38 St Giles, Norwich - Easily The Best Place To Stay
Advantages: Amazing levels of service, brilliant breakfasts, comfortable high quality rooms. Central location
Disadvantages: Can't think of any
...Tell some people that you?re staying in a ?B&B? and they?ll secretly conjure up mental images of Blackpool landladies locking you out after 9.30 pm.
Mercifully, this now only happens on cartoon postcards.
The B&B I?ve just spent two nights at, in the centre of Norwich fully deserves the accolade of ?best place I?ve stayed at in Britain in a very long while? ? not so much a lodgings as a luxury hotel with no dinner menu.
Well, actually it?s better than that. How many luxury hotels would allocate one of the owners to look after you?
I?m not alone in thinking this ? many accommodation and travel web-sites such as Tripadvisor now list reviews of the 38 St Giles B&B describing it as ?the best place to stay in Norwich?, and it?s not the most expensive by a considerable margin.
Situated at 38, St Giles (the clue?s in the name...

Stay at St. Giles in style
Advantages: The cost of booking over the internet.
Disadvantages: The delays of staff response
...Hi all i have made a mistake with this review this is for the St. Giles hotel in bedford avenue London not the one that i have written the review for sorry for any inconvenience. Silly me
The address is Bedford Avenue, Bloomsbury, Camden, London, WC1B 3AS
My girlfriend and me stayed at the St. Giles hotel while visiting London as we were going to see the Backstreet boys, well I was dragged along.
We looked everywhere over the Internet and the St. Giles was the nicest one we could find at a good price, well for London anyway.
The hotel is just off Oxford Street and near Tottenham court road tube station. Therefore it is ideal for shopping and great for getting on the tube to other destinations. There is also a theatre where you can watch musicals just up the road about 100 meters away so you do not have to worry about taxi...

You Can't Polish A Turd.
Advantages: location
Disadvantages: jaded, numbers of guests
...***Why The St Giles?***
Back in September 2007 my wife and I had decided we would like to go to London for the weekend and at the same time take in a show. After further investigation, we also realised that The Terracotta Army was on show at The British Museum and a Tutankhamun exhibition at the 02 Arena so we wanted a hotel that was adjacent to most things on our to do list, close access to Euston as well as having easy access to the tube.
We chose the St Giles simply because it appeared on almost every google search we did, had some decent reviews, offered an all in one price for the hotel and a show and was in a fabulous location.
***Location***
They say the three most important things for a hotel is location, location, location but I feel that location is relative. After all, an establishment cannot be located...

The Giles Collection
Advantages: A Good Collection Of Episodes
Disadvantages: A Rather Pointless Disc
...The 'Giles' installment in 'The Slayer Collection'; a series of really good episodes, but on an entirely pointless DVD - four episodes taken from context completely and thrown onto a disc to make a bit more cash. Still, good episodes.
'The Dark Age' (Season Two)
This episode focuses on a demon that can possess bodies coming to Sunnydale to track down anyone bearing a tattoo known as 'The Mark Of Eyghon'. The most recent death is of a man that Giles' knew, leading to a discovery by the gang of his rebellious past life. Ethan Rayne soon turns up and to add a bit of trouble to Giles' love life, the demon; Eyghon possesses Jenny Calendar, Giles' girlfriend.
A perfectly chosen episode as it centers entirely around Giles (and his murky past).
'Passion' (Season Two)
In this episode Angelus (previously Angel, having lost his...

ST Tropez Autobronzant
Advantages: Nice even colour, can see where it has been applied already
Disadvantages: Messy and expensive
...*Introduction*
The St Tropez autobronzant is a thick lotion which you apply on your face and body, and then leave to absorb for 4 hours before washing off to reveal your tan. It promises to be 'non-greasy' and 'quick drying' with a 'relaxing aromatic scent'. It comes in one shade only, but you can reapply two nights in a row to deepen the tan. I have really pale skin that doesn't tan at all naturally, so I have to be careful what fake tan I use as I can be left with orange coloured skin!
*Packaging and Price*
The packaging is quite simple and whereas most fake tanning products come in a brown or orange bottle, it is distinctive as it comes in a white bottle with black writing. When buying, look carefully at the bottle to check you have the right product though as the St Tropez body polish comes in a very similar bottle...

Meet me in St Louis
Advantages: Magnificent skyline. Lots to do and see. Wonderful music heritage.
Disadvantages: A number of attractions not wheelchair accessible
...We first approached St Louis at twilight and were immediately charmed by the unusual skylight dominated by The Gateway Arch which was bathed in a warm amber glow. We had driven down from Chicago along Route 66 and were pretty tired so we has little time or energy to explore ? St Louis would have to wait until daylight.
~~What?s in a name~~
First faux-pas of our trip! My pronunciation of St Louis was as in the title of the Judy Garland film and song. Wrong! A local born and bred in St Louis soon corrected me. The English pronunciation is lu-is. Lu-ee is the French pronunciation little used within the city.
St Louis is named after King Louis IX of France ? the only French king that was made into a saint. The city was founded by French explorers, Louis Joliet and Jacques Marquette in 1673.
Saint Louis is often known as the Gateway City...

Named After A French Saint
Advantages: See opinion
Disadvantages: See opinion
...~ ~ Saint Giles Cathedral, which stands on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh at the junction of the George IV Bridge and The Mound, is the main church in the Scottish capital. It is renowned as having been the mother church of the Presbyterian religion, the famous Scottish religious reformer John Knox being consecrated as its first minister shortly after the Reformation.
~ ~ It is quite literally steeped in history, and a visit here will tell the visitor much about the religious and political background of not just Edinburgh, but indeed the whole of Scotland.
The Bishop of St. Andrews officially consecrated it in 1243, but its four central pillars predate this by over 100 years, and date back to around 1120.
Its name relates to the “Auld Alliance” of Scotland and France against their common historical enemy, the English, St...

A St Tropez Tan
Advantages: Excellent colour, easy to see where applying as it is coloured
Disadvantages: Quite expensive
...This product has got to be one of the most convincing fake tans I have ever found. Last year, being a very pale shade with the task of being a bridesmaid for one of my mates, I decided that I didn't want my pale skin to clash with the pale dress I had to wear!! So off to a salon to have the St Tropez professional tanning treatment. I was amazed!
I emerged from the salon with a decent tan (as it is coloured you can see the effects immediately). The tan developed and I was left looking as though I had been on holiday. It lasted for nearly 2 weeks. A real confidence boost for the vain people amongst us!!
After seeing how the professionals do it, I now do it myself!!! It is much better to mix half and half with moisturiser. If you go wrong you just apply another thin coat. You wash the excess off about 4-5 hours later and you...

St Annes NOT Lytham
Advantages: lovely
Disadvantages: rubbish when it rains
...Before I start there is one thing I need to get straight Lytham and St Annes are two different places with 2 different town centres and I am reviewing St Annes and not Lytham. (ok it is now a single borough but the people that live in these places see them as separate towns) If you put either St Annes or Lytham into google etc you will get information on both Lytham and St Annes
The full name is St Annes-On-the-Sea which is shortened to St Annes .
A Bit of History
Colonal Clifton the squire of Lytham wanted to develop the area known as 'West End' (That part is now St Annes) All there was in 1870 was Dunes, a railway from Blackpool to Lytham and some farms and cottages that paid rent to the Clifton's. They had seen the good of Lytham as a resort so saw the dunes as somewhere they...
