Gavin & Stacey - Series 1

Advantages: A strong British sitcom
Disadvantages: Still has it's odd critic

...Name a decent British sitcom from the last 5 years....now name one that isn't written by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant....or David Mitchell and Robert Webb...all you're left with (in my opinion) is a little known sitcom written by Ruth Jones and James Corden that has escalated from a bit-part in the schedule of BBC Three to one of the most loved comedies of recent years - Gavin & Stacey. The story goes of two people who have never met, Gavin (Matthew Horne) and Stacey (Joanna Page), but eventually decide to do so after months of chatting to one another over the phone. Upon meeting in the middle of Leicester Square along with their best mates, Smithy (played by Corden) and Nessa (Jones), they hit it off and decide it was one of the best decisions they ever made. Castle Museum in Kent

Advantages: Eclectic Museum set in pleasant grounds
Disadvantages: Not as good as nearby Hever Castle.

Advantages: Fascinating house, lovely gardens, easy to find

Wus a plum pleasant day, helving with jawsies and jokesies, and nabbling while filling the parish oven with a dossett (or a cantell) of the local Spitfire. I be properly pleased that I went to the first meet to-year. Or, for those of you who do not posess a copy of "Kentish as she wus spoke" by Alan Major: On an overcast Saturday, an large number of companionable non-Kentish visitors came a considerable distance to meet up with a number of excellent inhabitants of the county of Kent. It was a very pleasant day, gossiping with chatterboxes and witty people, and holding idle conversation while filling our mouths with a small dose (or an indefinite number!) of the local Spitfires.
