...This product has got to be one of the most convincing fake tans I have ever found. Last year, being a very pale shade with the task of being a bridesmaid for one of my mates, I decided that I didn't want my pale skin to clash with the pale dress I had to wear!! So off to a salon to have the St Tropez professional tanning treatment. I was amazed! I emerged from the salon with a decent tan (as it is coloured you can see the effects immediately). ...As a girl who has trouble applying makeup and beauty products, I was sceptical before reaching for the well known self tanner St Tropez. I bought the set -moisturiser, whipped mouse tanner, gloves and exfoliator in a set from Boots. I thought if I was going to attempt the sunkissed look, it would be vital I get it right! On opening the box I was overwhelmed by the instructions : Step 1 - Prepare skin by exfoliating. Step 2 - Use moisturiser on dry areas( I recommend using it everywhere!) St Tropez Bronzing Mist

Advantages: Gives you some colour - better than nothing.
Disadvantages: Expensive, hard to absorb, you still have to rub in.

...-applying the Mist ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 3 days after I originally tanned myself with St Tropez Bronzing Mist, I decided to reapply it to get a deeper tan. It went on the same as when I originally applied it, and it was still difficult to rub in. This time I wore gloves to do this, I just used some from a hair dye pack. This meant my hands were not stained by the tan this time, but it made it harder to rub in as the surface of the gloves were not smooth like my hands, so I had to do light circular motions with my fingers - meaning it took longer. Not bad and extends a St Tropez Spary tan

...I have just returned from a holiday and before i went got fake tanned at my local salon using the St Tropez spray tan, as i was away for 10 days i thought it would be useful to take along a fake tanning product to top up my tan and keep me looking browner than my normal china white!. This St Tropez Everyday Tan was recommended and I thought as my base tan was already St Tropez it would be better to keep to the same. The tan was easy to apply and didn't smell badly like some of the fake tanning products on the market. It did take a wee while to soak in so it was best not to apply just before putting on clothes. The texture was nice not too runny or to gloopy. St Tropez Everyday is a Quality Summer Skin Moisturiser

Advantages: Luxurious Drenching Treat and Gives you an outstanding, rich, classy colour!

...Luxurious, thick in consistency Lotion takes 15 - 20 minutes to absorb fully; and if you are in a rush it sometimes streaks, this is best applied on clean skin that has been well moisturised for the week before, you don't want to waste any you see! I personally use two or three different brands of Summer Skin at the same time; alternating the three daily. I do this because someone recommended me to as using just one brand everyday makes you go either orange or like "streaky bacon" This is £10.95 from Boots, so I find this method also makes your St. Tropez Lotion last three times as long! St Tropez Everday Face - A good gradual tanner

Advantages: Easy application, light base, nice smell, doesn't produce orange look, easy to add into make-up
Disadvantages: Not an instant tan achieved, gradually builds up to a soft glow

...I bought the St Tropez Everday Face as a recommendation from a friend. I have always been a little bit hesitant with fake tan as the different smells can be offputting, and on many occasions I have ended up looking like an orange rather than the bronzed goddess I want to be! I did however take a chance with this, and might I add, I am very pleased I did. I was lucky with the price I paid as I managed to buy it from a store which was closing down so it cost around £7.50 (I have seen it advertised elsewhere for around £13). ...Ok summer was here (and may come again) and so we all got the good old fake tan out .... however some of us have found practice definetely makes almost perfect. I thought I would share a few tips from the horrible mistakes I have made (no pictures, sorry but I'm not that daft!) Application: Exfoliate, exfoliate and exfoliate. Then shave your legs, girls (even if you did them recently). Otherwise in a couple of days you'll need to shave again and there goes the perfect tan. Exfoliation brings out those little hairs that are about to break out. Personally I don't wear gloves as I find application without is better. If you don't either make sure you fully exfoliate your hands afterwards otherwise the tango effect will take place :o) Take care around the nail area.
