...This product has got to be one of the most convincing fake tans I have ever found. Last year, being a very pale shade with the task of being a bridesmaid for one of my mates, I decided that I didn't want my pale skin to clash with the pale dress I had to wear!! So off to a salon to have the St Tropez professional tanning treatment. I was amazed! I emerged from the salon with a decent tan (as it is coloured you can see the effects immediately). The tan developed and I was left looking as though I had been on holiday. It lasted for nearly 2 weeks. A real confidence boost for the vain people amongst us!! After seeing how the professionals do it, I now do it myself!!! It is much better to mix half and half with moisturiser. If you go wrong you just apply another thin coat. St Tropez Self-Tan Mousse

Advantages: Easy to apply, even coverage, no streaks, won't make you go orange
Disadvantages: May make you smell a bit like a stale biscuit for a few days after application

...My first experience of St Tropez tanning mousse was approximately 2 years ago when I worked alongside the beauty section within a department store. As part of the promotion within the sunglasses section we all created the summer look, including the use of the St Tropez tan to create that gorgeous beach babe look. Well all I can say is I was very pleasantly surprised. My previous experience of Fake Tan using a pump spray from Garnier left me hideously orange, very much resembling an oompah-loompah from Charlie and the Chocolate factory. Needless to say I was very apprehensive about using fake tan after that point. Prior to tan application, I had to go through all the usual rigour of exfoliation, moisturising and general skin preparation. I have previously reviewed the St Tropez as a self tanner but it wasn't until recently that I used the polisher that goes along with the self tanner and I found this to be very effective and a must if you are using a self tan. The St Tropez body polisher is sold within the kits of St Tropez Self Tanning Systems and depending on the size the prices can range from around £25 from the smaller kits to £60 for the larger kits. The body polisher can be bought separately too for a price of around £15 for the larger sized bottle of 240ml. ...*Introduction* The St Tropez autobronzant is a thick lotion which you apply on your face and body, and then leave to absorb for 4 hours before washing off to reveal your tan. It promises to be 'non-greasy' and 'quick drying' with a 'relaxing aromatic scent'. It comes in one shade only, but you can reapply two nights in a row to deepen the tan. I have really pale skin that doesn't tan at all naturally, so I have to be careful what fake tan I use as I can be left with orange coloured skin! *Packaging and Price* The packaging is quite simple and whereas most fake tanning products come in a brown or orange bottle, it is distinctive as it comes in a white bottle with black writing. Bye Bye stale biscuit smell! St Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse

Advantages: New product smells floral and pleasant - seems to colour more evenly too
Disadvantages: still fades a little patchy but think they all do

...light fragrance that you is not overpowering but there is definitely no hint of nastiness. It smells as if you are wearing a light body lotion. I wondered whether the initial floraly scent would wear off in a couple of hours or so but by morning I still smelled like a bouquet! Leaving it overnight I showered in the morning and it revealed a golden bronze colour which was extremely even and to date, long lasting. I applied on Monday then again on Wednesday and by Sunday it was still going strong. In comparison with the old version, I think it delivers a more even finish and long lasting result. It does still fade patchy in places, and when they finally conquer that little problem they will have the perfect fake tan in their grasp. Until now, I am just happy with the fragrance improvement - St. Tropez have played a blinder...

St Topez Self Tan lotion

Advantages: Bottle last a long time
Disadvantages: Tan can wash off very easily

...When using this product you had to start in stages by doing a small section at a time. I found it was easier starting with the legs and spraying the product onto my leg then using an old sponge to spread it around as this product stains your hands terribly. It gave you a very good overall tan, although you needed to be sure you had covered all areas. I thought I had covered my feet an ankles well until the product had completely dried and I realised I had patches. I feel this is a good tanning product and the tan is very natural, however it washes off very easily and rubs of when near clothing. The bottle lasts a long time but dont quite feel it is worth the money as there is better products out there which are less hassle....

...Dilema, Just been on holiday, have come back with a great tan, but not as great as you expected and it is fading fast because of the terrible English weather! Solution: St Tropez self tanning lotion So I paid just over £50 for St Tropez Step 1 (Exfoliant), Step 2 (moisturiser) and Step 3 (Auto Brozant). As I found out later, if you follow the instructions on the bottle, you should get a good result. For a virgin self tanner (which I was), it all looks a bit daunting after having paid out so much money! I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for and once again I have been proven right. So Step 1, I am standing in the bathroom covered in exfoliator, with my poor boyfriend standing behind me exfoliating my back for me. ...This is by far the best self tan that i have tried. I have tried a few other brands but they are still standing on the shelf in my bathroom half full. I have always been a bit scared of applying self tan and so had never ventured any further than my legs. However whan i bought my bottle of St tropez the results were so good, i had a go at putting it on my full body, and the results were amazing. It can be a bit tricky getting the hang of applying the mousse, but once you have mastered it then it is really easy. My advice would be to use the Body polisher and moisturiser as these are both really nice products, better than any others ive tried. You can buy gift box sets which includes everything in one box - self tan mousse - body polisher and moisturiser. This is what i purchased first to try it out, i now buy them seperately as they...

...Although I got on fantastically well with the Whipped Bronze Instant Self-Tanning Mousse from St Tropez I'm always up for trying new products and it appeared to me that more people use the normal 'lotion' as opposed to the mousse. Is it better? Let's see. ST TROPEZ TINTED SELF-TANNING LOTION The bottle for this lotion is quite different to the mousse. This lotion is presented in a smart, thick white plastic bottle with a black pump action nozzle. It proclaims itself as being 'Step 3' (and we all know what that means!) St Tropez like to make out that only their Step 1 and Step 2 could POSSIBLY precede Step 3 but I disagree - Step 1 is essentially just an exfoliator and Step 2 is a moisturiser. I would imagine that anyone willing to fork out money on a fake tan probably owns AT LEAST one exfoliator and moisturiser already...
