...This product has got to be one of the most convincing fake tans I have ever found. Last year, being a very pale shade with the task of being a bridesmaid for one of my mates, I decided that I didn't want my pale skin to clash with the pale dress I had to wear!! So off to a salon to have the St Tropez professional tanning treatment. I was amazed! I emerged from the salon with a decent tan (as it is coloured you can see the effects immediately). The tan developed and I was left looking as though I had been on holiday. It lasted for nearly 2 weeks. A real confidence boost for the vain people amongst us!! ...My first experience of St Tropez tanning mousse was approximately 2 years ago when I worked alongside the beauty section within a department store. As part of the promotion within the sunglasses section we all created the summer look, including the use of the St Tropez tan to create that gorgeous beach babe look. Well all I can say is I was very pleasantly surprised. My previous experience of Fake Tan using a pump spray from Garnier left me hideously orange, very much resembling an oompah-loompah from Charlie and the Chocolate factory. Most natural tan!

Advantages: Natural tan, long lasting, easy to apply
Disadvantages: smells

...results and I recommend for the tan to fully develop to leave it on for about 8 hours. When I wash off the tan I can't smell it anymore which is a good thing as well as I don't think it smells to good. Once I wash off the tan I am left with a healthy looking real tan. The tan normally stays even on me for about 5-7 days then it can go slightly uneven and patchy. I normally exfoliate and scrub off the tan to make it even. I then reapply st tropez 2 days later, I find this best as it ensures you have got rid of the previous application on your skin ensuring even results this time. I normally buy the 240ml bottle which lasts me about 2 months if I use it once a week which makes up for the expense of it! Chocolate tanning sauce

Advantages: I love the smell! Non streaky/non orange if applied correctly.
Disadvantages: Don't over-rub or it will remove the tan

...to apply a very thin layer and top it up if you wish the next day. Applying too much makes it uneven and/or streaky. AFTER APPLICATION You may have noticed the smell while you were applying it. If not you'll notice it when it is in the process of developing. I quite like the smell as fake tans go - I couldn't really describe it very accurately but St Tropez describe it as a 'relaxing aromatic scent' and I suppose that's not too far off the mark. It's not a chemical smell like some of the spray tans you can buy. You MUST NOT have any water contact with the parts you applied tan to until the next morning. If you do, you'll have white splash marks and look rather strange. You must also avoid perspiring for 24-48 hours after application because that can also make the colour run. ...This product is for the new improved product (the photo is of the old packaging) I have been a St Tropez devotee for years now, I love its colour and the fact that its so easy to apply. In fact one of my first reviews for dooyoo was for the whipped bronze mousse. In this review, I mentioned that one of the disadvantages was the smell - people compare it to stale biscuits and it's just horrible. The colour is great but the smell lingers, but as all fake tans smell, I just kind of put up with it...until now! 2009 saw St Tropez releasing new improved versions of their best selling products. ...As a girl who has trouble applying makeup and beauty products, I was sceptical before reaching for the well known self tanner St Tropez. I bought the set -moisturiser, whipped mouse tanner, gloves and exfoliator in a set from Boots. I thought if I was going to attempt the sunkissed look, it would be vital I get it right! On opening the box I was overwhelmed by the instructions : Step 1 - Prepare skin by exfoliating. Step 2 - Use moisturiser on dry areas( I recommend using it everywhere!) Step 3- Smooth bronzer evenly onto skin. It seemed a lot of effort, but after using this product for a year now I have found a nice routine works best and the whole thing is done in minimal time. Not bad and extends a St Tropez Spary tan

...I have just returned from a holiday and before i went got fake tanned at my local salon using the St Tropez spray tan, as i was away for 10 days i thought it would be useful to take along a fake tanning product to top up my tan and keep me looking browner than my normal china white!. This St Tropez Everyday Tan was recommended and I thought as my base tan was already St Tropez it would be better to keep to the same. The tan was easy to apply and didn't smell badly like some of the fake tanning products on the market. It did take a wee while to soak in so it was best not to apply just before putting on clothes. The texture was nice not too runny or to gloopy. It managed to extend my fake tan's life by a few days but by around day 7 was beginning to look slightly streaky which wasn't quite the look i was going for. I did like it...
