hurry yet it looked quite natural, not the orange baked look I had accidentally excperienced with other brands such as Eco Tan spray. All that is really required is a little scrubbing and exfoliation of the skin beforehand, whether eaely that morning or 10 mins before! Also, moisturiser can come in handy on any rough areas - the tanning mousse, like most others, finds it hard to absorb into the skin...
St Tropez - Whipping me up into a Summer Frenzy!
Review of St Tropez Whipped Bronze Instant Self-Tanning Mousse by
Fox40
Advantages: Natural looking tan that lasts for several days
Disadvantages: Needs a bit of practice to get just right
...to linger on your skin for days after application. I'm sure it's not that noticible to anyone else, but it is a bit off-putting.).
Self-tanning does take a bit of practice to get right, and despite what seasoned users of St Tropez might claim, this product is no different in that sense. The key to good self-tanning I'm afraid is good preparation, patience and precision application. But, I'd like to share my tips with you and hopefully make the experience a little easier.
Firstly, don't be fooled into thinking you have to use all the accompanying products available in the St Tropez range. It is very important to exfoliate and mosturise before applying the Whipped Bronze Mousse, but rather than using the St Tropez Body Polisher and Body Moisturizer (as recommended on the tin!), just go with your usual products (if you don't currently use...
St Tropez a streaky rip-off
Review of St Tropez Whipped Bronze Instant Self-Tanning Mousse by
sophie2506
Advantages: Errrm...??
Disadvantages: Makes you orange, strips your skin, and steals your money!
...and a celeb favourite, I was convinced that it was going to be worth my money. It promised a streakless tan, probably due to it's magical unique formula, although I'm still not sure what that is. But unfortunately, I was wrong again.
The whole thing is a bit of a con anyway. With most self-tans you can expect to get the whole thing in one bottle, but not with St Tropez. You have to follow the steps, which actually means you have to buy numerous products. First, a body polisher to get rid of all those nasty dead skin cells, at about £16, then a moisturiser at about £13, and if you opt for the bigger bottle of the bronzing mousse, that's another £30.
Despite the fact that the first two steps could quite easily be purchased for a couple of pounds on their own, brand-free, the instructions for the self-tan assured me that I would not get...
St Tropez - fantastic, worth the expensive prices!
Review of St Tropez Whipped Bronze Instant Self-Tanning Mousse by
verna-carina88x
Advantages: as on review - colour, application, shade range, versatility, blending
Disadvantages: Price but I don't mind paying for excellent goods, smell is a bit weird!
Beautifully bronzed babe!
Review of St Tropez Whipped Bronze Instant Self-Tanning Mousse by
carly_pussycat
Advantages: Beautiful real looking tan. Good value for money. Won't give you skin cancer!
Disadvantages: A little tricky to apply the first few times.
...product. I thought, if this is the best fake tan and it doesn't work then I'll resign myself to staying my natural colour, but in the mean time I'd give it a try.
ST TROPEZ WHIPPED BRONZE INSTANT SELF-TANNING MOUSSE
What a mouthful!
The bottle is not particularly striking or attractive when you see it in the shop but when you get it home you realise it is certainly well designed. It is made of thick plastic with the name 'Whipped Bronze' and small St Tropez logo on the front. It is green and white with black writing and has a fat nozzle dispenser on the top for ease of application. The dispenser is easy to use and not at all stiff to press down so you can use as much or as little as you want at a time. It also has a lid on top of that in order that the bottle doesn't leak, or press itself when it's in storage...
Do you know the way to St Tropez?
Review of St Tropez Whipped Bronze Instant Self-Tanning Mousse by
little_minx26
Advantages: Non-streaky, non-tangoed
Disadvantages: MUST exfoliate & moisturise before using
..., had bright orange feet & hands and somehow managed to miss a patch above my knee which made it look like I had a hole in my leg. Hmm, not a good introduction to the world of fake tanning.
**Do you know the way to St Tropez?**
I then decided it was time to pay out and find out if this St Tropez stuff really was as good as Posh & Britney seemed to make out.
I started with one of with the those trial packs that you can buy from most department stores for about £34.99. The trial packs contain the Auto-Bronzant (the original St Tropez) as well as the moisturiser & body polish exfoliater. Nearly all St Tropez products are packaged in not-very-exciting black and white plastic bottles. I think you mainly pay for the name!
Anyway, after dutifully exfoliating & moisturising I came to applying the tan. Well, the Auto-Bronzant is the most...
St Tropez Self-Tan Mousse
Review of St Tropez Whipped Bronze Instant Self-Tanning Mousse by
bugsy121
Advantages: Easy to apply, even coverage, no streaks, won't make you go orange
Disadvantages: May make you smell a bit like a stale biscuit for a few days after application
...My first experience of St Tropez tanning mousse was approximately 2 years ago when I worked alongside the beauty section within a department store. As part of the promotion within the sunglasses section we all created the summer look, including the use of the St Tropez tan to create that gorgeous beach babe look. Well all I can say is I was very pleasantly surprised.
My previous experience of Fake Tan using a pump spray from Garnier left me hideously orange, very much resembling an oompah-loompah from Charlie and the Chocolate factory. Needless to say I was very apprehensive about using fake tan after that point.
Prior to tan application, I had to go through all the usual rigour of exfoliation, moisturising and general skin preparation. It's worth noting here that if u plan to defuzz any areas of your body then it's worth doing...
