...Well today it has really begun to feel like Spring has sprung! Warmer days will soon be upon us, and so with thoughts of a new (skimpier) summer wardrobe on my mind I thought it might be useful to write a review based on my experiences of self-tanning, and in particular my favourite self-tan product, St Tropez. I first used this product last spring having tried and tested probably every other self-tan product on the market (for the record my recommended cheaper alternative to St Tropez would be Ambre Solaire 'No Streaks Bronzer' self-tanning spray by Garnier. At last check this retails for about £8.99 at Boots, but it will almost certainly be cheaper at your local supermarket! I think I paid about £6.49 at ASDA the last time I used this product. ...*Introduction* The St Tropez autobronzant is a thick lotion which you apply on your face and body, and then leave to absorb for 4 hours before washing off to reveal your tan. It promises to be 'non-greasy' and 'quick drying' with a 'relaxing aromatic scent'. It comes in one shade only, but you can reapply two nights in a row to deepen the tan. I have really pale skin that doesn't tan at all naturally, so I have to be careful what fake tan I use as I can be left with orange coloured skin! *Packaging and Price* The packaging is quite simple and whereas most fake tanning products come in a brown or orange bottle, it is distinctive as it comes in a white bottle with black writing. ...My first experience of St Tropez tanning mousse was approximately 2 years ago when I worked alongside the beauty section within a department store. As part of the promotion within the sunglasses section we all created the summer look, including the use of the St Tropez tan to create that gorgeous beach babe look. Well all I can say is I was very pleasantly surprised. My previous experience of Fake Tan using a pump spray from Garnier left me hideously orange, very much resembling an oompah-loompah from Charlie and the Chocolate factory. Needless to say I was very apprehensive about using fake tan after that point. Prior to tan application, I had to go through all the usual rigour of exfoliation, moisturising and general skin preparation. ...We've all heard of the 'Brigitte Bardot made famous' resort of St Tropez. I've been holidaying in the south of France for over five years now but haven't been to St Tropez since my first ever trip to that neck of the woods. So, this year seemed a good time to check out the changes, if any, to see how the resort had improved or deteriorated. Sadly, the very impression one gets of St Tropez is a huge reluctance on the part of the town to welcome visitors, despite the huge amounts of Frances they will spend whilst sightseeing. The road system into St Tropez, the only way in unless you own a boat or helicopter, and some do, is unchanged to any noticeable degree. Not only is is unchanged directionally or physically, it has no proper traffic control systems on it either. This leads to huge raffic queues to get in, and huge traffic... Read review

...I have tried many Self Tan products over the past couple of years and had heard that St Tropez was good in many reviews, magazines and from friend's that have used the product themselves, so I thought I had better give it ago. I find using a foam self tan easier than some of the spray versions out in the market. St Tropez gives you a lovely, instant colour which is subtle, so you don't look like you have been rolling around in the mud and you get an instant glow whilst your tan is developing. Another advantage of the tint in this lotion, as it allows you to see where you have applied the lotion, which in turn helps prevent streaks. I would definitely recommend using gloves or a sponge whilst applying this product as the tint in the lotion can be difficult to remove from the palms of your hands. ...Now, I hate to be the only person in the world to find fault with this product, but I can't resist! St.Tropez, the self-tan of self-tanners, the be-all and end-all, the self-tan of Posh and Cat Deeley alike. Heaven in a bottle, surely? Not really, no. I was drawn to St Tropez after having experienced so many mishaps with cheaper, supposedly inferior brands. Most people have been there; I must have tried at least 10 other products, different brands, different textures and styles. I tried mousses, sprays, lotions, and tissues. I used dark, medium, light, and extra light. The prices varied from 99p to £10, but alas, nothing worked. I felt doomed to be pale and interesting forever more. ...St Tropez is a great range that contains all the products needed for a fantastic natural looking all year round tan. It claims to work instantly for a streak less application that will last for days. It comes in an 8oz bottle with a handy pump action, which makes it a lot easier to use. I paid £26.50 for this, which I know does seem like a lot. I initially brought the St Tropez mousse however this brought me out in a rash so I had to discontinue using it. My friend used this lotion so I borrowed a little bit and I didn’t have the same reaction so decided to give it ago. I did love this at first because it brought me out in such a dark tan and I even had one done professionally, which cost £25, I thought after it was a waste of money because it really is easy enough to do it at home and get the same results. Advantages: The streak free tanning effect and very advatageous as you can see where you are putting the product
Disadvantages: Drys very fast which can sometimes be too fast to keep up with and can cause streaks if not fast enough

...I have used the St Tropez bronzing mist and have found it to be the best tanning prduct that I have ultimatley used to date. I have used many tanning products from products such as Le Tan and nutrogenas version of a fake tan and before trying the Jungle Bronze self tanner and it was also very good but this St Tropez Bronzer is even 100 times better. I now have all my friends using it, It does not leave you with that horrible smell that most self tanners do and is really easy to apply with the advantage of being tinted so you can see exactly where you are placing it on your body and get the perfect "natural looking" tan, and no sun cancer needed. Basically I exfoliate and moisturise about half an hour before using it I then use gloves to buy the product, and you can use any decent gloves, moisturiser and gloves. I have not tried the St...
