Advantages: New product smells floral and pleasant - seems to colour more evenly too
Disadvantages: still fades a little patchy but think they all do

...This product is for the new improved product (the photo is of the old packaging) I have been a St Tropez devotee for years now, I love its colour and the fact that its so easy to apply. In fact one of my first reviews for dooyoo was for the whipped bronze mousse. In this review, I mentioned that one of the disadvantages was the smell - people compare it to stale biscuits and it's just horrible. The colour is great but the smell lingers, but as all fake tans smell, I just kind of put up with it...until now! 2009 saw St Tropez releasing new improved versions of their best selling products. As well as sleek new black on white packaging, there were major improvements to the smell. It claimed to have a pleasant fragrance - hmmm I thought, I am a bit sceptical, I will have to try this for myself! I bought a 240ml bronzing mousse...

St Tropez Self-Tan Mousse

Advantages: Easy to apply, even coverage, no streaks, won't make you go orange
Disadvantages: May make you smell a bit like a stale biscuit for a few days after application

...My first experience of St Tropez tanning mousse was approximately 2 years ago when I worked alongside the beauty section within a department store. As part of the promotion within the sunglasses section we all created the summer look, including the use of the St Tropez tan to create that gorgeous beach babe look. Well all I can say is I was very pleasantly surprised. My previous experience of Fake Tan using a pump spray from Garnier left me hideously orange, very much resembling an oompah-loompah from Charlie and the Chocolate factory. Needless to say I was very apprehensive about using fake tan after that point. Prior to tan application, I had to go through all the usual rigour of exfoliation, moisturising and general skin preparation. It claims to work instantly for a streak less application that will last for days. It comes in an 8oz bottle with a handy pump action, which makes it a lot easier to use. ...This product has got to be one of the most convincing fake tans I have ever found. Last year, being a very pale shade with the task of being a bridesmaid for one of my mates, I decided that I didn't want my pale skin to clash with the pale dress I had to wear!! So off to a salon to have the St Tropez professional tanning treatment. I was amazed! I emerged from the salon with a decent tan (as it is coloured you can see the effects immediately). The tan developed and I was left looking as though I had been on holiday. It lasted for nearly 2 weeks. A real confidence boost for the vain people amongst us!! After seeing how the professionals do it, I now do it myself!!! It is much better to mix half and half with moisturiser. If you go wrong you just apply another thin coat. ...This is by far the best self tan that i have tried. I have tried a few other brands but they are still standing on the shelf in my bathroom half full. I have always been a bit scared of applying self tan and so had never ventured any further than my legs. However whan i bought my bottle of St tropez the results were so good, i had a go at putting it on my full body, and the results were amazing. It can be a bit tricky getting the hang of applying the mousse, but once you have mastered it then it is really easy. My advice would be to use the Body polisher and moisturiser as these are both really nice products, better than any others ive tried. ...Fab product providing you 1.Use disposable latex free gloves 2.Moisturise you feet, ankles, inner arms, knees just prior to fake tanning 3.Use a small sponge for back of hands & face 4.Get some one to do your back for you Do all those and you get a lovely natural looking tan using the whipped bronze, streak free, no orange hands. I have used this product for a few years and find that it gives a fantastic look, much better than going to a salon & cheaper, if you shop around on line using google search you can get a 240ml bottle of the whipped bronze mousse for less than £25 its £30 plus in high street shops , the 240ml lasts a good while, in summer i use it approx twice a week .   St Tropez - Whipping me up into a Summer Frenzy!

...Well today it has really begun to feel like Spring has sprung! Warmer days will soon be upon us, and so with thoughts of a new (skimpier) summer wardrobe on my mind I thought it might be useful to write a review based on my experiences of self-tanning, and in particular my favourite self-tan product, St Tropez. I first used this product last spring having tried and tested probably every other self-tan product on the market (for the record my recommended cheaper alternative to St Tropez would be Ambre Solaire 'No Streaks Bronzer' self-tanning spray by Garnier. At last check this retails for about £8.99 at Boots, but it will almost certainly be cheaper at your local supermarket! I think I paid about £6.49 at ASDA the last time I used this product. ...Another review for you to sink your teeth in - my friends and family would describe me as a tan-o-holic, I'm not a fan of the "Hey look i resemble a bottle of Tango look" - But I crave the latino glow to go with my dark locks. A year to two years ago I bought and tried the St Tropez tinted mousse which applies to the skin as a mousse (exactly whats labelled on the bottle) in a brown colour so you can easily see where the application has been applied, also showing up any tell tale streaks which are all to common with some brands of tan. You exfoliate and moisturize as you would with any other fake tan product, then apply the tinted mousse wearing plastic gloves. ...*Introduction* The St Tropez autobronzant is a thick lotion which you apply on your face and body, and then leave to absorb for 4 hours before washing off to reveal your tan. It promises to be 'non-greasy' and 'quick drying' with a 'relaxing aromatic scent'. It comes in one shade only, but you can reapply two nights in a row to deepen the tan. I have really pale skin that doesn't tan at all naturally, so I have to be careful what fake tan I use as I can be left with orange coloured skin! *Packaging and Price* The packaging is quite simple and whereas most fake tanning products come in a brown or orange bottle, it is distinctive as it comes in a white bottle with black writing. St Tropez - quick non streaky tan that is easy to apply yourself!

...I love St Tropez products and usually treat myself to a tan for a special occasion to make me feel good. I have just started using the St Tropez mousse, although hesitant at first (I usually go to the salon and get this applied professionally) I thought I would give it a go. Overall it does what it says on the tin. - streakless, instant colour with a pleasant fragrance. As with the lotion there is a guide colour so you don't miss anywhere. I used a pair of washing up gloves to apply this product! Don't laugh it works, no stained hands and it went on smoothly. So in my opinion if the sun doesn't make a lasting appearance this summer (which could be likely!) purchase the St Tropez tanning mousse to give you that holiday feeling....
