...Tell some people that you?re staying in a ?B&B? and they?ll secretly conjure up mental images of Blackpool landladies locking you out after 9.30 pm. Mercifully, this now only happens on cartoon postcards. The B&B I?ve just spent two nights at, in the centre of Norwich fully deserves the accolade of ?best place I?ve stayed at in Britain in a very long while? ? not so much a lodgings as a luxury hotel with no dinner menu. Well, actually it?s better than that. How many luxury hotels would allocate one of the owners to look after you? I?m not alone in thinking this ? many accommodation and travel web-sites such as Tripadvisor now list reviews of the 38 St Giles B&B describing it as ?the best place to stay in Norwich?, and it?s not the most expensive by a considerable margin. Silly me The address is Bedford Avenue, Bloomsbury, Camden, London, WC1B 3AS My girlfriend and me stayed at the St. Giles hotel while visiting London as we were going to see the Backstreet boys, well I was dragged along. We looked everywhere over the Internet and the St. Giles was the nicest one we could find at a good price, well for London anyway. The hotel is just off Oxford Street and near Tottenham court road tube station. Therefore it is ideal for shopping and great for getting on the tube to other destinations. There is also a theatre where you can watch musicals just up the road about 100 meters away so you do not have to worry about taxi...

...***Why The St Giles?*** Back in September 2007 my wife and I had decided we would like to go to London for the weekend and at the same time take in a show. After further investigation, we also realised that The Terracotta Army was on show at The British Museum and a Tutankhamun exhibition at the 02 Arena so we wanted a hotel that was adjacent to most things on our to do list, close access to Euston as well as having easy access to the tube. ...*Introduction* The St Tropez autobronzant is a thick lotion which you apply on your face and body, and then leave to absorb for 4 hours before washing off to reveal your tan. It promises to be 'non-greasy' and 'quick drying' with a 'relaxing aromatic scent'. It comes in one shade only, but you can reapply two nights in a row to deepen the tan. I have really pale skin that doesn't tan at all naturally, so I have to be careful what fake tan I use as I can be left with orange coloured skin! *Packaging and Price* The packaging is quite simple and whereas most fake tanning products come in a brown or orange bottle, it is distinctive as it comes in a white bottle with black writing. ...This product has got to be one of the most convincing fake tans I have ever found. Last year, being a very pale shade with the task of being a bridesmaid for one of my mates, I decided that I didn't want my pale skin to clash with the pale dress I had to wear!! So off to a salon to have the St Tropez professional tanning treatment. I was amazed! I emerged from the salon with a decent tan (as it is coloured you can see the effects immediately). The tan developed and I was left looking as though I had been on holiday. It lasted for nearly 2 weeks. A real confidence boost for the vain people amongst us!! After seeing how the professionals do it, I now do it myself!!! It is much better to mix half and half with moisturiser. If you go wrong you just apply another thin coat.
