Within liner notes from Tony Visconti enthused about Stage and Bowie's live shows, giving some personal insight into their working and how this re-release of Stage returned the music to the original running order (previously it was separated into one CD of more conventional songs and another of less conventional instrumentals). ...of the Night Light unit with the motion detector underneath it and about 1.5cm in diameter. The whole thing is set on a white 3 pin plug. I have to admit that, at this stage I was less than convinced about this, as I have tried this sort of thing in the past with very limited success. Anyway we plugged one into the socket near the door of the guest room and as we don't have a socket on our very small landing we put the other one in the socket near the door of our bedroom just to see what it was like. The device has three settings and the choice is made by moving a switch on the top from side to side. You can leave the light permanently on which seems a bit wasteful to me but there you are! You can set the light to come on at dusk and go back off at dawn - this was the mode that I thought wouldn't work too well as I have tried one... Read review

...This is a musical film directed by Martin Scorsese and who are the Rolling Stones? The band consists of rock and roll legends Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts. The movie coincides with bands own release of their Shine a Light music DVD. Therefore most if not all of the songs contained on the CD are in the film at some point. The film was staged in the Beacon theatre in New York in 2006. The Rolling Stones are holding a concert for ex US President Bill Clinton along with his wife are the stars main guests. There is some swearing and drug related references occasionally during the film. My Feelings on the music related performance. The Stones gave the impression throughout that based on there method of performing that it was all too easy. Have no doubt that I am sure the band could have made up any new... Read review

From reading magazine reviews, I gage the opinion that the set as a whole delivered it’s fair share of surprises but perhaps ended up giving a little to much to the listener, something that surprised me as it is of belief that you can never have enough of a good thing. Argument will be that Kurt may never have intended some of these tracks to see the light of day, something that was always said of his ‘Journals’, but fact remains that when you become as big as he did, you rarely have the control anymore - something that may have contributed to his untimely death. The DVD footage was always promised to be the holy grail of the set, including early performances from the days of the ‘Bleach’ album, as well as some later recordings just months prior to Kurt’s suicide, making for a poignant viewing. ...When weaning my daughter, I found it useful to have jars around for when I was too lazy to cook some food! They are also great when travelling, as you just open the jar and the food is ready to eat! The difference between the other jars and Beechnut jars is that Beechnut is made for special diets. Most of the food jars are Kosher, or Gluten-Free or Soy-Free. My daughter really loves the Beechnut Jars - in fact she likes it a lot more than my own food :-( But I know when giving her the jars that the food is made well with no unecessary ingredients. They contain exactly what I would have made myself, and they are pureed perfectly (unlike my own food which always has lumps!). Sometimes the Stage 1 jars I find are a bit too runny, but as long as it is safe and doesn't have lumps for her to choke on, I'm not worried. Beechnut... Read review

Advantages: Crudup's surprising and engaging performance

...Maybe it’s because I was less than complimentary about Billy Crudup’s rather functional perfomance in Big Fish, or perhaps I was just in a sentimental mood as I settled down to watch this theatrical little tale, but I left it rather moved. No genius here, but a lot of heart made it something worth watching, if not an urgent recommendation. Seventeeth century English law decreed that it was illegal for a woman to take to the stage. As such, some male actors would specialise in playing women’s parts. Billy Crudup takes to the screen as Ned Kynaston, a beloved star of the stage, famed for his Desdemona, supported and secretly worshipped by his plucky dresser, Maria (Claire Danes). Her suppressed passion to emulate the object of her desire on the stage is finally given its outlet when one theatre takes the risk... Read review

...What always wows me about the My little ponies DVDs is how cheap they are to buy. For a DVD I would expect to pay around £12 but all of them are priced around £6. This includes all the movies, the mini episode DVDs and the mini featurette special DVDs. This is great for my purse as it meant I could complete my My Little Pony DVD Library at just under £30. Cost: £5.99 Place of Purchase: WHSmith Film producers: Hasbro Discs: 1 Episodes: two Released : April 2006 Cover: Illustrations on the cover are similar to that on the dvd - quite basic but still cute and rather old fashioned. But the classic style is what I love about the My Little Ponies, at one stage they did try to alter them to appeal to the Barbie girl market however it obviously didn't work and now I noticed they have gone back to the classic look.
